The Moon!?

Should we love her/should we love her not?

Yesterday evening when the clock struck about 21:00 hours (here in beautiful Europe) I sat next to my luv in the car, speeding our way home to finally have some diner. When I suddenly felt my heart stop for one second. I was like:"oh..my...God, lóók, the Moon!" I somewhat shouted it out. It was hanging só incredibly low, it looked like it was landing on earth (now would that be a fun and out of the ordinary thing to happen...yeah baby yeah...shaggadelic )! Anyways, it was só beautiful, round and big. I was totally amazed and my jaw dropped instantly (still in pain of that one )!

But why I am writing this is that I think I am very sensitive with regards to the Moon. I have been discussing something like this on another thread (though not so deep) but I seem to keep forgetting on which thread it was...
I had Cate (or was it Cat) telling me Moon and Venus are my singletons and ofcourse I am a Cancer Sun (and Mars). Last month I have been a wreck when the full Moon was slowly presenting itself! I didn't know it beforehand, I only found out when I was riding homewards on my shabby bike and feeling very low and mentally I was going nuts! Of course as an Aqua Moon I find myself thinking and thinking when something emotional comes up and with a full Moon (or a day before or after) it seems to be worse. A mental nutter!
Yesterday the same song ! I already told my sweety that it could happen again and we discussed the possible influence of the Moon. He has his doubts, he is not a big believer in such things but keeps his mind open at all times. It was a great discussion, I love talking like we do!

I told him yesterday:"see!!" But it wasn't fun at all! It totally influences my mood and I am so different and down. I want to escape and be on my own. My thoughts make me crazy!
Well now, I think the next time it might be better to really prepare myself because I obviously sort of ignored it again. Know what I mean? But then there is always the chance it could be something else as I know a lot of energies and influences are surrounding us. So it is not that I am letting a statement such as "the Moon will bugg me every month" kind of thing get to me. Pfff...is there anyone who would like to share experiences with me on this subject? I would greatly appreciate it~!
I really hate my moods but I know I should try to live with them. I am such a happy chap lately that I don't need one of my swings throw mudd in the food (that's a Dutch saying).

Hope hearing from ya áll!

Its important to prepare properly for moon transits and cycles, imo.

I got out and buy some cider, make sure i'm well stocked with tobacco, and sit down and try and expose myself to something uplifting.

Although last night it was a full moon here and i sat outside for a bit (i hope nobody saw me climbing in and out of my own kitchen window..i couldnt be bothered to use the door) and stood outside looking at it for a while.

Of course sometimes the full moon does different things, pluto and mars seem to have be big modifiers for me on how things go.

Yeah right, Mars does his job well too! I really feel it when Mars comes to bugger in on top of another transit. Like it intensifies it 10 times more!

Btw, I knew you would be the first one to react !

Another Aquamoon here and the Moon drives me nuts!! I wonder why everybody around me is going cuckoo nad WHY I am also looney...as arguments and 'happenings' get to a climax I look oustide and there she is...THE MOON!!!

Every time it happens!! Okay my progressed Moon happpens to be opposite my natal sun these days so when the moon transits my Sun it's very...emotional?talk about ebb and flow of the TIdes...read somewhere that with this aspect whatever I do in relationships sucks at the moment! You know what? it's true.Dammed if I do and dammed if I don't!

And since I'm an Aquamoon I think and think and think 'till I can't think no more...thinking I coul solve or understand if I just htink about 'whatever' long enough "WRONG!!!

High five! Exactly!!!!!

Think, think, think till ya drop!

Do you also find that when you are in this mood you need to find something that makes you feel better again soon so you can sleep and won't have to think anymore? I always need to find a solution as quick as I can so I can smile again. But then the next time round...oops there is the same problem and I do the same over and over again!

Yep! It is a nutter thing!

My Aqua Moon does the same thing, but lately I've taken to just closing my eyes, breathing, and firmly telling myself, "Quit thinking this to death," or "Don't worry..."
It works.

Yeah Prox, it does work but unfortunately not every time, sad to say!

Btw. people in here (at work) are nuts as well today! Really everybody is a total nutcase in my eyes! And you'd have to be really nuts for me to find you nuts . Well maybe they are not thát nuts ....
Yep, meditating works wonders for everything!
Ok, that'll do!

Greetings all!

I am Cancer Asc., Pisces Sun, with my ruler, Neptune, in Scorpio. Water, water everywhere!
Round comes the Moon, out pour the tears!
For any reason or no reason!
AAAARRRRRRGH!
Add to this mix my Moon in Gemini! Doubts, fears, worries I never knew I had, start popping up from all sides. I talk my dear ones to near insanity, and reduce myself to tears again when they can't seem to 'see' what I 'see'.
Think? I CAN'T think! I can only FEEL!
I learned long ago to work with this energy rather than fight it. I make a point of spending time outside in those lovely cool rays of soft, silvery Light.
The tears are cleansing, the talking therapeutic.
Many, many times the hidden doubts and fears that surface during this monthly rollercoaster ride reveal the direction I need to take when I CAN think again!
Love the Moon? Absolutely! Love her not? Always!
AHH! The joys of duality!

fajita...

Good strat, N_wEvil... stocking up on chocolate would do it for me.

Hmmm... do you guys think you're experiencing a particularly Air/Water conflict? That Air-"give-me-logic-or-give-me-death" versus Water-"glooble-glooble-drowning-full-of-watery-feelings" conflict? proxieme's advice sounds good to me; everytime I realize it's a full moon, I say "so _that's_ what all this (whatever it is) is!"

Moi, I just roll with it (that adjustable CancerMoon, one-size-fits-all moods and psychoses! ), although I'm responsive to whatever sign the full moon is in. If it's Sag, I try to go to a party... or Scorpio, I call a Scorp friend who's probably going nuts... poor Mercy, it bugs you, but me, I just try to maximize the mayhem and fun!! Mostly I just become aware of extra stuff going on-- my intuitive antennae shoot up higher than usual, and I clue in to either other people's greater intensity, or (mwaHahaaa) secrets! I get energized, not afflicted -- although, maybe if you took a poll of my loved ones, they'd tell you another story!

And I roll around with my cat, who goes nutsoid, of course. Just to please him, noNono nothing to do with my loopiness...

Hi Loonyfish, welcome to Lindaland! With all that water, I hope you brought a bucket! If not I'll lend you mine.

Yeah...uhm... L.L. that's what I have been reading about. Seems the Moon's influence is not only biggest when it's full.

Here's a link of a site onwhich I read about what happens and what happens not with a full moon. Is there a significant relationship between homocide and full moon etc..
What I did read is that animal bites seem to increase with a full Moon hummmm! http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/moon.html

And here's another one: http://www.space.com/fullmoonfever/

Have fun reading!

I used to work as a tech at two Emergency Vet Hospitals, one in So Cal and one in NW Portland. We always noticed an increase in dogs and cats with seizures. There was also an insane number of cases that would come through ICU, we would be running from animal to animal, trying to bandage up wounds, place IV caths and take x-rays. It seemed that the number of HBC's (Hit by Car) also went up with the full moon.

Surgery is not recommended during the full moon as blood, like water, can be influenced like the tide. People will bleed more during that time. The Farmers Almanac (www.farmersalmanac.com) bases their recommendations for castration, harvesting, growing, etc on the moon phase and sign.
I would drive in to work, look at the moon and know it was going to be nuts.

I notice that people get more emotional when the full moon is at it's peak as well.

I have a book about the moon's phases and the effects it has depending on the sign it occupies as well as how it effects people's moon sign. People that are in harmony with their moon (sextile or trine) are more likely to not be influenced negatively by the moons phases, unless there are stressful transits elsewhere. Those with conjunction, square or opposition, will be effected by those moon phases on a deeper level.

I will have to look up all the phases, but they correspond with new (conjunction), full moon (opposition) 3rd quarter - gibbous (trine), and so on (I really can't remember the others) sorry.

Hi Everyone
The Moon rules emotions and also bodily fluids - as we are mostly made up of fluid....you can see why the different Moon phases can affect us. Think of the ebb and flow of the tides in the sea. etc

Here's a link for you.....
http://goddess.astrology.com/moon/phases.html

Fortunately the Moon moves very quickly thru the different signs (2 and a half days approx in each). So whatever emotions it may stir up in you when it's in a particular sign will soon subside. If you do feel particular "un-nerved" emotionally at certain times you could try "tracking" where the Moon is. You'll notice which times it affects you the most. Personally I never enjoy the Moon in Virgo - I can usually tell you when it's there without even checking. I'm a Virgo Sun with Virgo Rising - what I've figured out is that it affects me when it crosses over my ascendant. Now it's not always bad. One time though it was awful, I was very weepy - which isn't normally like me......anyway I then checked and that particular Moon was void of course as it crossed my ascendant....blahhh

Try checking where the Moon is at times you feel especially emotional - you may well see a pattern....so then you'll know when to stock up on chocolate and hide under your bed

Hi Sue,

I know exactly what you're talking about!! Whenever the moon is in Gemini, I am accident prone and just nervous as heck. It just does not agree with my Virgo rising, squares my Mars and Pluto while opposing my Sun and Venus. The other hard Moon time for me is when the moon is shifting from Sagittarius to Capricorn. Whether it is due to the squaring from Sag or from Cappy to my Aries moon, I am usually on the fight and just drained.

Oddly enough, when the moon is in Pisces or Virgo, I am not feeling any real discomfort.

In fact, I am at my most romantically when the moon is in Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Aries and even in Taurus while Leo and Sag make me want to just get physically active.

Hi Pidaua
Hmm that's interesting re you not liking Moon in Gemini - your 10th house right? But I guess it's still the Mercury influence.
Gemini's my 10th but I can't say I've noticed too much affect when it's there. I'll have to remember to pay attention to it next time it's in Gemini. I guess I don't like the Moon in Virgo as I have a Virgo stellium there. So by the time it's gone over my Merc and Venus it's probably got me "jumping" by the time it reaches my ascendant By the time it reaches my Sun it doesn't bother me at all. All my Virgo planets conjunct my asc so maybe that's my "crumple button"

Acutally, Gemini takes up most of my 9th house and only a sliver of my 10th. I'll have to see when it hits critical mass. I have a grand trine with my Jupiter and Mars which trine my MC (24°25'43). My Ascendent is in the latter part of Virgo (almost in Libra) and it conjuncts my Pluto too.

I really should start keeping more of a "moon" journal. I am keeping a dream journal and listing phase and sign of the moon (and sun) just to see when my dreams are the most vivid. (I'm a geek)

Hey Sue - How are things going for you lately? Have things gotten better for you concerning the ex?

Hey Pidaua
Yes I know what you mean re keeping a Moon journal - I keep meaning to do that myself. I currently have to keep a journal re the Gestalt Therapy course I'm doing...so I'm a bit "journaled out"...if you know what I mean.

Thanks for asking about my ex situation. That's good of you to remember Finally last week we came to a settlement. I get to keep my home but now have zero money. He will finally move all his things out at end of May. So at least I will have my own home - he already has another home. So I'm relieved it's finally coming to and end and I can start to move forwards with my life. Just got to find a way to pay the bills now

How are things with you?

Hmmm just thinking...should we start a Moon tracking string? That could be interesting. We could post where the Moon's at and anyone who wants to could post how they are or are not being affected. What do you think?

Great A journal! I am definitely gonna do that! I have done, started, wanted stuff you mentioned, like looking at what sign the moon is in and such but never do I seem to stick with it or forget it or something else happens in life that I just don't see the need anylonger (why do you say I am changable? ). I just háve to do this now! Só interesting and very comforting for myself and seems a wise thing to do!

I love when the Moon is in Gemini, Aries, Sagg, Leo but I think I also like Taurus. And yeah it does change from one month to the other. Hmm, I'd have to check. I guess it also depends on where the other planets find themeselves.

Laters and thank you all só much!

Hey Cat, you're here too!

YES I find the Moon tracking string a great idea!!!!!!!!!
And it's so important to have your own place on this earth, your home! Sorry to hear you have zero money! Can we shake hands on this?! I was at a store today and I reached my limit when I pinned the stuff I wanted to buy. The cue became longer and longer and I felt there was this huge arrow above my head with a loud éh éh éh éh sound saying:"Mercy's reached her limit!" It didn't bother me then but strangly the cassier did! Weird! I am currently finding myself with about minus 500 dollars! Whaaaah!
But I have everything I need and more than I have ever wished for!

Now I am going to sleep!
