I am just coming to the end of my saturn return (due to finish around 17th May) and I feel really yucky..I guess I just need to understand a little more about the saturn return experience and how it will change my life for the better to help me through the way I feel right now..

I have read a bit about Saturn returns, but don't really know what to expect during these last few weeks - do the planetary influnces get stronger, plus what can I expect once this experience is over?

Love the site guys - Linda would be proud..

xx

PS - my birthday is 2/3/74 at 4.40am in Cheltenham, UK..

Hi Minxystar
Here's a coupleof links that give quite good explanations of what you can expect at your first Saturn return.

I went through a tripple saturn return in Apr 2000 (by triple I mean direct, retro, and direct again). There are things in my life that I refused to let go of, that were not productive for my growth. Since then, I have been forced to deal with them, like it or not. I've gone through two lay offs (currently laid off) lost my house, family, and just about everything else in the way of material possessions.

Still I'm happier now than I've been in a long time. Saturn gave me the opportunity to get my house in order, and when I didn't took care of it for me.

This was my 2 Saturn return, don't figure to have to go through it again, but if I do, I'll be more attentive.

Best of luck to you.

Yes I hear you re Saturn. He can be a VERY tough taskmaster but only if we've not being "paying attention". I too have experienced the whacks of Saturn and am also (as you know) currently unemployed, ended a 12 year relationship and have been fighting to keep my home but like you, I'm a lot happier now. The lessons can be tough to go through but I do believe that Saturn delivers a rainbow at the end

Lanny: That is awful! You made me so sad reading that.

How do you know when your saturn is returning?

Hi 1Scorp
Saturns 1st return happens at around the age of 29 (somewhere between the age of 28-30). So you just double that for your Saturn 2nd return.
Saturn takes approx 29 years to go around the 12 signs....so your return is when Saturn "returns" to it's natal position in your birth chart. What degree is your natal Saturn at?

To Lanny and Sue, I hope you both soon find the rainbow after Saturn's downpour. I can empathise with the struggles.

1Scorp dear, don't be sad, I'm not and I.m sure Cat isn't either. What ever saturn brings to our life, its for our growth and evolement. I've stayed in a relationship that was unproductive for both of us for several years. As long as I could avoid making the kind of decission I needed to make, I did. Saturn finally brought the necessary conditions where no longer had a choice.

Its all about trust, and if you trust the divine to provide you the opportunities for soul growth, you have to either do the work you need to, or have Saturn bring it about anyway.

Thanks for your thoughts
Lanny

Dear Minx! Welcome first of all !

No worries indeed. Just before my first Saturn return me and ex boyfriend (we split in the fall of '01) left from Finland (he is finish and we haved lived there together for 8 months during '99) to travel through England/Scotland/Ireland. We were supposed to live and work there but we returned to Holland after 2 weeks of spending a lot of money > We settled down here, got a great flat with lots of authentic (?) furniture (as I had sold all my stuff before I went to Finland) we got from an old woman in our family who moved to a home. And on top of it I got a great new job with lot's of opportunities. I still work there (a vocational school) and I discovered that I have teaching skills only at that time and how great it is to work with 16 year olds and older!
My current love is 3 years younger than me (so about your age) and just last year his Saturn return started (but as well Saturn was conjunct his Sun só..). He changed drastically, went to the gym 3 times a week, looked healthier and happier as never before, changed patterns, met new friends, and then on top of it all we became one as well !!!! This was something really unexpected for him (and for the both of us as we know each other already for a long time now) meaning that he didn't have a relationship for about 8 years so this was UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC, all those big changes!
Well, just a short discription that was . Hey, I am about to expect a Saturn conjunct my Sun...now that'll be a nice opportunity as well...YIHáá!

Saturn can be felt as a blessing!

Hi Cat and Lanny:

Well, I guess I'm a little soft hearted when it comes to certain things.

If it turned out great than ... well, that's great!

Cat: My saturn is 17* in 11th house

Hi Minxystar and All,

Saturn was good to me - tough but rewarded me well.

I finally started my bachelor's degree at the age of 29 and 5 months. Sure it was hard; sure I felt alone; but I moved forward into my self-expression and came leaping out the other end, so enriched. Finally I had something that was mine alone and nobody could ever take from me - an education.

Look Saturn straight in the eye and speak the truth, and he will be good to you.

Good luck
