Yay! With my Saggi sun/merc./mars/neptune, I'm stoked to be done with this Geminian .

I'm curious as to how the trining of my moon/venus/uranus will turn out to be....

Oxy, I'm not sure exactly what it will mean to have Saturn oppose your Venus. Trials and tribulations in love with the promise of newfound strength if you can work through them constructively, perhaps?

Hi Guys
Don't worry about Saturn moving into Cancer too much.....

By way of explanation for my at it leaving Gemini.......
Saturn in Gemini has been "whacking" all the mutable signs. (ie: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius & Pisces).

As you may all know - Saturn takes approx 2 and a half years to transit a sign.
For me personally Saturn in Gemini has "been playing with"
All of my angles (Virgo Ascendant, Pisces Descendant, Saggitarius IC, Gemini MC)
PLUS I also have 4 planets in Virgo & 2 in Sagittarius.
So I guess you can see that's a total of 10 mutable placement in my chart that have been doing "the Saturn dance" for the last 2 and a half years.

I don't think that Saturn being in a cardinal sign (Cancer) will be as tough. My reason for saying that is while Saturn was in a mutable sign (Gemini), transiting Pluto was (and still will be until 2008) in Sagittarius (Mutable sign) and so will have been transiting the same plants/angles as Saturn. So the mutable signs have been experiencing some major transit influences.

I read an article about a month ago on astro abby site re Saturn's move into Cancer. I'll find it and post it for everyone.

Here's the article from astro abby's site...

SATURN HAS HIS EYE ON CANCER

Ask any mutable sign (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) if the last couple of years have been 'difficult,' and you'll undoubtedly get a strong reaction. Mutable signs have felt like specimens pinned to a flatboard – trapped and sentenced to wait it out. June 5th brings a reprieve, moving Saturn out of Gemini and into Cancer. Saturn will remain in Cancer until July 16, 2005. So, what does this mean?

The most obvious impact will be felt by cardinal signs (Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, Aries). These signs will experience more challenges in relationships at home, school, work – just about anywhere. Cancers, in particular, may feel more 'on their own' and less protected or sheltered by friends and family. Cancers with strong self-esteem will use this time to prove their strength, independence, and competitive edge. Many Cancers are likely to face additional responsibilities, longer hours, and conditional support at best. Cancers may also face the consequences of past lifestyle choices. Librans may face crucial career choices. Like Cancers, they may be asked to take on a heavier load with less support or guidance. Librans may be expected to assume a decision-making role, not only in career matters but also in personal affairs. Hard choices will have to be made – and the buck will stop squarely in Libra's lap. This transit may steer Libra in a new direction. Capricorn is scheduled to experience partnership changes and adjustments. Capricorns are advised to carefully weigh the pros and cons of long-term business or personal involvements, because relationships may be draining and demanding. Capricorns must be especially watchful in financial relationships, and are advised to not contribute more resources than other participants. Aries may seriously consider making major moves, starting businesses, or reinventing their lives. A massive push to take control and start over is likely for Rams.

Taurus and Scorpio look at their short and long range plans, and make heart-centered decisions. Power, control, and dominance in the marketplace are less compelling. Many Taurus and Scorpio people may finally express their artistic and creative nature by writing, teaching, and lecturing. Always interested in healing, Taurus and Scorpio may work even harder on self-healing. Leo is likely to get in touch with the past – perhaps through genealogy, psychology, or general history. Questions about authority, a father figure, and respect will continue to command Leo's attention. Aquarius gets more serious about scheduling, particularly when it concerns health, diet, exercise, and career demands. Some repairs or home improvements may be delayed or take more time and money than anticipated.

Gemini and Sagittarius have learned serious lessons about conserving time, energy, and resources during the past few years, and are likely to apply this wisdom during the upcoming Saturn transit. By paring down expenses and eschewing nonessentials, financial stability can gradually be improved. Virgo is likely to reexamine key relationships and career aspirations. Stability and security (which have been in short supply during the past couple years) are still not enough. Virgo wants to live a significant life that offers personal fulfillment and global redemption. Pisces may find themselves in charge of another's life – possibly in a care-giving capacity. This may portend the arrival of a new baby or the responsibility of caring for an ailing loved one. Pisces can make an enormous difference in the quality of another's life, particularly during the upcoming Saturn transit.

God, tell me about it. I can't wait for Saturn to quit with the opposition. This has been an extremely trying time for my Sun / Venus in Sag along with the squaring of my Mars, Pluto and Ascendent. Let's not forget, Pluto is still in Sagittarius, so for us late born Saggies we will be feeling the conjunct over time.

Anyway, having Saturn in Cancer squaring my moon and opposing my Merc should hurt has much as being in between the Pluto - Gemini opposition sandwich. LOL

<shake left fist up at sky> "SATURRRRRN!!!"

<shake right fist up at sky> "PLUUUTOOOO!"

Might as well give up and just dance, sigh.

Hey pidaua, how's your work situation going? I think I'm feeling the effects of Saturn in Cancer prematurely! Wake me up when my personal planetary collisions are over, thanks.

Hi Lunargirl,

Well things are still rocky. I'll tell you one thing, this transit has taught me some major lessons in patience and how there are times when authority figures want nothing more that to stomp on the enthusiastic peeps. I also learned how fight when I need to fight and backdown when it is time. But, these two years have really made me evaluate everything, from work to my personal life.

I am still waiting for the effects to wane from Pluto squaring my ASC and Pluto, which is still putting obstacles in my path, but not entirely as bad as when Saturn was doing it's thing!!

What is going on with your work? Are you starting to see obstacles from your superiors?

Hey, pidaua

You sound like one of my best friends, an honorary Sag-- she's a Scorp, but has Moon, Merc, Venus and Mars in Sag, so Pluto and Saturn have been running her ragged in work matters too. You're both survived a lot, it seems.

Actually work has been picking up for me -- hallelujah -- I had a rotten year last year, due to an accident I had in late Nov. 2001 -- I was in physio for my knee half the year, and had to re-organize not only my work schedule, but career objectives. That was dear Saturn -- conjunct my natal Venus (I had the accident at an actors' union meeting), squaring my natal Pluto, plus Mars and asteroid activity galore -- still puzzling over that one. You see why you gotta respect those two big goons; getting on their bad side is like a bad encounter with Tony Soprano!

What I expect with Saturn in Cancer is more opportunity for work: harder, and more of it. I work for myself, so _I'm_ the authority figure, and I'm tired of my "boss" just scraping by... no money, no funny, ya know? Last year was all about Saturnian discipline grimly getting me through it. I would now love to get a nice fat contract and work my buns off for it. Also, my IC is at 1Can34, conjunct my Moon at 4Can7, conjunct my North Node at 4Can25, and both the latter opposed to my natal Ceres at 6Cap31, plus dear Uranus, newly in Pisces and trining all this, will also add some rocket fuel. With all this about to transpire, I cannot foresee anything but activity and change in my angular 4th House, home/career! An unpleasant but probably inevitable shakedown in the area of home has already started -- I've had a helluva week, but thanks to astrology at least I know what it signifies. I have a lot of planets, many of them cardinal, in the cardinal houses, and so I am trying to enjoy what is probably left of my strange imposed calm from Saturn in Gemini... because when those outer planets conjunct, I am going to be one busy lady.

cheers,
Lunargirl
