OK, boys and girls, what are they, who are they, how are they? Linda mentions them all the time, and I believe I am one. I know guppies and I know whales, but I need some clarification. Any fishes who have an opinion and any people who know fishes well who have an opinion I beseech you.

Cheers,

Swerve

I've actually been confused myself on this one:
She says several times that Whale-type Fish (yes, I know that whales are mammals) are aggressive Pisceans that have eschewed all "spiritual truth" and "fear nothing - neither man nor beast"...
although, given those guidelines, I can honestly say that I've met none so far (and I know quite a few Fish).
I'm probably the closest to that that I know, but I still spiritually seek (even if I do vigorously question) and fear (although I usually try to plunge through that...even though it could be argued that questioning too much is an act of fear, one of fear of trusting the Universe - or something - but I'll still question )

Perhaps I'm-a being harsh, but I'm going to say that the "guppies" are those that shy away from the power inherent in being a Piscean (the extreme power that we have for inward transformation - which everyone has, really, although we seem to have been given an advantage in the potential for moving back from ourselves and seeing it).

Perhaps those who both manifest that power and
a) don't turn it into a quasi-obsessive, inward nit-picking fest (woo-hoo - who here's experienced that shadow?)
b) continue to be open to everything about (yeah, Neptune) and
c) simply accept and love all of existence simply because it *is*, even as they may..."work against" some of what they see isn't quite right...pull Aikido on those aspects, I guess...
are the Dolphins that she talked about.

>shrugs<

I dunno.

I have come across at least 2 very distinct types of Pisces, with a few shades possible on either side. One is the typical quiet shy "lost in thier own world" types who seems to be surrounded by a magic air and look at you with an innate wisdom. They move very slowly, seem to disappear at times and connect very strongly with someone conversationally (the eyes) if the subject touches them in some way.

Then there are the others. Only a few mind you, but I have seen them. BIG personalities, gregarious, unmissable, the anti-thesis to their aforementioned brethren. They possess the wisdom of the typical Fish, but an underlying strength that is both sensitive and powerful. In moments of inactivity they can transform into the quieter type, but when engaged the force of character and will is an altogether different experience.

Those that I know ahve generally strong Moon signs (Aries, Leo, Scorpio), and maybe this has something to with it. But the levels of willpower and endurance are not typically Piscean.

What do you think?

Pisces, this is my sign I dont fit your stereo type Pisces, dreamy moody and indescisive.I have several fiends who are Pisces and they dont fit the above either.
In my case I find my Moon sign Taurus gives me lots of patience and grounding, I think being the last sign in the zodiac I have been given traits of many of the other signs.Compassion seems to be a big one with me, many times I can almost feel the pain of others, I have to be very careful, or my emotions can take me over.

You guys want to know a WHALE...just look at Shaquille O'Neal.

He was born on March 6, the same as I.

He's a Piscean and he really needs to be studied in Astrology.

Remember WHALES are one of the most harmless creatures in the ocean.

Unless they, y'know, sink a ship.

Not that the whaling ships didn't deserve it.

That's actually pretty much me - except for the wisdom part
For some reason, people that I met in passing a year ago remember me; one of my Drills in Basic said, "Russell, you're not someone that people forget."

I have seen some quite vacillating Fish (both my Mom & Step Mom, both w/ Sag Moons, for instance), though.

"You're not someone that people forget."
But Proxy, I understand that you have Uranus in your 1st house. So that would be one of the things that explain it
And a Scorp ascendant, which makes you appear strong. And Uranus is exalted in Scorpio

Hi Swerve, nice to see you again!

Proxy, Swerve also has a Scorp Asc. and a Scorp Moon as well. And Swerve, don't you also have Uranus in Scorp? I don't remember.

to all,

morgana

Thats right Morgana, how are you by the way?
I have Scorpio Moon and Ascendant and also Uranus in Scorpio. Neptune is also in my 1st house and this should accentuate the Piscean again though shouldn't it?

I know people react to me as a Scorpio, but underneath the Batman outfit is a Piscean after all.

Still, I wonder what it was she meant by this Whale thing? Surely, they would be the most potentially powerful beings of them all....

I am pisces, I think I am more like a whale, I do fit the characteristics of a pisces, though my moon and mars conjuntion in scorpio supply me with the energy passion and determination, well now anyway.

Thought there are times when i fizzle myself out.
