i just got a new puppy on fri. he is an aries. i can already tell. wish me luck!! we already have four aries cats. i suppose lots of people have aries pets considering when baby animals are born. anybody here have one? on the topic of pet familiars, i had a cat for 13 years who was my best friend. she was born on easter. she died 3 years ago. two years later we found 5 kittens newly born kittens on easter morning! coincidence or not?! we kept three and one has become my best friend again. i am sure it is my old cat. it was odd because we still have my old cats sister who is going on 17. when my new one saw her for the first time she ran towards her like she already new her. my mom said it was just because she thought it was her mom, but she still follows her everywhere - not always to the older cats delight. she also meows and runs towards me whenever she sees me. i know it is her and am so happy to have her back. anybody else have any pet familiar experiences? i'm wondering about the connection between astrology and pets and if they are born into a sign that will help to teach you the most. all i can say is that pets are awesome!!

I've always assumed pets (especially dogs) tend to act like the sign they were born under. I had a Taurus pit bull (name was Chewbaccha), who was the sweetest, most loving soul I have ever encountered. I think Dogs are on a much higher plane than us humans! I'm sure they are here to teach us something...maybe we have a lesson to l earn from the traits the animal was born under. For a Taurus dog with...say a Gemini owner, maybe the owner needs to learn more about stability....you never know.

I'm living with a Cancer dog. She sure knows how to tell a good story. Or when someone needs a tender nugging.

I have a kitty cat that was born in March (according to papers). However, I don't know what day... can't really tell if she's Aries or Pisces.

Always wants attention, and when I can't give it to her she secludes herself for hours.

Sounds like a Pisces kitty to me!

My b/f has a Cancer golden retriever, and he's just the sweetest, most loving dog I ever met. Loves affection, can't get enough of it, and he knows when his master isn't pleased with him. Won't even look at him! Very gentle soul, that pupper!

Our family dog was Aries, and a lovely soul she was/is. We were very close.

My kitty is a Libra, definitely my familiar, and typical of his sign, is beautiful, sweet, communicative, but when he feels injustice is done (like-- playing too roughly, or if he falls off the bed and imagines somebody pushed him!) he gets mad and won't rest until he's got your attention and communicates it (whap! goes the paw! or mild bite!). He knows many, many human words, asks to go "owwwwt"-doors, asked to be "brrrrushed", etc... He's nervous, a Fraidy cat except with his inner circle (us ), and a total sweetheart at the vet's, but when faced with other cats-- look out! A territorial tomcat scrapper beyond belief. Like a Kitty Van Damme. Which is why he's an indoor cat now, although he still has fights when other cats jump up on the other side of the window screen.

Proud to be owned by a cat,

That was a cute cat description Lunar.

Yeah, I think she might be a Pisces. Nothing like the cat I had before.

She's a priss. Have you guys seen Robin Williams HBO stand up special? He does a cat act and he reminds me so much of my cat Licks his paw and sticks his butt out, and says "Who loves kitty"

Here are some Petscopes!

That's funny, 1scorp! Another great human impression of a cat is the character "The Cat" in Red Dwarf. Slays me, but with that series you have to see it all from the beginning to get what they're talking about.

I have a Gemini Pit Bullwhoisthemost sociable, friendly, talkative, and wonderful doggy in the whole world. He loves everyone including cats. I have a scorpio Aussie and she is very loyal to me and my mother and that is it. She doesn't really like anyone else including children or other dogs. She is really jealous and won't stand to be pushed around. She tolerates Duke, but thats it. I think there is something to this pet astrology thing. Dogs are the most wonderful creatures. Anything that we have to learn about unconditional love and loyalty we can learn from doggies.

I had a cancer golden retriever, too. He was almost exactly the way lioneye described. He was the sweetest dog. Very sensitive and gentle. He was my best friend ever and I always took him everywhere with me. If I didn't give him a hug and kiss goodnight he'd be sad and lay near my bedroom door until I came out and said goodnight to him. When I was 3 I got a Leo kitty and he was always the total boss of the neighborhood. He was very lovable and needed lots of attention. He was defenitely the king of his domain (and of course, we were his loyal citizens lol). After he died we got two kittens, Kioko, a dilute calico Gemini and Akira, a Siamese Taurus. They were born a few weeks apart. From the very beginning they acted like their signs. Akira was a cuddly, lovable, lazy guy. He was really brave, though and used to try to climb a really tall fir tree in the neighbor's yard. Sometimes he would lay in the road and watch cars go by, which would freak me out! He went on walks with us around the neighborhood, too. He died because he was too bold and kind of clumsy. He fially climbed the big tree and fell out of it. Kioko always watches TV and sometimes stares at speakers playing music. When she's being pet she can't stay still. She has the shortest attention span lol. She walks around rubbing her face on every object in the general area where you pet her. My brother likes to tease her and get her mad, just because then he can pet her and love her and she forgets all about it in a split second, which is quite funny to see. Also, She's one of those cats that goes in and out of the house constantly. She wants out every five minutes and wants back in just as frequently lol. I think it's because she's a little Gemini, hehe. She's also very dextrous with her paws.... Shiva is another Siamese we got after Akira died, and he's a very very shy Pisces. He's incredibly shy and flighty. He's really sensitive and emotional with members of the family. He's actually kind of a recluse. He stays outside all the time and only comes home to eat and get loves, but never sleeps in the house.

Welcome Lynxina!

I really enjoyed your pet stories -- animals are so loving and unselfconscious, they really do act out their Sun signs.

I like all the stories. I kid you not... every post that is made... I read!

Lunar: I haven't seen that one. If I can find it, I'll check it out.

There's the Pisces You're description of the scorpio pet reminded me of myself!

Lynxina: I loved the Gemini cat.

Also, I wondering, if you purchased or adopted your pets... what made you "choose" that particular one?

I have a Gemini kitty and a kitty who is most likely a Cancer. I used to think she was a Leo, but I was wrong. If anyone's seen RRR's knowflake pet page, the Gemini is the orange one and the Cancer is the black and white one. The Gemini cleans the Cancer and lets her eat first. It's really sweet.
