To discover the color of your aura, just follow these steps:

Step 1: Let yourself become relaxed by taking a few deep breaths and exhaling slowly as you clear your mind.

Step 2: Stand in front of an off-white wall, in natural lighting, extend your hand, and hold it at arm's length with your fingers slightly spread.

Step 3: Let your eyes fall out of focus and visualize a small dot floating in the space between your thumb and index finger.

Step 4: Concentrate on the dot until your aura appears. (It will usually take a few seconds.) You'll see the color first around your thumb and index finger, and then around your whole hand.

Step 5: Once your aura is clearly visible, look directly at it and check it out in detail.

Note: If at any point during the aura-viewing exercise you get tired (hey, this is major brain work, you know!), take a moment to relax, then pick up where you left off.

And if you don't see anything at first, don't worry. Everyone has an aura — it might just take some practice for you to see yours. If the exercise above doesn't work the first time, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and try again. It works for most people by the third try. You should expect to see a muted glow of color, probably in a pastel shade.

Now that you've determined the color of your aura, here's what it says about your personality.

Yellow: Intelligence, strong social skills, dependability, friendliness, empathy for others.

Blue: Balance, tranquility, flexibility, optimism, sharp-wittedness, self-discipline.

Green: Healing energy, raised consciousness, (people with green auras often pursue jobs in health care).

Pink: Rejuvenation, sensitivity, idealism, talent, stability, longevity.

Brown: Practicality, stability, independence, interested in outdoor activities.

Purple: Creative, artistic, intelligent, superior verbal skills.

Orange: Strong achievers, social extroverts, independent, competitive.

Red: Impulsive, strong emotions, aggressive, restless, risk-takers, sporty.

As additional insight for the exercise, the first layer that extends 3 - 4 inches from the body is called the Etheric. This layer supports supports the physical body's function through various energy waves. A viewing of this layer reveals the state of physical health, which can vary with shades of blue, white, and grey. The Etheric is most often the easiest layer to see when first learning how to view the Auric field.

You should look longer. One of my friends said that when she first saw it, it was white and then turned a pretty turqouise. So dont let my post freak you out too !!

because yesterday while hanging out with a male friend of mine i saw a bright grey "fuzz" around him.

I thought I'd try this with an open-mind just to learn something new and mine came out blue... greenish-blue, but mostly blue...

I wouldn't let myself read the meanings before because I didn't want to taint myself... I guess I'm feeling like balanced, tranquil, flexible, optimistic, sharp-witted, self-disciplined today w/ a touch of healing energy, & raised consciousness.
