This has been puzzling me for some time already; Is it the same effect or the same thing when you do synastry for couples of the same gender? IP: Logged |

i would think so yes. even in friendships and family relationships i use synastries and composites. being gay really makes no difference in a chart, although sun signs seem to have differences in the attributes between men and women, although a synastry doesnt have anything to do with that, the interpreter of the synastry would do it in their head. hope that helps!synastries and composites are useful for any relationship, i have even done them with my birth data and the event data of my marriage, when my marriage was 'born' and i have found it useful. I agree with ana, that the interpretation of a queer chart is key.Same sex couples have broken out of the hetero world, and don't fit hetero stereotypes, so some insight into gay and lesbian lifestyles is required in order to interpret the findings correctly. Here's a link I found to resources for queer astrology -- they have a bibliography for how to apply astrology to queer matters, and couples. http://astroqueer.tripod.com/ cheers, Lunargirl IP: Logged |

When I do a relationship reading for a same sex couple, I just need to know it so that I can use the correct pronowns. Other than that, I see no difference. What we bring to a relationship is not gender specific, as far as I am concerned. That of course is only my thoughts, Lanny IP: Logged |

I have noticed that certain signs are happier than others in a relationship, such as Pisces and Cancer and that does not change. I know a gay couple who've been together forever and their biggest problem is usually too much time in the same house. Pisces/Cancer. Now this is my opinion, but it seems to me Gay Pisces and Cancers are a lot happier than Straight Pisces and Cancers, in their relationships. As long as they are in a romantic relationship that is stable. (bonded with super glue)Usually the biggest challenge with water signs is mutual nagging, and I get nagged when I say that, so that does not change, Gay or Straight;> Natasha

I knew a gay Leo/Virgo couple, so it seems to me the same peculiar astological mis-matches occure for them just like hetero couples. And, the dynamics are still the same. (the Leo "wore the pants", the Virgo was finicky and nagged about stuff, but preferred to NOT make the big decisions)IP: Logged | |
