I was just wondering what a north node in Leo meant or what a north node was.

Does it matter if I have a Taurus sun or Libra moon?

Welcome!

NN in Leo indicates what your Soul is here to learn through experience (to nurture Ego and receive recognition). I'd have to know which House it's in, but generally, it means that you were either too shy and/or afraid to claim credit for accomplishments in your last Life OR that you focused more on unselfish humanitarian pursuits and neglected your own needs. Live it up, and don't be afraid to demand attention or let others hear you ROAR!

Oh oh, now you did it, Randall.

What do you make of North node in Aries, in the 4th?

(not to mention Saturn, and Chiron)

North Node in Leo is about creativity, too. My partner has that, and recently 'recycled' his career into graphic design, where he was the star student, scouted on his school's portfolio night and given a job right away, got a better job later -- where before a recent week off, the big bosses called him into their offices to say how much they appreciate his work (in other words, don't use your vacation to job hunt!).

But until he went for that path, often his life didnt work, plus he was bored. The power of the NN in Leo is personal! So put effort and determination into expressing your vision, and you will succeed!

Kudos to Lunargirl! Yes, a Leo NN is also about self-expression.

Aries NN means that you depended too much upon marriage partners in your last Life and are here now to develop your personal power. There's a bit of a minor conflict with your NN being in your 4th House (ruled by Cancer), which means that you are also here to focus on your family Life as well. With your Heart as your guide, you needn't have to choose career over family. You can have both and reach a healthy balance between the two once you understand that this is what you are here to learn.

dear randall

i fear that you do not look too kindly upon me at this point in time as i seem to be a magnet for dissention, but i wonder if you might share with me the meaning of a node in pisces (mines in the 3rd, depending on which house system used, but thats plac). its one of the things that i havent been able to resolve within myself, even though i have read up on them, none of the interpretations seem to chime. your information in this thread has been very good. if theres any consolation, im sure there are others out there with node in pisces who would benefit from this information as well.

thank you, and in deep respect

Hello Randall

I have the North Node in Pisces in the 4th too. You are right the 4th is about balancing home and career and I have tried both with the emphasis on career. I have been working in real estate on the water for some extra cash and that is very 4th house. So the 4th house is about land and water too not just about the personal home. Although I do help others move a lot, and decorate their homes. Plus my own family lives in homes owned by myself.

I don't think you could find a more uninterested person in home life than me even with the North Node in the 4th and a Moon in Cancer/8th.
But then I have Mars and Rising in Sag, and Venus in Aries, Merc in Gemin/7th, Uranus aspecting the midheaven, and Saturn in the 5th so home is not big there.

I do need more help with the Pisces interpretation though. I have a friend with the North Node in Pisces too, in the 10th and she is very uninterested in home life but constantly moving. Is Pisces into constantly moving or traveling?

Don't feel bad, Ana; dissention used to follow me around as well.

For both of you: Pisces NN indicates that you are both here to serve others in a grand way--to help society and to make the world a better place. You will find happiness in actively joining a cause you believe in and in helping to make a difference in some way.

In the 3rd House (ruled by Gemini), your NN indicates that you were too religious in your last Life and that you are here to focus on more scientific pursuits. You should not blindly accept things as fact without research to that effect. Perhaps, you could help others through teaching or writing?

The 9th House is ruled by Sag and indicates that you were very skeptical in your last Life and are here now to learn to trust your intuition and lean towards faith, religion, and Spirituality. With a Leo NN, you could be a charismatic leader in any of those fields.

wow randall... i got goosebumps when i read what you wrote. you can see how thats quite relevant, huh? *amazed*

thank you for your wisdom and understanding! its most precious to me. in mind of your wisdom and understanding, you arent so bad yourself

i can see the pattern now from your responses to others, and i think i could probably have confidence in interpreting the node in other peoples charts now. sometimes i can have all the facts but lack the ?whatsis? to tie it all together in a way that is clear and decisive. i need to see it in action. thank you for that.

i knew what the node stood for, im conversant with houses and signs, but for some reason was drawing a blank for interpretations sake. thats past now.

*very thrilled about learning something new*

The Virgo NN means that person is here to attend to details. These people are happiest in careers where they can focus on precision, investigation, analysis, and evaluation. Far too "dreamy" in your last Life, you are now here to focus on more practical matters. The 4th House was listed above, as was Leo (same as the 5th House). The key to NN interpretation, Ana, is the balance between the Sign Placement and House. Some are very compatible, some neutral, and some are direct opposites! For example, Gemini/Sag: One is religious/Spiritual and one is skeptical/scientific. It can make for a very interesting individual.

thank you for the virgo info, ive realized that my husband has node in virgo. any clues about it being in the 1st house? thats got me at a standstill. people sometimes have a hard time understanding the 12th house, with me its the first. its interesting as he is a virgo with virgo rising, so that node makes me confused. i suppose he might be here to work on attention to himself? self growth? am i on the right track?

i can see a sag node in the 3rd would definitely make for an interesting individual. or conversely a gemini node in 9th.

i spose you wouldnt share your node huh? you dont have to, im just very curious now!

how would you relate the opposite node? thats got me stuck too. mine would be opposite virgo obviously, in the 9th, which happens to be where my libra stellium is, along with my virgo pluto. eek, ive stumbled upon a bees nest i think. its should be so simple for me to connect the dots, but i have this odd block. :/ its so frustrating. if you have a site that might help, feel free to share it! i dont mean to pester you with so many questions.

smiles and happiness

namaste to all in linda land. i am new here. i have been reading many threads and understand that you randall, are very gifted.

my north node is also in leo. being in the seventh house i assume that i am here to learn from relationships. would there be any specifics with my sun and mercury conjunct north node? also, mars is in cancer, but in the seventh house.

and another question: which of rahu and ketu is the north node?

The 1st House is the same as Aries.

Rahu is the NN. You are here to learn from a love union and/or marriage.

I have a very different view of the nodal axis...or maybe just addtional information, about which I have written. It describes the North Node as attention that we get and the South Node as where we should "pay attention" to raise or expand your consciousness.
I have a feeling that those Leo NN people did a lot of "acting out" to get enough attention. You can find "Nodes of the Moon" by Rev. Alice Miller on my site.
