I think different things work for different people because we are at different maturity levels and are looking for something else in our lives. I love people for that quirky little thing that they do, which is different than the rest of their personality and mine. It changes constantly, and it's hardly romantic. If a man is afraid of flying and always wants me to fly with him, I think that's cute but it's not romantic so the Neptune aspects don't apply.

We love rock stars because we lose ourselves in their reality, and rock stars do the same to their audience. That is Neptune but it is not love for me.

I tend to lose myself in people and vice versa so some of us need to control our emotions more than others, rather than feel more.

I agree that I do love people with Gemini rising and Gemini is in my 7th house, but it's not my Sun. Looking at the 7th and 8th house is good enough for me. My 8th is Cancer, that applies. I would like to whine once again about loving the Gemini/Cancer combination if you know what I mean. No stability, but lots of love.

After all, astrology only indicates, it does not compel.

We can't blame who we are on astrology, nor can we define a soulmate only through astrological connections.

Just thought it to be a bit o' fun.

i just felt my heart sink when i saw his pic lol... its a personal thing. ive been a highly active member there for awhile and i have had a couple of run ins with him. *shrug* makes no difference really.

the members there are very savvy. that forum is a wealth of info.

what i think about his own astro... well id rather not post that in public lest it should get back to that site and make my home there uncomfortable. the only place i would comment on it is in email. not that its necessarily bad, i just feel at odds because that really is my first home and i would hate to have my tenure there threatened by any misplaced comment. its very easy for me to think that as i have had a couple of posts deleted without cause there. freedom of speech or thought seems to not be encouraged.

As I do with all 'new' astrological information, I put the theory to the test.
I was blessed in this Life to spend 15 years with he-who-is-me.
I have tasted the sweet bliss and bitter heartbreak that go with such a relationship. Therefore, I had a ready-made test case.

I must say, I was surprised at the outcome!
I did not give much weight to sign conjunctions, but for test purposes, I did allow for a wide orb of 10 deg. All placements are Natal.

1) Neptune aspects.
My Neptune conjunct his Moon - 9 deg.
My Neptune sextile his Sun - 3 deg.
My Neptune sextile his Mars - 10 deg.
My Neptune square his Venus - 3 deg.

"Double whammy"
His Neptune trine my Moon - 2 deg.

2) Planets orb conjunct Angles.
My Moon conjunct his Desc. - 6 deg.
My Sun conjunct his IC - 10 deg.
My Mars conjunct his IC - 3 deg.

"Double whammy"
His Mars conjunct my IC - 7 deg.

Also interesting:
His MC conjunct my IC - 5 deg.
His Sun sign conjunct my Desc.

3) Aspects to Nodes.
My Venus conjunct his North Node - 8 deg.

"Double whammy"
His Sun conjunct my South Node - 7 deg.

4) Aspects to Vertex.
My Sun trine his Vertex - 3 deg.
*My Asc. sign conjunct his Vertex*

"Double whammy"
His Sun sextile my Vertex - 3 deg.
His Moon conjunct my Vertex - 9 deg.
His Venus square my Vertex - 3 deg.

5) Luminary aspects to Venus.
My Moon trine his Venus - exact

6) Eros & Psyche
No conjuction here, but they did say it was rare.
Some interesting aspects to our planets and angles though.

So, anyway, there may be something to this.

That's one of the reasons I posted the link, to see if anyone else might notice any of these trends...and again, they are very simplified, when it comes to soulmates.

But, the love I've had in my life the past 2 years, he and I have every one of those, some double whammys, AND an Eros/Psyche connection. I know very little about Eros and Psyche, but was surprised when we had something that seemed so...I dunno, arcane, maybe?

Astrology is a complex science, I'm not sure you can boil down soulmates to '6 indicators.' But on the other hand, these indicators might be interesting tools to incorporate with others....

...just a little food for thought, that's why I posted the link. Also some of these aspects are agreeable to some of the indicators written about by Stephen Arroyo, one of my favorite astrologers, so I felt compelled to look at them a little closely.
