I can`t locate further info on this 14 year group. Anyone have any further info or links? Thanks

Your Neptune is in Libra

You are part of a 14 year group of people who have a very idealistic sense of brotherhood and universal cooperation, which, among other things, fostered the peace and freedom movement. Your age group is also interested in the spiritual philosophy and ideals of other culture,....

Hi Juniperb

Here's something from The Astrologers Handbook........

Neptune in Libra (1942/43 – 1955/57)

Neptune in the sign Libra is the sign position of the present post-war generation. During the war the institute of marriage was subject to much confusion and an increasing divorce rate. The resulting broken homes led to uncertainty of values regarding relationship obligations among the younger generation. There is an instinct for emotional and social conformity with Neptune in Libra, which in its negative expression results in the blind leading the blind. This is manifested in such contemporary phenomena as drug abuse, rock music, and the psychedelic culture. On the positive side, Neptune in Libra gives the present younger generation an intuitive awareness of social relationships. The concept of mutual social responsibility is based more upon the spirit of the law and less upon literal interpretation. This sign position has brought about the development of the new forms of art.

Hope that helps
Sue

Thanks Cat . Yes, it did help but left another question.

It read (1942/43 – 1955/57), does it mean it didn`t include the year 1953? Thats the year I drew the above info on. The info came from ivillage (don`t remember the .com ).

Have a great week-end!!

Here is a clip from "A Coven of Planets", taken from Neptune in Libra.

Libra Neptune points out the relationship between the thinking Mercury-mind and the vast data-networks of the Universe. For a truly functional life, Mercury and Neptune must marry, learning to cooperate and share. This placement emphasizes the need for interaction between right and left brains. This generation established the first species-wide contacts with the unknown world of spirit, opening the way for the intentional use of magical principles.

Hi Juniperb
Yes it does include 1953.
The dates the book gives as per my above post are from and to (covering the 14 year period)

Hope you're having a good weekend. It's baking hot here in London.
Sue

PS: I haven't checked but I'm guessing the reason they give two dates (from) and two dates (to) will be due to retro periods. Neptune probably went in and out of Libra at the beginning and the end of it's transit thru Libra.

Thanks Cat and Rev. Alice

That helps a lot and of course I would be born during a retro .

Hot? We`ve been under a deluge of rain and cold temps. I`m cold and am thinking of building a fire in the fireplace.

Hey, Cat...could Mars be stiring up severe weather as well? Like extreme hot tempuratures, and fierce storms?

We've gone from one extreme to the other. Blistering hot to torrential downpours, which lead to flash floods. We've already exceded our average rainfall for August, and it all pretty much came down on Wednesday and Thursday night.

Also, how do you think this Mars scenario will affect a sun/moon Virgo?

(sorry, Juni, I know you started this thread to talk about Neptune. I hope you don't mind my taking it down a different track for a minute )

Only for a Leo! Besides I find the question pertinent to our weather situtation also.

Hi lioneye
Yes I've also been wondering about all this heat (bin 100 degrees in London ) and the fact that Mars is now approaching the Earth reaching it's closest point in (I think) 73,000 years. That will be when it reaches 6 degrees towards the end of this month.......in exact opposition to my Venus - so who knows what the effect will be.

I also read that Mars will not get this close to us again for about 87,000 years. It's actually visible in the sky now without having to use a telescope.

What degrees are your Sun & Moon at? There's at lot happening re Virgo at the end of this month....5 planets will be in Virgo plus Mars & Uranus will be opposing them. Did you read my string re Mars now Retrograde - some info there re the end of this months planetary action.

I'm having a little trouble getting my head around the current transits - purely because of how it's affecting my own chart. So much stuff happening all at once. I have Mercury, Venus, Asc, S Node & Sun all in Virgo plus Mars is rocking and rolling back and forwards over my Pisces desc and N Node. It's always difficult to look at your own chart - can't be objective about it

How have you been feeling lately? Notice any significant changes happening?

I'm not the Virgo sun/moon that I was asking about, actually. It's my sweetie. (although I'm starting to suspect he has a Libran moon...moon moved into Libra at 2:20am the day he was born, and all he knows about his hour of birth is that it was "around 2:00am".)

Oh, how have I been feeling? Kind of intense actually. thanks for asking, Cat! Kind of stressed out and walking on a tight-wire. But excited about ...something. I don't know what. How have YOU been feeling lately? This transit's really poking at your natal chart, isn't it?

I just went back and reread Cat~s Mars Retro string and the events seem to becoming stronger, just as the links say. I actually am preparing mys-elf for the agressive stance. Lots of good books, a time out corner and bags of chocolates.
Actually, I am taking this seriously and have been preparing spiritually as well.

Much love and Lite to all knowflakes thru this event.

How are you preparing spiritually, Juni? Are you preparing to be challenged spirtually? Hmmm. Actually there's been a fair bit of that going on around here lately, hasn't there. I feel like I should be doing something. I don't know what though. AAAHHHGGG!!! I need to call God on his cell. What's the number? Anyone know?
