How do you determine the age of which certain events in a person's life would take place? Things like when he/she would probably get married, serious health problem at which age, etc.

Can recommand books/site? Thanks people!

Hey, Monk
I pulled up a thread for ya, which at least looks into the marriage thing. As for the other stuff, it's vedy vedy complicated, but I'll take a shot at it...

I've heard it said that "YODS" are indicators of health. These are apects that involve 1 point inconjunct to two other points. Like, for example, a planet in Leo aspecting both a planet in Pisces and a planet in Capricorn. Both Pisces and Capricorn are on either side of the sign Aquarius, which is the sign exactly opposite Leo. (180 degs away, directly across the zodiac) Each one would be 150 degs (give or take a few degrees) away from the Leo planet. This aspect looks like the letter "Y" in a chart, and is otherwise known as "Fingers of God". When transiting planets create a yod aspect with your natal sun (reigning over life force), it could represent a critical point in your health, especially Pluto and Saturn I think. I'm no professional, I'm just regurgitating stuff that I've read.
Hopefully someone who's more sure will pop in and elaborate/confirm/clarify.

Hope I haven't utterly confused you!

Saturn transits have a large effect on people.

As a rather poignant example one of my half-sisters died when saturn was directly opposing my mothers' natal Chiron.

Also the saturn return to its natal position at around 37-40years old can represent a change of direction (Mid-life crisis).

Essentially if you have any saturn transits aspecting "heavy" parts of your chart, watch out.

I have saturn slamming my moon/north node in a couple of years which should be interesting.

I agree with N_w about Saturn. When my Mother died, transiting Saturn was oppossing my natal Moon (mother); also when I myself became a mother for the first time, transiting Saturn was nearing my natal Moon (responsibility, motherhood). When I got divorced, transiting Saturn was going through my 7th house (partnerships) and squaring my natal Sun, and I've just been through several health problems from Saturn transiting my Gemini Sun.

Two other planets to watch for are transiting Uranus and Pluto when they form conjunctions, squares or oppositions to your natal planets. They can indicate sudden change and/or loss; for example transiting Pluto was also exactly opposite my Sun, and transiting Uranus was exactly square my natal Saturn, at the time of my Mother's death which was sudden and completely unexpected. Hope this helps.

Hmmm now that I think about it, I think YODS are more indicitive of ongoing health conditions and/or diseases that erode the health slowly.
Uranus has to do with SUDDEN health issues/bodily injury, and Saturn, well it's just a bas*tard in general. (I mean that with all due respect, Mr. Saturn. Please don't punish me )
