Hi purplezen
Do you have an accurate birth time? As that's needed to be able to interpet a chart correctly. Without a birth time we don't know the ascendant or the house postions.

Well, here's a start...(copied and pasted from Ana's hard work of typing out the interpretations from Donna Cunningham's book 'Moon Signs')

The moon describes your emotional nature, but it also describes your mom, or mother figure in your life. How does this description fit your mom, Purplezen?

moon in gemini

mom was an interesting person and never let the grass grow under her feet. always on the move, curious about everything in her environment, she'd be classed as a kind of female peter pan. she was more like an older sister than a traditional mom- in fact in many cases an older sister did play the role of the mother and may be the person described here rather than the biological parent. responding positively to verbal development, she excelled during the 'why, mommy?' stage, fostering and even rewarding curiosity. there was a great deal of mental stimulation in the home and great emphasis on communication. she nurtured her childrens minds with far more attention than she devoted to the body, for tedious routine tasks made her skin crawl. confronted with a childs heartbreak, shed try to explain, talk it away, or change the subject. try to get her on the phone when your life is falling apart, and the line will be busy... for hours.

Cat, All I know is that I was born between the hours of 2am and 4am.

Lioneye68, thank you for trying to explain. Actually, I still live with my mom (I am 21) and dad. And she was never like an older sister to me, although I do have an older sister (and a younger one) and we are very close. I don't know about my mom being always on the move, but my family has moved around a lot. I have lived in nj, hawaii, florida, and now nj again. My heart is still in florida though, as is my mom's. My mom never really rewarded curiosity, she was not very open-minded when I was growing up. She is a leo, and my dad is a libra. We get along ok I guess, but I don't really "talk" to them about problems, since I was punished for crying as a child.

Purplezen, you should redo your chart and use 3:00am as your birth time, even though it's not exact. Narrowing it down to a 2 hour time frame is good enough. But usually if a mother thinks about it for a while, she can remember a more specific time. Unless she was under anastethsia, of course.
