So, just how much credence would ya'll put in the chart of an event - of, y'know, say, a marriage?

Mars Rx, and contracts -- Do not pass Go, Do not collect $200, Do not Do.

Do not sign major contracts, Do not expect no delays, Do not plan for peace, Do not plan for cooperation, Do not plan for the ability to pay attention. Do not set up partnerships.

(OK Lunargirl, do not engage in anymore rhetorical overkill, 'K?)

For some reason I get this intuitive message about what can happen after made-during-Mars Rx partnerships: one person accusing the other, saying "You never told me that!" The Vegas wedding reality bite. But maybe I'm just waaaaaaay too conservative and doddery (well I'm over 35,000 years old, we get this way).

Go for good Venus, Jupiter and Saturn aspects, IMHO... Jupiter is still in Leo, Saturn in Cancer is a good stable be-serious-about-us-and-our-home influence... plus Venus moves pretty quickly, she oughta be coming into a decent aspect with Mars once he is stationary or direct.

I love you, Lunargirl.

After talking quite a bit with anafaery (I love anafaery, too), what do ya'll think of these?:

Beam, beam. <Lunargirl taking a compliment, oh looky thar> I love you too, proxieme, you are the rock and the roll.

Overall I like the second chart better-- positive Saturn aspects are important for marriages -- but I'm not sure about all the retrogrades. The Nodes, Neptune, and Uranus are all going retro -- is that relevant? Although I think I would take them anyday over Mars Rx... maybe check out those Nodes, tho', as wouldn't it be cool if they made some kind of conjunction with the er, "affianced" couple's natal charts? But don't quote me on the auspiciousness scale, just not sure.

And... er... do people think it's necessary that a couple's synastry or composite chart be compatible with the event chart? Your guess will be better than mine, 'cause I totally dunno. <rats><no rat smilies that I know of>

<swiped from a Cat-posting...>

quote:
Mars is the Planet of War, and in a retrograde period it causes anger and discord to turn internal. Passive aggression, inner angst, stress and anguish are all attributed to this planet in retrograde. Turning emotions inward rather than releasing them in a more healthy manner can cause anger and hatred to be misdirected. Like Don Quixote, you are battling demons you can't even see. Severe road rage and issues with internal wellness may be highlighted during this time. More balanced individuals aren't as affected by Mars in retrograde, but during its influence none of us are as saintly as we'd like to be.

i was thinking that the first one was a bit better, yes there are some squares, but they are not all necessarily bad, and a relationship needs some tension sometimes. overall i thought the moon in the 8th was the better bet. i explained why to prox, i wont go into it here

its not even that bad really. i was tellin corri that that chart is way better than my marriages chart, although it has its special things too. i dont like venus in the 8th. ah well, they both have their pros and cons.

things are more spread out in the bottom one, but in the top one, the right houses have all the important planets.

virgo ruling the 7th is a nice thing in some ways. i think i would rather have libra moon in the 8th than pisces moon in the first, whats your take on the moon lunar? pisces moon is a lovely moon to have but im thinking for an event (especially this kind) it would be better for a libra moon.

oh btw you can totally do a composite/synastry using each persons chart with the event chart. its often quite telling, and will point out who will get what out of the relationship, who will pick up what role, etc.

bob marks thinks he invented it, but im sure people were doing it before. i did it before i ever heard of him.

heyas Corry,

the planetary composition nowadays is not that bad for a wedding but definitely the time of the ceremony should be changed, not 5 PM, it gives Pisces Rising and Mars/Uranus on the composite ASC is not good, not for a marriage chart. Change the time in order to change the house cusps and try to avoid Mars/Uranus on ASC and especially- Mars/Uranus in the 12th (not good that one). Saturn in 5th should also be avoided at all cost!!!! Try to fit Sun or Jupiter near/around/on DC, Sun stays in 7th, Jupiter could be close to DC from the 6th... Mars/Uranus in 11th house . That means the time should be adjusted to just an hour or two forward or backward not sure what direction, try 4 or 6 PM. Also it would be nice, very nice if the rulers of the 1st and 7th house are in a positive aspect to each other. But you have to play with dat one for awhile..
Thats from me...running for a lunch now

proxie...congratulations to you both!

Just a thought, many weddings these days are on Friday evenings, it's become quite fashionable. Perhaps a Friday around the time you're thinking might give you some nice aspects to play with?

Best Wishes...
