Eighth Moon, yes, I have the book. It`s terrific, for someone who likes research, as I do.
"But it seems that he only considered conjunctions on the site."
He has found out that conjunctions, oppositions and trines work as "relationship-trigger", but not sextile, square, quinkunx and semisextile.
Even though he sais that the sextile is a nice, friendly aspect, and some people seem to like that for relationships (Ringo Starr is such an example); the only problem with the sextile is that it can be "trumped" easily by conjunction, trine and opposition.
"can you tell me if he considers the trine the same as the conjunction?"
Both the trine and the conjunction act as relationship trigger, but the trine is more harmonious, whereas the conjunction is more intense.
But the most intense, sometimes to the point of challenging, aspect is the opposition.
Some people prefer the harmonious trine to the opposition, but not all.
But of all aspects the Sun-Venus-conjunction and Sun-Venus-trine appeared most often (that is not to say, the others didn`t appear; quite the opposite: for stormy affairs there were often Venus-Mars-aspects at play).
"Didn't he also consider natal to natal in determining attraction? I thought I read that in one of the examples."
Yes, he does, and that`s what often keeps a couple together, if the progressions have passed.
But progressed aspects are apparently more urgent and intense, urging you to get involved "now", whereas the natal aspect are kind of a "dormant ground" most of the time. But they are the ground, on which solid relationships are built.
