Ok, I know ther are a few out there with oodles of Scorpion energy in their charts...I reconnected with an old friend last night. Now, he has: Sun, Moon, Mercury,Venus,Mars, and Urinus in Scorp. and a Cancer rising. I was just wondering if anyone might be able to shed some light on this large Scorpio influence in a chart. Does anyone have anything similar? Any experiences with anyone with similar influences? Not to mention, the Sun, Moon, Merc., Venus, Urinus, and Pluto are all in the 5th House. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Oxychick, wooo hoo! All my hairs are standing on end! I'm excited and scared all at the same time. Yeowza!! I understand your curiosity! I don't know too much about astrology. In fact, I'm learning about it in order to figure out a particular Scorpio "connection" of mine! I have Sun, Merc, Venus, and Neptune in Scorp. My ex husband is a sag, with scorpio moon. And I know a couple men with scorpio rising signs. Your friend is likely nothing less than intense. Tread carefully, and . . . enjoy this creature. There are alot of people out here writing about scorps (or trying to figure them out!). And Greg, 1Scorp and I are curious as to what your Sun sign is. Astrid IP: Logged |

Hey Astrid and Scorp1My sun shines in Libra... My scoprio energy can be intense, but I think Libra finds it a bit distasteful... Plus I have some cool aspects that temper things a bit... I could be wrong, I'm a fairly new astrology student Greg IP: Logged |

Hi Greg, I'm a new astrology student, too. Nice on the Libra sun. Same here. . . I have Gemini rising, which tempers alot of my scorpio energy as well. Mars in Virgo and Saturn in Pisces help too. I think. I have a pretty long wick, and am pretty laid back, too. (taurus moon) Do you find, with all that scorpio energy, to have plenty of scorpio-like tendencies? IP: Logged |

Hi Astrid,I definitely find have Scorpio tendencies. My intuition is quite strong sometimes, it seems to have been really kicking in as of late in particular. My venus in scorpio is always seems to be there too… I also have a pretty long wick, (libra hates conflict) but once the fuse is gone, look out. But it so rarely happens that I really get angry, I can only think of 2 or 3 different times I’ve really gone off, even freaking myself out a bit… Greg

FUNNY! This seems like the place to air out where our scorpios are, so here are mine- Sun, Mars, Uranus......The mars scares me a bit, from the limited astrology I know..* BTW...Mercury and Pluto in Libra. In my group of friends, I am the resident "expert", in this place called LindaLand, I am a newbie. Perspective is everthing. Oh, and from doing the simplified chart of my eight year old son, He has Scorpio Moon, Venus, Jupiter and Pluto. He is Saggie sun sign, and Aries rising. Be afraid.....be very afraid! IP: Logged |

Hi!:-) I have lots of Scorpio/Pluto energy in my chart - my Ascendant, Moon, Pluto are all in Scorpio. My Scorp moon is in my first house, and my Scorp Pluto is conjunct my ascendant. Pluto is the second most influential planet in my chart (after the sun, the moon is the third most influential), so I have a definite Scorpionic/Plutonian influence. :-) I can attest to being pretty intensely emotional, secretive, and I definitely have that Scorpio gaze! My friends will sometimes ask me if something's wrong, because of the brooding or thoughtful expression I often have (which I mostly don't realize!). I love it when I can maintain good eye contact with someone, and I'm infamous among my friends for the "nasty" looks I can give those I don't like (another thing I hardly realize! - my "nasty" looks are a reflex.) As for the negative Scorpio traits of being possesive and jealous... well, I don't like to admit it, but I honestly am. I'm only that way about people I feel connected to though, never about material things, just doesn't mean as much to me... Doesn't take much to get me jealous, even though I'll never admit it if you have.:-P Another thing I've noticed among Scorpios (Scorp moons, especially, and myself included), is the tendency to be not just a "loner" - but the feeling that you're an *outsider*. I don't mean that Scorp moons don't have any friends or anything like that, but that they tend to have a very tight, core group of people they're comfortable with, and have difficulty relating to a wider group. We like the security of that core group, I think. It's often difficult to relate to other people, unless it's on a /deep/ level. I think when Scorps have friends, even if they just goof off and joke around (like I do), they keep them and are possesive of them because they honestly "click" on an important level. And sometimes they just have people around they don't particularly care for, but are useful to them at the moment (notice how I'm using "they", trying to remove myself from this type of person...:-P alright, I admit it, I'm sometimes guilty of this!) I and most people I know with a Scorp influence absolutely despise anything superficial - especially small talk. It's a real annoyance for me to answer questions like "what's up" or "how was your day", because most of the time I know the person is only saying that to have something to say, which strikes me as just unnecessary. (though, myself, I have Venus in Leo, so I can stomach pleasantries a bit moreso than others I know. but I still get sick of them after not too long, and want to get down to something with more substance) Anyone else feel this way, or notice this among Scorps? hmm... well, this is getting a bit long. It's a little weird to talk about myself like this... hope no one I know reads this! (there's that Scorpio secretivity... :-P) well, I really hope I was able to help you out, Oxychick! :-) ------------------ ~ *Vespertine* IP: Logged |

hello oxychick! well, don't make this guy angry, that's for sure, because he's not likely to forget it. I have scorp sun, merc., venus, and mars, and my saturn is in cancer, jupiter is pisces, so lots of water! With so much scorpio and then cancer rising, he's likely to go crawling into his shell if his ego is wounded (which won't take much) and disown whoever made him angry and forget they exist, or plot revenge while he's in there. Venus and Mars both in scorpio mean "passion and intensity" in all areas of life. He's definitely an extreme type and is "all or nothing." Black or white, no in between. He either hates it or he loves it. Despises weakness and superficial BS. When he loves, it's all consuming, and with cancer rising he'll probably smother those he loves and be very possessive. Also, watch out for the jealousy issue. He's definitely got issues with being jealous w/ those placements! He has to be reassured by the object of his affections, no two ways about it. He probably doesn't have too many friends, not many people can handle the intensity and moodiness of all the water influence. It will take special people, real people, to get close to him and really get to know him. I hope this helps. I could go on forever with that chart! Mars and Venus both in scorpio, with the moon, make for one hell of an individual, very intuitive and secretive. I bet he's a neat fellow. IP: Logged |

I wrote a whole reply last night and lost it b/c I used too many smilies.Hi Greg! Maybe I jumped ahead of myself without a specific question in mind, but I was really curious to see just what people might come up with when they thought of such a large Scorpio influence. Libra/Scorp mix huh? They can be quite magnetic, in my opinion. Aphrodite, I mentioned his Cancer rising b/c it added to the buckets of water in his chart! 1scorp (or as juniperb pointed out, 5scorp), ask away! I am all ears. astrid...I have Gemini rising too! pixelpixie, he's still young yet. Nah, that combination sounds very strong-Sags are quite outgoing. Bissie, I never would have pegged him as a Scorp! I always thought Cancer for some reason. Very interesting.... Vespertine! Welcome to the board! I definitely see what you're saying about not making small talk. This particular friend immediately stops the conversation when it becomes anything other than witty and entertaining. Hi moondust! He was head over heels for someone I know and his emotion s just ran so...deep..when he turns his emotions toward someone, they really seem to stick. Sometimes he really falls into the melancholy pits of despair. I guess all in all it's very interesting to me as I only have water singleton in my chart-Urinus in Scorp. Thanks everyone-I'm learning a lot here. Keep it coming. IP: Logged |

Tks Oxychik Gemini asc, too? Cool. Do you find an affinity with other air signs? I've only dated one, a Libra. He had Scorpio rising, and lived in the dark depths. Scary. Really always had to have the upper hand, yuk. Possessive, and when I was out of sight, he got overly jealous and acted out by cheating. oh well. Emotionally immature.I attract fire, and like fire men. But. . . lately I've been hoping to meet up with a Taurus. Hey. . . I'd like to work my way around the whole wheel. . . variety is the spice of life. (gemini talking). I've spent most of my dating world in the latter half. GeminiAries, how are you? Still getting through your letting go process? I know how it goes. I'm right there with you! I'm feeling pretty good tho, now I feel as though a big weight has been lifted. Now I feel free to find the one who will appreciate me. And express that appreciation! Take care, Astrid IP: Logged |

Hiya Astrid! Libra/Scorp. Like Greg? Every Libra/Scorp mix I've ever known has never had a problem finding a date! In fact, they seem to have problems being without one! I think meeting a Taurus man is a great idea! My Taurus friend has recently helped me in a number of ways. And it all came about when I least expected another Taurus influence in my life, but we have known each other for a very long time. In that sense, trust is very important for Aquas as well as Taureans, I think. I am very attracted to airy and fiery men as well. Airy men are easy to befriend. I think the only sign I haven't dated is a Pisces, although one kissed me out of the blue once. Actually, another Pisces recently tried to do the same thing. Hmm. Fishy. Good luck on your quest! Hey Greg, No problem there! We like to spend a bit-o-time, with company, in the deep inner sanctuary. Pisces. Whew! Enjoy them while they last. I had a beautiful love affair with a Pisces for 5 months early this year. I don't regret a bit of it. Fishy, yeah, in the sense that you can only HOLD them so long. Then you must let them swim away. Wow. Great experience. Great learning experience, very expansive learning lesson for this fiercely possessive/fixity gal! The lesson was to learn to be able to love fiercely, then let it be at any time. NOT an easy thing to ask a scorpio to do. I was angry for several weeks when it ended, but, I'm grateful for the lesson. I wouldn't recommend a CASUAL love affair to a scorpio, though. It can tend to bring out some of those less desirable traits, you see. If you can imagine a poor, little fish flopping around with about 50 puncture wounds in it. . . gasping for air. But . . . he hung in there with me, and handled with extreme care and I'm happy to say we're back to being "just friends". Very cool. Gotta let those fish free to swim. (don't think I'll be doing THAT again anytime soon!) Peace, Astrid
