Does Mars in the eight indicate someone who is into rough sex like youknow- war-like(Mars), sex (eighth house)?

I have Mars in the 8th house, and I'd say NOPE, but it sure provides a great deal of sexual energy, and a healthy appetite for it.
Depends on the sign too, I have it in Leo.

Interestingly enough, I read that this placement can mean victim type scenarios, that is, other people taking it from you forcefully. The 8th house deals with that which is valueable to OTHERS, perhaps at the detriment of the 8th house person.

nothing like that has ever happened to me, btw.

I know an 8th house Mars who is quite verbal towards her partners and can fight very well. She can be very cutting and sarcastic, but her Mars is in Capricorn too. I do not find Mars in the 8th to be very dominant, in fact this friend is so quiet she won't even make her needs known until she has to, I would say she is on the less assertive side.

Mars in the 7th can be argumentative, and I do think Mars in the 8th can be very argumentative but tends to build up more slowly. I am very argumentative myself with Mars in Sag in the 1st so it's hard for me to judge.

Saturn, or Venus in the 8th can be like what you are describing. I don't know if you mean a natural inclination or someone who just wants to go with anything new, but I tend to think of the 8th house as more curious than the instigator.

I have found Mars in Pisces in the 1st to be very rough towards partners, another girlfriend. Look at the square and opposition to the moon. If the Mars is in opposition to the moon that can be a struggle, combined with a square to venus. Then there is the square of mercury and jupiter. Or the conjunction of Neptune and mercury. Mars square pluto can mean a violent temper.

hi,
virgo mars & moon in eight house here.
the fact that my moon accompanies my mars,i become attached to someone i love though if that is betrayed or not given respect, i can either lash out(mars) or just simply vanish from that person's life as if i was never there ( this is my scorpio sun in 10th house)

Oh. I thought that the eighth house had primarily, sexual associations.
That is weird about about Mars in the eighth house having a possibility of sexual victimization(sp?). Where did you read that lioneye? I have to read more books about astrology but I am kind of wary because there may be a lot of erroneous information out there and I hate to spend my money on crap and I hate to check books out from the library.

My eighth house is Cancer but I don't know what that means.

Oh, geez, I don't remember where I read that. It was probably on the net, though because it was fairly recently. The eight house deals with all sorts of things, but yes, sex is one of them. Sex of the intense, bonded at the soul type, only found in deeper unions. Not the romantic, playful, ga-ga type of sex, that's 5th house.
But it's the opposite of the 2nd house which deals with that which is valueable to US, and our own personal values. The 8th house deals with that which is valueable to OTHERS, as well as the personal values of OTHERS (this is where Scorp gets their need to "teach people a lesson" about what they perceive as screwed up values)

I digress. So, 8th house deals with deeper bonds, and how we're connected to others through those bonds. Money (other peoples) Property (other peoples), and also Death, Birth and Sexuality...Sex is a different kind of "connection" if you know what I mean, but it's so much more than physical. Sex itself is a source of spiritual expansion and wealth, and potential fruitfulness (i.e. new life) This "Other People's"-ness nature of the 8th house is the root of Scorp's jealous nature too.

Mars, if badly afflicted can indicate violence surrounding the issues of whatever house it's in, (or those issues of the house the planets on the other side of the aspect are in.)

A badly aspected 8th house can mean... that which is valueable to other people may be obtained at the detriment of the 8th house person.....See the connection?

About what books to buy...I never fret about buying Astro books, because you'll pull them out over and over again over the years. It's not like you read them once and then you're ready to trade them in. They're referrence books. (although mine tend to end up all over God's Green Acres, but that's ok, as long as they're being read and people are being enlightened I'm happy). I have found that there are some disagreements among astrologers on various points, but they're mostly miner points, and after you've read enough you can see that the majority of the time they're in agreement. It's good to know as many veiws or "spins" on any given aspect as a possible, so as to better get the "jist" of it.

What are you interested in right now? The planets in the houses?

And someone that has Nep in scorpio in 8th?

Hmmm. To tell you the truth, the net is the best source for that. Every astrologer has just a paragraph or two on each planet in each house, so it's good to read as many sources as you can, and you can do that for free on this wonderful thing called the internet.

Keep in mind eigth house is also other people's money. Issues involving someone else's income, an inheritance, banking... Mars may bring up some serious arguments depending how the planet is aspected.Depending on how old this person and his/her parents or relatives are, a clash about a will may occur at some point in his/her life. --- or something similar involving other people's money.

heres something;

Mars in the Eighth House: planet of action. They’ll put the moves on you. Be prepared for lots of physical activity. One exception. If their Mars happens to be in the sign of Gemini, expect the original minuteman (or woman). Those with this placement have to be extra careful with credit cards (Mars is an impulsive shopper and the eighth house is other people’s money; this includes credit matters).

my Mars is in the Leo 8th.

i have to agree that it's more spiritual sex than playful (not that i don't have playful sex, thanks to the Leo energy). i think of sexual bonding as something that can transform us and bring to the next level of awareness... it's a way of spiritual bonding.

secretive and intense... it can be that way, or it can be something else. i'm really open sexually. i like all sorts of sex as long as it doesn't involve blood and animals and the mister number 2, you see... that's disgusting. i should just say i like variation.

so... that's my Leo 8th house Mars experience.

I have this placement. My Leo Sun and Mercury are in the 8th, and so is my Virgo Mars.

I am definitely interested in sexual intensity, and in the deep psychological aspects of sexuality.

I have Mars in Aries in the 8th. Typically a session of sexual intercourse will result in one or more of the following:

1) Local Fire Department is called
2) Wallpaper tends to curl up at the edges
3) Ceiling fans may explode
4) Neighborhood blackouts occur
5) Furniture is subject to damage or destruction

OK, so I am sarcastic about this, but it is true that this placement of Mars makes the native trend more toward the sexually active.

I would think someone with mars in the 8th would express his/ her mars on the 8th house stage...

So he or she will express his/ her energy, drive, assertiveness towards sexuality, death, resources and values of other ppl

If someone is inclined to rough sex is something I think we couldn't read from the chart...

Besides, is rough sex rough when your sex partner agrees with it... and even ppl who like it rough, like it soft other times too...
