Hi all, The thread on the Capricorn moon got me to thinking about people I know. I know several Aries suns that don't "act" like Aries at all, except for the fact that we are all rather stubborn and opinionated when trying to make a point. I see the moon signs in these people much more than the sun signs. Example: myself- Virgo moon/Taurus rising I am down-to-earth, calm, cautious, analylze everything. Always the "good" girl. Good in school, read ALOT. I only "lose" this if I drink! My moon conj. pluto and uranus. I can be creative, although have to be motivated to do so. Oddly, no one ever guesses me to be an Aries sun, ALWAYS a Pisces. All of the Aries suns I know, I would never guess to be Aries either. So, my question is, do you exhibit your sun or moon sign more stongly? Cindi ------------------ Feel it, Mean it, Say it IP: Logged |

I dunno - in some ways, in different ways, I'd say that I manifest them both about equally. An interesting note that I noticed: My beau's an Aqua Sun, and I noticed that the Aqua/Aqua description in _Love Signs_ fits about as well as the Aqua/Pisces (although it must be noted that his Taurean Moon is _quite_ apparent, as are both of our Scorpio Ascs - especially where jealousy issues are concerned). My sister is an Aries sun with a cancer moon and ascendant and she has always been very emotional and moody and it shows.Hubby is a Gemini, HATES to talk to people, only does when he has to-we fight about this all time. Virgo asc. Taurus moon. Interesting. Cindi ------------------ Feel it, Mean it, Say it IP: Logged |

I find that I'm a total gemini (sun), except that I'm an emotional eater (7th house taurus moon). Ok, sometimes I have a hard time getting started on stuff lol, but then the gemini kicks in and not only do I have a hard time starting (housework!) I have a hard time sticking to it, too (hey look, I found that book I was looking for last year, where did I leave off?) lolAnd I talk. A lot. You guys never noticed, though, I bet And my scorp asc. only shows itself in that I hate anybody knowing my emotional world, otherwise I'm so unpossesive and non-jealous it's not funny. But gemini is really strong in my chart...maybe it depends how strong your sun is placed as opposed to your moon or asc. In my case I have an 8th house sun, in conj. with Merc, trines pluto, sextiles MC, Jup and mars, opp. Uranus. My moon only opposes my AC and has no other aspects...maybe this is why? Interesting question! Nackie IP: Logged |

(to 12thhousearies)Doesn't sun square moon make you more moody anyway? I'm taurus sun & virgo moon. I feel like an equal mixture of both.IP: Logged |

12thhouseAries, if your sun is in the 12th house, it's kind of like being a Pisces. So, that explains why people guess you to be Pisces most often. I have an 8th house sun, and me and my Scorpio buddy really are alot alike. So whatever house your sun is in, you'll seem more than a little like the sign that house rules over.

*giggles*I'm an honorary Leo, then Hey, lioneye - what's your Moon in, then? The 2nd? The 3rd (using Placidus)? Have you noticed yerself acting out those energies, too? I ask 'cause, dern, sometimes I'm as flighty as a Gemini (w/ my 3rd House Aqua Moon). IP: Logged |

Prox, you've got a 5th house sun? No wonder you're so ultra-groovey and fun Yeah, my moon's in the 2nd house. I see it in odd little ways, like...when I'm worried about money I tend to have nightmares. Also, my sense of financial security seems to fluctuate from one week to the next, maybe even from one DAY to the next. I don't think I seem Taurus like really, except probably at work. (which makes sense since Taurus rules my 6th house)

the house placements are a good point. i was thinking about it a few weeks ago and am glad it is brought up here and being discussed. if these placements are further indicative of who were are, besides the sun . . . then i must be super duper cappie with a capricorn moon, with venus, mercury, mars, and sun in the 10th house move over randall . . . just kidding! a. Aphrodite,That is interesting, I had been thinking about house placements too. I have a friend that is a scorpio w/ a leo asc. Very loud, gregarious and gay. He has a 4th house sun. He is 44 years old and still lives with his father. Another friend, a sag. w/ scorpio asc. puts herself out there, had a face lift and boob job. She says "look at me". 1st house sun. I have a 12th house sun-obviously and a 5th house moon. People are always surprised when I goof off and have a good time, they never expect it. I think you're on to something.... U exibit ur ascendant tha most. moon is the impluse and reaction (emtional) to the undersatnding arising (big or small) out of the information processed by mercury. sun simply is inner energy, desire and vision of the ideal world for the individual. sun means inner self. the energies lying underneath. and i think for those who don't have their ascendant and sun the same, only plto can bring the power to dig in. please note: everyone here, including me, has the tendency to talk as if we knew a heck lot of astrology. actuallu this is knowledge obtained from various sources. don't trust on it completely! ------------------ N IP: Logged |

Hi, wow!! This is a topic I have been thinking about quite a lot too!! I have Sun in Scorpio; 2nd house, Moon in Gemini; 8th house and a rising Libra. I find I supress or don't seem to have a lot of Scorpion traits, eg the willpower, intensity, loyalty, directness which I thinks due to my Libra rising!! I keep saying yes when I mean no!! Wanting to please everyone and conform to other peoples views!! Which is even more stressful as my Mars is in Aquarius so I want to be individual and free. I'm not good at sticking to things and often flit from project to project in the typical Geminian way! Does anyone else have this terrible fate!!!?? Also, and this is odd, I seem to attract Librans constantly as friends and get on with them instantly!! I've probably babbled on too much but its nice to know others feel the same!!

Pixelpixie,That is wild! My friend is also a RN, that is how we met. I felt like I had known him my whole life the first time we talked. This guy would move heaven and earth for a friend, but don't cross him! He will tear you up and spit you out-quite emotional at times, but I love him to death! Lots of people have described me as "calm" or "calming". I am also the peace-keeper and the mediator in most situations. Friends and family ask me to call places or go places with them so that I can charm and negotiate the best deals for them. Maybe it's a little Leo Sun. It could have to do with the Aqua rising, but I'll bet it's the Libra Moon and the 7th house stellium. The "calm" part is weird. It is funny, what people think. Especially because I am the most impatient person I know. IP: Logged |

I have a Scorpio sun, mercury and venus with a Gemini moon. I don't know my ascendent as I have no birth time. I have very scorpio traits. It's annoying not knowing my house placements. IP: Logged | |
