Hey Jason:If you do a chart for July 4, 1776, you DO know what you will find right? Yes, it's accurate. And since this country is in the sign of Cancer, 2004 will find many resolutions and productivity in politics.
Another way is through numerology as well as astrology. Can't remember right this second where I've been getting information on what type of year it will be. For example, it was totally expected that 2001 would be one of those "radical" years, and so on.
If you are interested in that, I will find the source for you.
As for the culture of people and their traditions, you might try tracing whatever religion or philosophy started the whole craze. Perhaps it's so far back you'd find some clues in the AGE it started, i.e., Age of Aquarius? nooooo...
I read in one of the classic astrology books that in the Age of Aries, for example, it was like the Age of the warriors and EXTREME confrontation, all the time on every level.
Another approach might be simply understanding what form of "love" these people are LACKING. In other words, what do we know that they don't know. Look at radicalism and cultural diseases and place an astrological value on THOSE repressive powers rather than the people.
My favorite book in the whole world, that if I were president I would make a required reading, is "Escape From Freedom" by Erich Fromm. We NEVER WILL BE completely free and clear of repressive regimes! Or INTERNAL repressive uprisings. I believe that will all my heart. As much as you may think we are secure right now in the U.S., we are NOT. And I don't mean another country invading us. I mean, we carry the communist/repressive gene WITHIN US.
The main premise of the book is that we all find ourselves at one point or another literally escaping from freedom. In our american culture today, I'll tell you why we are at high risk. Because people are moving away from their center, their inner voice, their intuition, and relying on OUTSIDE sources to "make their day". With added complications and INFINITE options and choices (which is a wonderful by product of freedom), you also find those who are overwhelmed by too many choices and seek ONE WAY OF THINKING, ONE WAY OF DOING THINGS, and basically, want a manual for what to do.
It has a lot to do with the need to feel our lives are not out of control, or that we have control over our lives. That we FEEL like we have a purpose, rather than doing the WORK.
Classic examples are extreme beliefs in ANY direction. Like when Jesse Ventura sarcastically said Bible thumpers were weak, he meant that they caved in and they CLING to the Bible, RATHER than embrace it.
Do you see?
We are all naturalists to begin with, REACTING to an order. That's why yes, we all have the RIGHT to freedom, but we ALWAYS have to fight for it, and don't think for a second we don't.
And by the way, it DOES sound like you were Japanese in a previous life. Yes.
with love & support,
.gloria
