What signs or combinations increases chances of someone having the conviction of knowing what they want to do in life while they are younger (before 25 years old).

I FINALLY have that conviction at 42, feel totally at peace with my capabiities, and even have the follow-through to stick with it.

To me, EVERYTHING in life was so interesting and I'd have to check it out. So it's been a VERY long PROCESS OF ELIMINATION to find out what I DON'T want.

Not saying one is better than the other, and it probably goes hand-in-hand with my being a writer (seeing all sides of the adventure). I'm just wondering so that some people can realize they may need to hang in there and fight for their freedom and independence in order to complete their own "process of elimination" as well. To know which astrological influences would make which process come more naturally.

Thanks,

All I know is that Saturn usually makes up it's mind early on. My cousin knew right away that he wanted to do and he's got lots of Saturn. Gemini, Libra, Venus and jupiter are always looking for the next big thing I guess. Just like you said, they want to do so much. The MC is important to, if it's afflicted there's usually lots of problems figuring out what they want to do

Hmmmm...

I just noticed a pattern I hadn't noticed yet, relating to Saturn & Jupiter.

I have my MC in Aquarius in 10th hs. (Saturn)
I have Jup & Sat in Capricorn both in 9th. (Saturn & Jupiter)
My 9th house's Capricorn. (Jup & Sat)

Also in 10th hs. (Saturn) is:

South Node in Aquarius
Chiron in Pisces
Pallas in Pisces

Anyone see anything about anything with these patterns? There's GOT to be something to this.

Thanks,

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has been searching for conviction!

I personally believe that those people who know their path in this life have decided it either in a previous life, or during the "in-between" time (between lifetimes). There are clues in our charts that tell us where (and who) we've been, and what lessons we've learned. I have found that by meditation, listening, and finding joy in everyday things and events, your soul will tell you anything and everything you want to know. It was difficult for me to learn to listen for the whisper, but it is so very worthwhile.

When I was around 10, a female adult asked me what I wanted to do when I grow up. When I replied, she said "You can't do that, only men have that profession."

Soooo, I do it, I've been doing it for many years. Also knew pretty early on that I wanted to write, but that goal slept for many years and just recently restarted.

Dunno what to attribute this to in my chart...maybe tons of Aries and Cappy.

hi trillian,

i've had the same kind of deja vu too.

my 7th grade art teacher asked me what i wanted to do when i grew up. i said i wanted to work on Wall Street. she said that wasn't a job, it was a magazine.

so i forgot about it and until i had to look for a job my senior year in college. i thought it would be an inbetween job, but it has turned into a career path. pretty nice.

I've been writing since I as 7, but as far as a real-world career thing, I'd always say "it hasn't been invented yet"... and it's true. I had to invent it.

When I first opened the college catalog, I wanted to take EVERY course. EVERYTHING has always been so interesting to me, so it's been a very long process of elimination.

Maybe it's the Libra thing, afraid of making the wrong decision. Now I'm more sure than ever.

Well astro, I feel the same way, and I am also Libra. I'm 20, and while I know where my strongest points are, I still really can't decide the best way to employ them. I'm currently a photography major, which I really love, because it allows me to express my creativity, an lets me work with my love for technical stuff too. But there's so much else that I love, as well. When I was in high school I wanted to be a fashion designer (again, creativity meets the technical), but I scrapped that because I couldn't stay in TN and work in that field. And while, like I said, I love photography, I'm not the best at it. I get a couple of good shots from a session but nothing spectacular. It seems like that's the way with me; I'm good at it, but not the best. So I guess I'm still trying to find what I'm best at.

Phantasm:

Very cool Web site thing. Guess what, I design Web sites (creative/technical) as well and do Internet consulting.

But now I'm in the healing arts and happy (for now)...

Now that I think of it, the more I tried to understand what hole my peg would fit in, the more frustrated and distracted I became.

We have family "obligations" still haunting us, and then we might fall in love and go anywhere do anything because we want it to last. Life takes unexpected tangents.

Hmmmm... you know, I guess there is no set timeline for anything. For me personally, the thing that brought me true peace of mind was to know the Source. To really find it's frequency, tap into it and going with it.

Easier said than done. But I believe with every fiber in my body, that's the key to the knowing and the doing which fulfills your reason for being.

Just my thoughts...

Good New Year Day

If I might add something, Phantasm Mysteria...
Do you think every decision a judge makes is the just one, or the true one, or the best one they've ever made?
Do you think the diver wishes there were more air in his tank to just keep him down there longer...
Do you think the Doctor is always as thorough as she would like to be, as moderate and giving to all her patients?
Who is *ON* all the time?
You have vision, if you are drawn to it... Goodness, how wonderful to take even ONE good picture on a roll of 36 exposures. To have the composure and eye to pull off even one good shot is an incredible thing, and you should believe in your talent. Like you said... It combines both the creative and technical sides of you. What more can you ask? I applaud you for working within your talents and context and still striving for more...
Do you really think Herb Ritts takes only a roll of film for his subjects and just says... oh well.... He strives, as every great person does, as every person devoted to their passion does. As you do/will do.
Keep going until you find that perfect shot. Believe in yourself. Even if it takes 200 to find one good one... there is still the power of that one.... That's what it's all about, isn't it?!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!
