The Bad News

As always, we start with a Grand Cross. Using 12:00:01 am at Greenwich will create a chart with the horizon square the meridian and the Sun conjunct the IC for every new year, so it is normally meaningless. This year, however, we have an Aries Mars opposite the Ascendant and a Cancer Saturn conjunct the Midheaven, opposite the Capricorn Sun. The year will open with unsettled conditions, and a war in process. (Yes, we know Mr. B said it was over, but clearly it is not. My grandson has been called up from his place in the National Guard to report for duty early in the New Year.)
Suppose we let that Capricorn Sun stand for the old guard....the traditional notion that war can lead to peace (Mars opposite the Libra Ascendant). Libra is the sign of society and it is being threatened by a belligerent Mars. He threatens the peace, maybe even the survival of the general population–always the other, relative to the government.
But Mars and Sun are being challenged by a Retrograde Saturn in Cancer. Let this refer to the authority/Saturn of youth/Cancer, brought with them from earlier incarnations/retrograde. Could we be looking at the Indigos? Some of them are nearing age thirty now and they have never been shy. Will they raise their voices in service of peace (Libra) this year? Will they stand up against the elders who are sending them off to war? Many of them are the offspring of the flower children, you know.

The Good News

The year begins with a retrograde Sagittarius Mercury, a sign that we are rethinking our beliefs....as nearby Sagittarius Pluto demands. Although the year starts with some control by the terror-disaster-illness-promoting media (Pluto widely conjunct retrograde Mercury), as Mercury turns direct and moves away, they will lose their hold. This is particularly strong around economic issues. In spite of continuing doom and gloom in the press, people everywhere are feeling a change, an upturn in the economy.
For some time now, the Possibility People have been learning to live outside the general consciousness. A significant part of that movement is about learning to live outside the general economy. A significant proportion of us have learned to survive in unique, almost miraculous ways, in spite of the general economic depression. Now the older Indigos, who already knew how to do this, are joining us. When more and more people are prospering, the generally depressed economy must lose its hold. Hope rises worldwide and with hope comes a better financial flow. (Remember, at such times the money is not gone, it is just being held hostage somewhere rather than being allowed to flow freely.)
The nodal axis has Taurus North in the Eighth and Scorpio South in the Second. With the signs in reversed house positions, we can assume a significant focus on the economy. Resources both private and public begin to rise–or really begin to be visible. This is money taken out of hiding and doing something good.
An Earth Grand Trine confirms it. North Node is trine Jupiter in Virgo and Chiron in Capricorn, for the facilitation of financial success. With Pluto square Jupiter, don’t expect the media to admit it! Remember the South Node is in Scorpio and the North Node is in the eighth/Scorpio house, so somebody is trying to keep this movement secret. It will have to grow a bit before it becomes news.
Looking behind the scenes a bit, we see Uranus, finally back in the sign of Pisces....and in the creative fifth house, which we take to signify the Possibility People. It is quintile the Libra Ascendant creating good for society. If Saturn refers to the Indigos, its placement in a harmonious Seventh with the North Node, adds that contribution. Significant portions of the general population are succeeding in spite of what we are being told. Another Seventh connects Pluto with Neptune-Venus, sneaking intuitive creativity in under the power of the press. As the year progresses, we will notice bits of economic good news between the lines of media reports.
Still, perhaps the greater good is served by the secrecy. It is an election year and what is happening economically is definitely outside the realm of politics. Let no candidate claim that a particular person or party is responsible for the economic recovery. This is spirit at work, folks, not politics.

The Great News

The year has a Golden Yod, with the point at Virgo Jupiter in the twelfth, and support from the Seventh house Aries Moon and the Fourth house Aquarius Venus conjunct Neptune. A twelfth house Jupiter is often interpreted as a Guardian Angel. Add to that, the naturally expansive nature of Jupiter as abundance. The abundance is in Virgo, so useful....as disposable income.
Meanwhile the conjunction of Neptune and Venus in Aquarius suggests that the energy being channeled by the Moon is inspired, intuitive, and that it takes material form/money. It will allow us to survive individually first, then as it multiplies, it will gradually emerge as a general state.
The houses involved suggest something quiet, mysterious, something that happens behind the scenes. This happens as individuals, scattered around the world, discover, one by one, that they need not be ruled by the dictates of a national or world economy. Higher powers are at work here.
Near the time when the first Indigos were arriving on Earth, a popular song told us “This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.” That dawning is beginning to streak the skies with light. The signs of the times are emerging into visibility.
That said, remember that we are dealing in vast segments of time. This dawning still has decades to unfold, but we can begin to watch the process now. Sit in silence for a few moments at the New Year won’t you? Sit and imagine fingers of light creeping up the eastern skies. They are the colors of peace and prosperity (whatever colors symbolize that to you). Watch them climb higher for a while and give thanks to whatever powers move this Universe. They have not forgotten us.

At which time do you believe the first Indigos appeared?

While some Indigos appeared earlier, I believe that the main group entered near the time of Chiron's discovery in November 1977.

I also think that the Possibility People, about whom I wrote in my two interception books were their forerunners.

Not to say that your information is wrong or anything, because I believe the "awarenesses" came more to the forefront of their consciousness later. In fact, I remember starting to notice it in the young, remember thinking how those aspects of myself I struggled to express were now within the realm of this younger new era.

I've always related better with the younger people rather than with the older generations for that reason. It's like finding those inner dimensions of myself being expressed through these new bodies, like a recognition on a huge scale, my soulmates.

Possibility People is a name I have coined for those earlier generations whose natal charts were marked by Interceptions ...especially Interceptions that contained planets. I believe that they incarnated to aid in bringing in the next age--which I believe will begin around 2080.

Indigos seem to be "bridges" between the median level of human consciousness for the late Piscean age and the median level of the early Aquarian age. Crystals are probably prototypes for the true Aquarian Age people.

This is, of course, just my theory, but it seems to make sense. Comments, anyone?
