Hi everyone! Newbie to the board here.

I'm an Aries sun, CANCER moon.(ick)
Lately (and I'm sure much has to do with the full moon a few days ago) but I haven't been able to find peace of mind or any type of balance between having the fire-water clash. Anyone else feel this way or deal with people like this? Or is it because Aries and cancer in particular clash on an individual basis?

I wasn't sure if you were a man or woman. (I wish they would allow for that and for a place for our birthdata in our PROFILES)...

But Libra, Cancer/Moon here -

Do you love history and antiques? Did you marry early? Does your anxiety ever get so bad that you have stomach troubles?

We've been discussing this Cancer Full Moon, and I must say, it was UNUSUALLY intense this time around. Everyone is in a fog. Tears seem to form very easily. More in touch with our emotions.

Can't escape it. I think it's had a very calming effect as well, and the more you try to fight it (Perhaps Aries impatience), the harder the lessons of this Full Moon will be.

What do you think?

with love & support,

I have a Fire sun and Water moon, but it's worked out fine, you just gotta relax and learn to live with it, and don't take the moody moon too seriously. When my water moon gets too mushy I tell it to shut up or "tough!" and when my Aries sun gets too insensitive my pisces says: stop!
It's a give and take.

I use to know a Leo with a Cancer moon...she CRIED all the time. She was fatally attracted to this other Leo that I knew, they went out for 1 & 1/2 years, and he broke up with her because they fought too much. Well she kept coming over to visit his MOM all the time, and his mom would put pressure on him to go back out with her. Poor guy. *sigh* He was so damn sexy. I almost went out him too, but he was too much of a play-around-sam for me.

But this girl, man...every time I saw her, she was either in the midst of crying, or her makeup looked all smudged like she had been crying and had just stopped.

I guess it's a "passion meet emotion" makeup.

actually, having fire and water is a good thing. It is good to have a balance of elements, they are not so much opposing each other and helping to keep you in balance. see the water aspects will keep the fire aspects from burning you out, or flaring out of control. to really get a good understanding though you will need to look at the whole picture, you can see some trends from jsut a few aspects but to really understand you have to take it all into account. most likely you have number of things that are contributing to this internal conflict. Not to mention the aries tendancy towards rushing into things without looking very far ahead.

Hi FireMeetsWater. Welcome to Lindaland! I am Pisces Sun, Pisces Mercury, Pisces Venus with Leo Rising and Leo Moon. Lots of fire and water in my life. I think that just makes us steamy, which can be a lot of fun.

Hey FireMeetsWater! Welcome to LindaLand! Actally, I think that Fire and Water can go together quite nicely, as long as you can keep your emotions in check. I'm a Sun Sing Libra, with Aries Rising and Moon in Pisces. While Libra's all crazy-like about balance and harmony, it does make it difficult at time with a Fire Ascendant, because Aries is all about rocking my carefully-steadied boat! But my Piscean Moon does help to calm me down quite a bit. I remember reading Linda Goodman's Sun Signs for the first time, and in the Libra chapter she mentions that a woman with a double-cardinal placement makes for an intolerable individual... and I think if it weren't for my isces: Moon, I probably would be just that!

Scorpio Sun, Leo Rising. ( Capricorn moon)
In my case, fire meets water, but water is the dominant force, therefore I am an emotional firecracker who wears her passions on her sleeve. I also have reserves of strength and too much pride.
AH! Who's perfect!
Welcome!~

Hello Firemeetswater,
For me its water meets air!! I know I can be one minute very intense and the next all scatterbrained and excited!!(gem moon)
So anyway I did find this on your fire/water mix;

Sun sign: Aries, Moon sign: Cancer
At odds with yourself you are constantly on edge, never being able to satisfy your head and your heart at the same time . You did not see your parents as being exactly in tune with each other and because of that you cannot quite get your own relationships together. Certainly you are full of initiative, get up and go and have highly romantic fantasies about what you want but your rather abrasive Aries Sun does not let you settle enough to nourish your highly sensitive Cancer Moon . You need a constant, secure happy home life and a great deal of freedom. So what you want is a family oriented lover who can wander independently as much as you. Who is not possessive though will not mind your odd flashes of jealousy. An oddly designed animal to be sure but in a way that matches your rather lop sided needs. You can be both highly sympathetic, caring and sweet natured as well as being rather unemotionally self centred about doing your thing no matter what. You will have difficulty committing absolutely to any one person and may, once settled, start to stray which will bother your conscience. Males ,you will manage better being able to go out into the world to do your macho act yet able to slither home at high speed when the mood strikes to find comfort . Females, you will find it more difficult to find your lover being ill designed for domesticity in one half of your nature yet craving it with the other. Your Aries machismo is less likely to be fuelled into fantasies about knights on white chargers, more into boardroom battles and beating the competition. You need to be less driven, more receptive, less winning oriented and more tolerant. You also need a fairly soft mate.
interesting hey!!!

I'm an Aries Sun, Pisces Moon. However, I have a Virgo ascendant, which equals things out somewhat. The effects of the Moon sign do seem to have more influence on character during childhood and teenage years. In the decade from 20 to 30 I have found my Ascendant coming to the fore a lot more - whilst still not losing the sense of romance and artistic leanings that go with an Aries Sun/Water Moon.
Fire sign women with a Water Moon are exceptionally likely to suffer with emotional/hormonal problems at certain times of the month! Recently I tried a progesterone cream - best thing I ever did. I can sympathise fully with that feeling of being out of control and fear of going mad! Lastly, work WITH your emotions instead of against them, have a good old bawl if you feel like it. It's a natural part of the passionate fire/water combination!

Sun_Scorpion, I am the opposite of the fire sun/water moon. I'm a scorpio sun & sag moon. I was just wondering what your assessment would be on my particular combo of signs?

Thanks Sun Scorpio for the aries/cancer sun moon combination- I have a book about those, and what you had was much more helpful. (I grew restless reading about all the cancer-emotional-sensitivity etc in the book!)

Hiya again, thanx, glad it was of help!!
Sweetscorp;

Sun sign: Scorpio, Moon sign: Sagittarius
A wondrous combination this, full of fiery intensity, and conflicting urges. You want passionate closeness yet you loathe being fenced in. You want to plunge to the murky depths to find your soul and yet you are equally convinced that only by sailing high on the cloud tops will you satisfy your spirit. A water fire mix you are emotional, excitable and impulsive and remarkably sensitive about how others see you. Your mood swings are frightening to behold. On good days you are refreshingly, even scorchingly, direct and encouraging. On bad days you are ready to explode with frustration. You can be warmly supportive but you need to learn moderation in all things. Lovers will need to be sensual enough to fulfil your deepest longings for transcendental sex yet with the sense to give you a long rein. You are jealous yet you hate being possessed. You are a born entertainer at heart but not easy to live with. You need a strong sense of purpose about your life.

Flamboyant, much travelled opera singer Dame Joan Sutherland and highly talented but emotionally over excitable artist Pablo Picasso are your types.
