Hey knowflakes...I need good vibes sent my way...i was in a car accident tonight (not my fault) it was pretty bad an what makes it even worse was that it was a hit and run and we were only able to get a partial tag number.

My back axle is broken, the bumper flew off but no proken glass or tail lights.

The good thoughts and white light are needed for this purpose: that the car can be FIXED as opposed to it being "totalled" by the insurance adjuster. My car is paid for and I just bought my first house, I can't afford to have a new car payment and a mortgage payment.
so cross your fingers that it can be FIXED.

Thanks!

thanks to both of you. I'm just a little stiff in my back....no point in going to the ER...i have no broken bones so I know all they would do is give me an anti inflamitory....best case scenario for me is that the Car gets FIXED...

no "totalling"
no "totalling"
No "totalling"

on another note...

i REALLY need to learn to trust myself more...today, i stopped by my parents house and i told them I was supposed to go out with friends tonight but that I also had a feeling that "something bad" was going to happen...I even said that as I left their house..."something bad is going to happen"...do you think it could be a "self fulfilling prophesy"? Generally, when I get these feelings, it involves someone else...(someone close to me though)

I was on my way to meet the friends when the accident happened.

I think these types of things keep happening to help me realize that I NEED to trust those instincts more often.

You should practice trusting that little voice, but more importantly, really getting to know it... to KNOW you CAN and SHOULD trust it...

You should try to figure out who that voice is... even give "it" a name if you think it's a guardian. They would be very hurt if you didn't take the time to listen.

It's not something that happens over night.

Why didn't you go to the emergency room? You need to get all that medical stuff on record ASAP!!

That little stiffness in the back can turn into something much worse. I know a little bit about medical stuff and YOU MUST GO ASAP!! Get X-rays. DO IT!!!

well, it all depends on how badly the car is damaged but usually the insurance agency will do anything to avoid "totalling", much better for them to pay for the fixage which is way cheaper. I assume your car is not that badly damaged since the other car ran away (if the hit was real bad both cars whouldnt be able to run).
I had a car accident last year (had Uranus/Mars transit) and the frontal side of my car was totaly smashed, yet the insurance agency made it clear they would try to fix it. That was a big NO NO for me. It was a new Mercedes and I didnt want to have it picked up from bits so I was the one to insist totalling. They paid it out and I bought a new car with the money.
So what I am saying is that the Insurance agency will insist for repair before anything else.

my back axle is broken and the bumper flew off but there was no broken glass or tail lights.

I took it to a Volvo repair place so they will use nothing but Volvo parts.

I am convinced now...I will ALWAYS buy a volvo....one of the safest cars out there.

I am not as stiff today as I thought I would be, aleve is working fine on the discomfort. I don't want to go through the hastle of the ER, insurance, possible physical therapy and all that stuff, my brother is fighting his insurance company fo rinjuries sustained in an accident that wasn't his fault...the at fault party had inadaquate insurance. I do not want to go through that.

OK... gotcha ...

You should ice it a little bit for the first 72 hours. Then use heat. Also do some very light stretches at the same time. Don't lay down too too much.

I know what you mean about the hassle and time, especially if you're really busy. I got food poisening once, I thought I was going to die... and I was just too busy and already stressed to deal with one more fight.

If you got a description of the car, with even a partial tag, they should be able to find it and find proof it hit you. Are the police on it?

(this time HEALING light for you)

yes, the police ARE on it but I don't know how long it's going to take them to find it, if they find it at all...even still, they said it's a high probability that it was a stolen car so I don't know how the law works under those circumstances...would the car owners insurance still be liable for my damages?

This is what I don't know.
