I recently heard that at the age of 27-28 we change from being influenced by our asc to more sun. Hmmm…Difficult to explain. You get me? I’m a Cap asc and have managed to run my own business for 7 years. But the last year has been difficult and it kind of collapsed. So I wonder if it is the spacey and airy Aqua that’s getting stronger after I turned 27. If this change is true…some of us may change a lot in our lives at this point.

I recently told my mom that I’m quitting business to go to Nepal and study Buddhist philosophy ??? does Aquas have problems making up their mind? Suddenly I cant make a choices I am completely sure of…I feel like sleeping and doing nothing compared to my full on speed motivation the last 6-7 years. Did I loose my Cap influence?…If I did I really miss it.

Anyone know how I can get back on track?

I believe that as we mature, get more comfortable with who we are, and focus more on our soul Quest, we go from needing our Ascendant mask in dealing with the world to becoming more like our sun sign.

I'm a Cappy Ascendant too, and I have deffently become more like my Virgo sun in the last several years.

I don't think that you are ever one or the other, its just that you exhubit more of the characteristics of one than the other.

Early on in my life I was driven too, but now I am more interested in serving others than serving myself.

Nagali -

I find that someone with a Cap Sun or Asc, who wants to "drop out" and seek spiritual awakenings is VERY brave, and I admire that very much.

Some of us have charts which make us go from one extreme or another, and maybe you've not yet gone to the other extreme yet, and so you just need to experience it and once you've fulfilled this quest, you will have a more realistic understanding of your needs (Aqua), versus the part you will play in society (Capricorn).

I say go for it. If anyone is freaking out, tell them to be patient.

Don't feel guilty. I kind of know what you're going through. I have two pairs of extremes in my chart. One pair is the "all work no play" then "all play no work". The other is "all feeling and warmth" then "no feeling no warmth - all logic".

Each of us has a unique journey. There is no one way to reach ZEN.

Also, if you are around 27-28, you are likely experiencing your first Saturn Return, which is another whole ball o' wax! It's a time when we often learn the greatest of life lessons.

Best Wishes to you....

Nagali,

Just another thought... maybe your progressed ascendant is becoming more aquarian like... universal, humanitarian-like and free-spirited!

Sounds like a beautiful evolution to me!

I knew it up side down: that the Asc becomes more active starting at 24-25 years old. And it made sense in psychological terms too: the Asc is our personality and personality is formed over the years, including family, school and eventually the job/status. around 25 the identity is formed (that's pure psychology) and it includes all sorts of say situational identities (I am at the same time, someone's daughter, a sister, a girfriend/wife, a mum, a driver, a home owner, a lawyer, etc.) And I do all these things by remaining basically myself. The Asc is this identity: who I am taking everything into account.

The Sun is more difficult to explain (prob due to newspaper astrology . I think of it as an inner structure, like as skeleton of the identity. Like an inner order that puts things into a specific structure. Like a combinatory rule.

Other see it as the energy that makes the body alive. the life energy or vital energy.

Does it really matter? You aren't one OR the other, you are BOTH your Sun AND your ASC at the same time, and they are both as real and genuine as anything else.

The changes you talk about must be explainde some other way. Look at your natal chart and current transits! Mostly Neptune, Pluto, Uranus and surely Saturn and Jupiter. This sort of changes are brought by Uranus and Pluto, and the making up part/confusion seems like Neptune!

that could explain things, but it's still your life that you must come back to.
