Hey girl...

Just concerned cuz Borax tastes like total s**t you know...

Hey! I went to the bookstore last night and found a couple of things by Arroyo, found a couple other things I definately want to get, and bought a little book called "Astrology Through A Psychic's Eyes" by Sylvia Browne.

Ya wanna take a trip out here and romp around with me at Disney and Universal Studio's? How about swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove? Or Sea World?

The great escapes...

Thanks for the invite, Gloria you are so polite as a Libra ought to be, always there for others with the social graces. Right now I think I just need a hot tub, and massage. For some reason I love the heat but outside but inside my bones especially in a hot tub and it's a perfect day for it.

I love Dolphins if I am down that way, and I have friends there I will let you know.
(I am working on someone to go with me to the Bahamas-if I am going through Florida I will stop off and see you)

Sorry to butt in, Gloria, but I don't care much for that book. There are several inconsistencies/inaccuracies and it is downright cruel about Taureans. I am pasting my review of it from Amazon.com below if you are interested in reading it.

I am a fan of Sylvia's but...., August 22, 2003
Reviewer: A reader from The Crossroads of America
I found that this book was quite inaccurate, as well as conflicting, in its assessments of the sun signs. For example, I am a Libra so of course I read my sign first. At the end of the chapter it gave a short rundown of physical characteristics for Libra. One of them was that "true" Libras have light eyes. However, in the beginning of her book, she listed *twice* that Libras are known for their dark eyes. This really grated on my nerves. Also, I found that her information conflicted with not only what I have read previously, but also with what I have observed myself to be true about the particular signs. To make matters worse, reading the book gave me a headache.....not a good sign.

In summary, I would not recommend reading this book because I feel it is inaccurate and will confuse the beginning astrologer. I would heartily recommend Linda Goodman's Sun Signs instead for her humor, sensitivity, and insight.

Sincerely,
divinia

Divinia, I said kinda the same thing on another thread.. how funny is that?! But truly, even like a bad movie review, I always give the benefit of the doubt and want to read/see it myself with no preconceptions..
My husband hated two movies I truly loved...
"the Royal Tennenbaums" and "Short Cuts" Darkly weaving humour and angst. I love that shite. i 'get' it....

I know what you mean, pixelpixie. Everyone has to form his/her opinion independently. The book sort of broke my heart, though, with its attitude toward Taureans and I'm still showing the scars.

Hey Natasia -
You've got the right idea! The heat and water is very cleansing... very good!

As for Discovery Cove, there are days of the year when it is less expensive, during the off season. If you are looking for that, the best day is the LAST day of the off-season, in April. That place is like paradise on earth. I even got video of myself.

Hope to see you! Give me the heads up...

Divinia & Pixel -
I read a few outtakes here and there in the bookstore, but have not read it in detail yet. I respect both your opinions greatly, and I will put my two cents here soon. If it does truly suck, I'll return it.

It's cool Divinia, that you posted in Amazon. I read those all the time about books and music. I posted a few reviews there, one was about Traci Lords CD.

You are right about Sylvia's other books Pixel, I get the same "it speaks to me" feelings too. Have you been to her Web site? It has TONS of material to read. Very informative and comforting.

She was on the radio for a few hours, and I can even give you a digital link of that if you are interested. I wish she was my mom. Something about her makes me want to crawl up on her lap and take a nap. Don't know why, but feel that way about Susan Ethridge too. And they both have that raspy voice thing too. Hmmmm...

Yeah.. I feel that is the role she plays.. so many go to her tender yet factual tell it like it is arms to be comforted and consoled. I am on her newsletter mailing list.. but I will have to check out her site more.

I did just read the chapter on Taurus again, and while some of it resonated.. the graceful hands, the love of home, I found the dominating vibe she gave was a possessive stalking, dumb, unaffected and uninspired slave to service.
One of my best friends is a Taurus.. my zodiac opposite.. She is not dumb, although sometimes she comes out with some really ignorant statements... but purely ignorant in the sense that she just doesn't know, but once she knows, she knows... almost an eternal innocence from her. She was MADE for motherhood, her life took on a changed role from the minute she got pregnant wiith her first child.. she is now pregnant with her second. She has a natural sensuality and a lithe figure. She always has.. she has a sturdy look about her but is quite clumsy. It is endearing. She has a laugh that throws her head back and makes \everyone pay attention. She is very materially driven and organized.. Her home is aesthetically pleasing and she dreses traditionally and richly.. fabrics chosen for their texture and the way they drape. She doles out advice regally, and is accepting of others ways.. She is judgemental in a way that is forgiving.. she will say..."Do you know what I mean? It is just something I wouldn't do.. but I mean, that's the way she/he is.. so what can I do?"
I have lots of respect for her and the way she embraces life and family. She is the iva of her home, and although she is married to another fixed sign- LEO!!! She is the boss, in her home. He has his den. They are expecting their second Taurus.. I am hoping this baby comes two weeks early, so they can have an Aries to add some go getter to their fixidness.. and so Mr. Leo will have a fire friend to understand him....
