1) Book "Choke" by Chuck Palahniuk. It's an insanely funny and twisted book. Written by the same guy who wrote "Fight Club."
(Uranus in 8th would be my best guess.)

2) Music Album My tastes change so often, I really never have a favorite album. If you went by what I listened to the most ever, then it would probably be Orgy's first album, "Candyass"

3) Movie Same as above. I just love movies.

4) Wine I don't drink a lot of wine.

5) Adult Beverage Hot Sex
(Pluto in Libra)

6) Web Site www.homestarrunner.com
(probably Aries Rising)

7) Candle Scent Yankee Candle's Midsummer Night
(Aries Rising and Pluto in 7th/Conjunct Sun)

8) Flower Orchids
(Moon in Pisces)

I'm so glad to hear it.

1) Book
My favorite book is 'his dark materials' trilogy. It's that very trilogy that made me really love READING. I devoured those books. Then I would say LOTR

2) Music Album
I could never pick just one. I have a massive cd collection and go through phases of listening to this or that... I take it all very seriously, there's a whole ritual for me when it comes to buying or looking for a new cd.

3) Movie
Wow, there are so many. I always enjoy psy-thrillers, or just plain thrillers. Then, there's anything to do with Vietnam like the Deer Hunter or Apocalypse now. Anything weird or zany. I loved Girl Interrupted, I really want to see One flew over the Cuckoo's nest. I like movies like pulp fiction. h and then theres LOTR

4) Wine
-I'm 15

5) Adult Beverage
- Ive only tried Guinness, Calvados & Wine

6) Web Site
There are a few, I check a final fantasy site every few days for news. Otherwise I love checking stuff out on astro.com. I'm a member on a few forums, 5 actually so I go to those aswell (including this place )

7) Candle Scent
Vanilla I suppose ?

8) Flower
White lily & water lily

Yes, I've read that book. And liked it too. Are you fan of Russian literature or do these books go with your sense of humour?

Other fav books... where do I begin? LOL

Well, Aen, I come from Eastern Europe and I have been exposed to Russian literature through all my life. Yes, I also like it a lot and relate to its characters in general.
If you like Bulgakov - try "The Heart Of A Dog". Have you read Dostoevski , Turgenev, Tolstoi, Pushkin, Lermontov, Chechov?
One of my fav books is "A Hero of Our Time" by Mikhail Lermontov. His poetry is also more appealing to me than the Pushkin's.
I can get carried away with this. I'm a freak

Oh, not sure about the astrological influences of those - The Cure/Mixed Up would probably have to be due to my Cancer rising, but the rest, I just dunno...

Isis,

I am not sure either as I too LOVE the Cure. I have all their CD's and fell for them in the 80's. Something about their music and Robert Smiths voice that just kind of gets me..in a good way.

Hi Gloomy Sag

I guessed some Eastern Europe influence somewhere, when you mentioned "The 12 Chairs" . It seems to be a book that doesn't *translate* (at least not easily) if you don't have some background knowledge.

Of those you mentioned I like a lot Pushkin, Lermontov and Turgenev.

I just couldn't force myself through anything by Dostoevski. That particular brand of realism just makes me sick and Estonia has too high suicide rate without my help.

Of those authors you didn't mention Gogol, Bunin, Grin.

Well, this really looks like Venus conj. Neptune in Sag & 3rd hs. list. Reality can take care of itself, for a book I want more.

Anyway, tonight I will be reading Wilder's "The Ides of March." It is also one of those novels I find myself reading time and again.

Hmmm, where are you from?
If you want to talk books, do you want to do it by e-mail? Let me know and I will post one of mine.

No, not that good with astrology. I had just realized that my list (which looks pretty silmilar to yours) reflects quite well my Venus Neptune conj. in Sag.

Yes, I'd like to talk of books. You can mail me thekla91@hotmail.com

1. Pastures of the Blue Crane by H. F. Brinsmead. An Australian children's classic that I return to again and again. I can't stick adult novels, somehow!! (Aries Sun = no more than 300 pages). Generally I use books for reference; I virtually never read a book from cover to cover.
2. Hips and Makers by Kristin Hersh - LOVE that track about Houdini (fellow Arian):"Oh no, don't you put me in that box/ You know what you can do with those locks/Bet your life I'll come crawling out again/You'll have to deal with me then...I've scaled the mountains skiied the valleys/I've done the highs and the lows/I don't feel like work today/Hell I won't go...Just let me at their locks/We should all be free/Oh Bess I swear I'll call/When I'm free from me..." Pure, wild, romantic magic... (Moon/Venus in Pisces?)
3. Anything that makes me laugh. (Mars in Gemini?) Found "Lost in Translation" quite funny when went to see recently.
4. Don't drink (Temperance = Virgo Ascendant)
5. Ditto.
6. (Big grin) Actually, this is connected with work and someone I Rather Like...let's go for a safe one...how about Astrodienst(okay, very boring, but one has to keep up appearances...)
7. Don't do candles, do incense instead, which smells like the Fifth of November. (gunpowder = Aries Sun)
8. Tiger or Turk's cap lily would be too obvious! I do absolutely rave about them, though, and anything else that's orange, red, vibrant pink, subtropical or tropical (Aries Sun). Hedychium, vanilla orchid, cacti, bird-of-paradise...mmm,mmm...All beautiful!
