*the secret language of birthdays* is quite handy to have around. it breaks down descriptions into each day so you can get some depth on a person only knowing their birthday. couple that with *sun signs* and a beginner could do pretty well without going into the complexities of astrology.*heaven knows what* is good for getting a general natal chart just by looking up a birthdate! this book also has descriptions on sun/moon combinations and descriptions on the aspects. although it doesnt get into ascendents and precise degrees, its a must-have for beginners and experts. *astrology for millions* includes tables on planetary positions and brief descriptions of each. also a good read on the validity of astrology (used it as a major resource for a research paper). *relationship signs* is a very quick guide to figure out ascendents (for those who dont know already). i think for getting into more detailed and in-depth education, the *planets in [insert astrological term or tampon?]* are must-haves. very in need of planets in composite and planets in aspect - alas banned myself from the local barnes and noble (avoiding a gemini). eventually i want to have all printed astrology books (the good ones that is) at beck and call. perhaps theyre all essential?
in dire need of a quick guide to houses.. any suggestions? IP: Logged |
