I'd appreciate some feedback on this.

Chiron’s Meaning in Relationship Synasty Charts

Chiron is thought by many astrologers to represent the infliction, revisiting, and healing of wounds that the individual experienced as a child and is still carrying around as adults. In life the family unit, culture, and environment are three important conditioning agents from which the child learns acceptable behavior and feelings. All of us formally and informally develop the approach that is most effective in life through our interaction with these agents.

Sometimes as a child, we face various negative life experiences that we are unable to cope with, given our immaturity and experience in life. One common coping method in children is repression or burying painful experiences deep within their psyche in order not to have to deal with the emotional pain that the experience generates.

For example, a child born into a family that is cold and distant and unable to display affection openly for each other will have difficulty feeling loved, particularly by his or her parents. This often results in a feeling of being unlovable or not worthy of love, and such feelings in a child are quite painful. By suppressing their feelings, and burying them deep within their psyche, they are able to handle their life to some degree.

I believe that such pain is rooted in Chiron’s natal location and aspects. As the child grows into adulthood, they learn other more positive coping methods. The problem is that the experience is still buried in their psyche and more importantly it is still affecting their life relationships. As Chiron continues to transit through the child’s natal chart, it aspects itself and other house locations that in effect tear the scab off of the original wound, and allow the child, now an adult, the opportunity to handle it differently.

Recently I have been interested in how this works in a relationship Synasty chart, and have arrived at the following approach:

Where partner one’s Chiron falls in partner two’s House indicates the area in life where partner two has some suppressed pain and which their interaction will trigger that pain in their relationship.

Any aspects of partner one’s Chiron to partner two’s natal planets indicate how that interaction will come about. For example, Squares and Oppositions indicate that partner one’s action within the relationship will retrigger the pain, usually in a negative manner. This is a problem because partner 2 will be responding to the pain of the original experience, not partner 1, and it will be difficult to separate the two. With counseling from an objective third party, both partner 1 and 2 can come to an understanding of the source of the pain and work to heal the wounds.

Sextile, Trines, and Conjunctions indicate that partner 1 will be supportive of partner 2 in the house areas where they are experiencing pain and help them to take the scab off and re-heal the wound in a positive way. This usually doesn’t require a third party’s help.

Okay, so my Chiron is in hubbys 11th house, squaring his sun. Trines his Mercury and sextiles his AC and MC.

So he has experienced some sort of hurt through friends as a child, and will relieve this hurt through me, feeling me as a threat to his ego (sun)?

His Chiron is in my 5th house, conjunction with my mars, trine mercury and neptune, opposition to pluto. So this means I somehow experienced pain in...what? as a child? The trine with mercury should mean that he helps me through talking about it? How does an opp. to Pluto affect this all?

If I interpreted this right (not likely), I don't see many paralells to our lives. Chiron is a very interesting planet though, and I'm always interested in learning more about it.

How about posting your birthdata so I can take a look at your charts? Are you using equal houses, and +/- 1 degree for arcs?

Nackie,
In psychologcal astro the 11th is the house of "lovability" and represents the love we want to receive (as opposed to the love we give - the 5th).
Have you had a very serious hearbreak at any time before your marriage?

What would a Chiron falling in a partner's 12th mean?

Assuming hiis chiron in your 11th house - The crisis of 11th house has to do with his belief that he had a unique role to play out in his life. Perhaps as a child he was told over and over how very special and unique he was, and was kept somewhat isolated from others of his age. Because of his isolation, he felt great pain causing him to become somewhat individualistic or eccentric as a child, and he never learned how to develop friends. You can help him open up to others and accept who he is as a unique person.

Nackie, your Chiron is in your husbands 11th and does square his Sun, but the other arcs are to big in a synasty chart. By the way his Chiron is in your 5th Oppose your Pluto.

Your Chiron in the 11th house - The crisis of 11th house has to do with your belief that you had a unique role to play out in your life. Perhaps as a child you were told over and over how very special and unique you were, and were kept somewhat isolated from others of your age. Because of your isolation, you felt great pain causing you to become somewhat individualistic or eccentric as a child, and you never learned how to develop friends. He can help you open yourself to others and accept who you are.

Your Chiron square his Sun - His Sun represents his willpower; Chiron represents those things in your early life that have caused you pain. The Square between the two indicates that the way he expresses his willpower, will trigger aspects of your suppressed pain, causing you to have to re-feel the anguish once again that you have tried so hard to keep buried, most of your life. Because he is totally unaware of your suppressed pain, he won’t understand why you are reacting the way that you are; you may not know yourself.

His Chiron in your 5th house - As a child you suffered psychological pain due to the inability to differentiate and understand the difference between love and sex with those you had relationships with. This may be because of what you witnessed as a child in your family, culture, or environment. You equate the sex act with being loved, and therefore have felt unloved when you failed to be treated sexually. He can help you understand that love makes sex more wonderful and meaningful, and that the lack of sex in no way indicates the lack of being loved.

His Chiron Oppose your Pluto - As a child you experienced the use of abusive power from your family, culture or environment. You felt helpless to stop your mistreatment, and so suppressed the pain you felt, particularly if such treatment was inflicted by one or both of your parents. It may be that his treatment of you retriggers your pain, although he doesn’t mean for you to be hurt. He can help you understand that as a child the only choice open to you was to become submissive, but as an adult, you no longer have to accept such treatment from him or your family, and that until you declare yourself free from such abuse, you will continue to feel the pain over and over.

Does any of this make sense to you?

What if he has Chiron in my first house? Or Chiron in my third house? I have Chiron in my ex's 11th house too, and I did help him open up to new people quite a bit.
His Chiron was in my third house and he was like a brother to me and still is at times.

I've known my Chiron is in Pisces in the 10th, but looking at it anew::

It's opposing my Venus, Uranus & Pluto

Trine my Mercury, Mars & neptune

And a 150 degrees to my Sun & Moon

I was reading that some of this means I will always feel no matter what type of work I do, that I am doing much more for others than myself. WOW! This really hits home because I go through phases of working my azz off for long stints, always with the intention of building a "community" of friends at the same time, and then being so exhausted I'm no use to anyone, nor myself.

I'm noticing the more I learn, the more I realize that whatever strengths left in my chart have to do with clandestine-type research and communication. I'm a writer, so it's the only thing that fits. However, my Chiron also tells of fear of success, to the point where I don't want to do anything.

This is true, but also drowns out my Singleton in Fire sign Leo in 4th. That is to say, fine... so I can continue to write and not seek fame, which is what I want. However, I am finding that I do need a certain amount of acknowledgement. And like I've been saying, I can barely put out the vibes of being "people who needs people" in my personal life.

I need that f'ing pat on the back to keep me going!! I get discouraged very easily.

Like I've described myself in the past as feeling like I'm a dark star. I'm shining yet no one can see me shining...

It's enough to make a dog crawl into a hole and forget about the whole thing.

* someone - please snap me out of it *

My husband's Chiron is in my 7th sextile my sun, trine my Saturn, opp my Uranus.
Mine is in my husband's 6th House, but I don't know if it forms close enough orbs to anything to qualify as an aspect.
Loosely (very), it's sextile his Mars, conj. his Moon, maybe trine his Venus, and opp his Saturn.

*shrugs*

My recent ex-Sag has Chiron in his 9th hs (in my 5th). And mine is in my 5th hs :Aries: and directly on top of his MC.

I have no idea what any of this means as I am just beginning to research, dissect, and analyze the asteroids.

Anyone?
