Hi ya all!!! I wanted to start a new thread on career and how it is influenced by Midheaven in one's natal chart. Well, my chart if are willing to bother with it I have difficulties focusing on one particular subject and for that matter very indecisive about my future and career path. Could somebody shed some light on the topic? My chart is available in my profile. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Hi Gloomy Sag -What types of jobs have you done and what has happened? What types of expectations do others in your life have of you? Do you want to be wealthy? Are you materialistic? Perhaps you are not placing yourself in the right job. The only other thing I see is that you expect a lot of yourself. Maybe someone else can offer more. .gloria IP: Logged |

Wow, thank you, Gloria. I actually really expect a lot more of myself. See, the thing is that I don't know what I want to do. I always thought that I should work with books and among people that like to read. Well I work at a library but I'm not satisfied with it. I just feel like I can do more, make more money even. I'm back in school now. I just feel like I have to be more and do more for the society in general. But how does this go along with a passion for books? It's kind of confusing As for wealthy - let's say that I want to be independently "well off"IP: Logged |

Well... there's a ton of stuff to do if money is not at the top of your list, if helping society is what you think you'll like. That's why I asked those questions. Perhaps something which involves travel, because of your Sag influences, I see you traveling, even if short distances. For example, getting books to children who cannot afford them. Starting a fun public reading program. Publishing, or even writing. Being a literary agent. I'm a writer myself with that typical Libra Sun LOVE of books. I can never have enough. I would love to explore more with you on this... .gloria IP: Logged |

Hey Gloria, you hit it right on the nose. I've always wanted to be a publisher. You know - make available things that I know to other people without necessarily have to MAKE them listen to me. (I don't want to be a teacher - not a conventional one anyway) I just want to be able to help people see different dimentions to the same problem, expand their horizons for good. But I also want to be well off and books don't sell too well (not the worth-reading ones) IP: Logged |

After looking at your chart a few things come to mind:First your sun, Neptune, and Vemus all in your 10th house would seem to indicate that you can find your profession in some artistic field where you can use the grace and style of your Venus coupled with the willpower and intuitive insights of your Sun and Neptune to tap into the needs and desires of others and fullfill them through your profession. Now artistic doesn't necesarrily mean music or art, it could mean professions such as astrologer or counselor where you use your insights to help others. Mercury in your 11th house indicates that you might consider doing something that involves communicating information to help others. Whatever you do, it won't be the usual humdrum job that others have but one that is unique. Fields that have to do with meditation, yoga, or other techniques for becoming centered would be a good placement for you. Don't know if this helped, but I hope so. Lanny IP: Logged |
