My bets would be on:
Virgo: Extremely clever, excellent at weighing up situations. Just brilliant all round at being emperors or other heads of state, or business tycoons.
Scorpio: Rough diamonds; brilliant with people, fair, and will bend over backwards to help anyone with proven talent and motivation.
Leo: Everyone loves them, they have great personal magnetism, approachability, and a sunny disposition.

Any advances on the above?

Personally, I love your observations~
I have a Scorpio Sun, Leo Ascendant and (Capricorn... but still a cardinal, motivated Earth) Moon.
I DO make a good leader.. hee hee.

I agree with your list though, joking aside...

I also think Aries, but with a stabilizing moon or asc., just to follow through further and see those glorius ideas to their comletion.
Libra~ A lot of Libras open their own Businesses, in my experience.... That's leadership to the extreme.. Maybe Cardinality has something to do with it... ?

I agree with your list for the most part, Ariestiger, except for the part about Virgos being excellent empires or heads of state because they often miss the forest for the trees. In that I mean they become so entrenched in the nuts-n-bolts of an operation that they lose the big picture, and therefore forget the goal sometimes. A leader has to always bear in mind the ulitmate goal or objective, and make decisions that are in accordance to it. A Virgo tends to make decisions based on what solves the immediate problem, causing them to lean toward "throwing the baby out with the bath water"...Know what I'm saying? Obviuosly a Virgo with Saggie or strong fixed planets (leo, taurus, scorpio, aqua) wouldn't be this way as much...

But what about Aries? They are brilliant leaders, full of enthusiasm, alert, quick thinkers, and not too concerned with being popular. They are ideal in situations where people have to be firmly handled, like prisons or the military.

What about Capricorn? Their executive abilites are unsurpassed by any of the other signs. They are born decision makers and wise councilors.

Myself, I'm always a little cautious of Aries in leadership positions! It can work really well IF they find the right outlet, one that doesn't have too many rules that need enforcing and one that enables them to improvise. They can, however, focus too much on their own efforts and interests and not those of the team (and, yes, I AM guilty of this myself -I'm fine when I take responsibility for my own actions, but when I have to take charge of a large group of people, I'm not always sure that my judgement's what's right for them, if you know what I mean...)
Lastly, I would NEVER work for my dad (another Aries)!

We Virgos make better 2nd bananas, the leaders. We take care of all the little details, while they lead.

I think Capricorns make good leaders, as long as their goals and your goals don't conflict.

Oh, I forgot. Geminis can be good bosses as well. Two of the kindest bosses I have had have been Geminis - generally very lenient, but somehow you didn't cross them; they could put the boot in where necessary, had a "presence" and a knack for ALWAYS SAYING THE RIGHT THING, even if it meant they had to be all things to all people (cue Charles II, Queen Victoria)!!! Mercury can obviously lend itself well to leadership...

Not to shoot down what you said but:::

Aristotle Onassis is a not a Virgo. He was born January 15, 1906. He's a Cap with Virgo Moon. Also Merc & Venus in Cap.

The royalty people are all Virgo's, but they were basically "born into it".

Not to say there's no such thing as good leaders in fixed or mutable signs. But sometimes what we think of as a "leader", is really more of a "figure head".

To me, a true leader is someone who gives people the opportunity to be their best, gives unselfishly, and then moves out of their way. There is an inherent humbleness in a good leader, I would say...

Seriously, Gloria, is Aristotle Onassis a Capricorn? I always thought he was a Virgo... Ah well - thanks for the correction!
- Good point about the "humbleness" - I do practise that a bit myself, in teaching, which I find really fulfilling...

Yeah, I did a search on Google, and everything's coming up with the same b-day for Onassis.

George Washington was Pisces w/ Cap Moon.

Personally, I've loved all our Aquarian President's the best. Although they are a fixed sign, they seem to have high ideals for personal freedom. They are natural politicians, and that's the best kind of politician there is!
