Should I be scared of this man?

First of all, I'm not that attracted to him. Second, he's got his eight house of sex/secrets in Scorpio. And what planet is sitting there but uranus, planet of the unexpected/eccentric. Thankfully it doesn't have anything negative connecting to it, just a trine and a sextile (which are both positive.)

He has mentioned before his desire for me to get a piercing in a "personal" area, so that he could lead me around by it and make me "be a good little girl." But then he quickly added that he was "only joking." Somehow- after looking at his chart- I am unconvinced that this was a joke.

I should add that his sun and venus are both in Aries, so he is aggressive in personality and in love.

...If you feel scared, not because of his chart, but because of the way he treats you or the way he acts, then yes, you SHOULD be scared. If you're scared, you SHOULD be, is what I'm trying to say. Sometimes being scared is not an irrational thing, but rather a psychic red flag.

Only go as far as you feel comfortable going. If it's all good, then...DAMN, GIRL! I'm jealous!!

What's your sun/mars/rising/8th house bio?

Ditto lioneye. Trust yourself.

I've always maintained that people will tell you all about themselves if you only listen.
Men who say they are only joking about sexual preferences are probably only testing the water, to see your reaction.

Good luck.

Maybe just for curiosity, you can pick up a copy of "the Story of O". See how it makes you feel... then provided the reception is good, casually leave it around... and see if he brings up the intimate piercings again?

Yes I doubt he was joking, but I do have Venus in Aries and often wish my Piscean lovers would shut up and do as told for once! Just Kidding! I mean I know what I'm doing, of course that's not the way to get someone to trust you. Do you have a Piscean flavor to your chart? Maybe you are a little paranoid around this man anyway?

So I think he is trying to assert control, and is insecure. That's normal for Aries, if you are willing to give him control your way he will be happy but you will have to set the boundaries.

For example, you could let him drive all the time, and tell him, he's the one in control of driving for now on, and the sexual joking could stop. Maybe you could lead him around by giving him what he needs, a little control over his life, but only a little.

Venus in Aries does like boundaries, that's why they like Venus in Virgo so much.

I test and test all the time, but it doesn't mean anything, if you get a copy of O, do leave it for him to read, and see how he reacts. I bet he will love it or hate it, Aries is extreme. But he may be a secret prude, you don't know yet.

Only time will tell, so maybe be his friend a while longer????

Yes, Virgo likes to act calm and cool, next to Venus in Aries which is fiesty and risk taking.

Actually both are just as insecure about the future but Virgo likes to hold the Aries hand and say everything's okay. The Aries makes it okay.

> What's your sun/mars/rising/8th house bio?

Sun in aquarious, moon in scorpio, cancer rising, saturn in my 1st house of self at the 29th degree. There is nothing in my 8th house- but it is in Aquarious.

The story of O? Isn't it French? He speaks French. And Italian. (And English, of course.) Do you think he may have already read it?

He never talks down to me, or makes me feel less than. He just enjoys being in charge when I let him. I'm not getting the "danger danger red alert" vibe from him; I'm just wondering what all could be rolling around in this mans head.

Because from the hints that he drops and the look of his eighth house....well it could be *anything*

I'm reeeeeallly curious.

And direct questions are getting me no where with this man.

"The Story of O" is a fictional(?) erotic novel based upon 'alternative sexuality', as in slavery= submission/domination, and the world/culture it revolves around.. told from the mouth of a woman named "O".
I read it in english, so I don't know, but it could possibly have been translated from french, who knows. Good read. OOOhhh, while you're at it, check out Anais Nin.

My Sun/Mars in Scorpio, Moon capricorn, Leo Ascendant, 8th house empty, in Pisces.

Among other things uranus is exalted in the 8th house. A lot of astrologers have this placement.
It can be a legend in the bedroom. Warren Beatty has an 8th house uranus.

... yeah ... Anias Nin ... I've been reading her for umpteen years ... WAY before "Henry & June" came out ...

She, Hermann Hesse and Eric VanLustbader are have been my main inspirations for writing, in terms of STUDYING their work, breaking it down...

Nope - my Singleton Uranus in Leo is in the 4th. Why do you ask?

Maybe this means something -
I have Mars in Scorpio Sextile Uranus.

8th house + Uranus = a legend in the bedroom?

Now that *does* sound promising.

And with the Scorpio I assume it's all about power with him.

He did confess this one story: Walking with his ex g/f on the way home from a bar, he pinned her up against the fence of a Catholic school, bent her over, pulled her trowsers down and had his way with her. He apologized the next day and said he was drunk. Though he admits he couldn't have been all that drunk or he wouldn't have been able to perform.

Sounds like you are the repository for his fantasies about power, if you want to know him..

ASK him, about this point blank. He probably wants a reponse from you. Plus you don't know if any of this true.

He may just like to talk, what is his full birth data? We can't really tell anything without that.

And with your Moon in Scorpio you would like power too, does he feel insecure around you? Moon in Scorpio takes control of the sex in the relationship, so you do have the power.

As I said before, direct questions get me nowhere with this man. He's too afraid of saying the wrong thing.

> what is his full birth data? We can't really tell anything without that.

His birthdate is March 31st 1978 6:04AM Peterbourough England

Here's a thumbnail sketch of him:

pisces rising
1st house aries- sun, mercury, venus
4th house gemini- jupiter
5th house cancer- mars
6th house leo- saturn
7th house libra - pluto, north node
8th house scorpio- uranus
9th house saggitarious- neptune
10th house capricorn- moon

His his mars squares mercury and venus, and his sun squares his moon. Other than that it's all positive; he's got three sextiles and seven trines.

Just trying to make sure I'm reading this right. His 1st House is ruled by Aries AND he's Pisces Rising?

Well, mars square venus would give a greater need for the physical release that could come with sex, and difficulty expressing himself other ways physically. I take it he's not an athlete?

Pluto in the 7th, he is set up for power trips in relationships well, so he would know how to handle it, once he evolves he would make a good therapist.

As for Aries/1st, that would give a need to dominate othes at least when talking. The first house rules talking and speaking up in general. Plus a 10th house moon knows what it likes and leaves the rest.

Ask the 10th house moons here about how much they like to be the one on the bottom-not many will say they want to be the bunny rabbit.

10th house moons are assertive and take charge, they are smart mouthed too, and like to be leaned on. Maybe he is getting used to the fact others rely on him and wants to show his independence?

10th house and 8th house moons have very little independence in life, in the early part, later on they learn to deal with their power struggles and the fact that others always need them for something. Instead of grabbing hold, they learn to let go of their own ego trips and help others.

But it takes a lot of time, and not all of these placements are positive, such as Hitler's 10th house Capricorn moon, and mercury and venus in Aries. There was a power trip, and it's debatable on whether or not he had a Libra or Scorpio rising but I am leaning on Scorpio. It's what you do with it, not just what you have.

I have an 8th house moon but I do not like affairs, unlike Bill Clinton so I have learned not to listen to what others say about 8th house moons either. I do however have trouble being an equal in a relationship, I do prefer to be "top dog", and that's why I know so many Scorpios.

10th house moons and the 10th house in general can relate to physical power over another, I can't tell you how many men and women I know who love dominating in the bedroom who have that placement including my own mother! She has told me again and again, it's either all or nothing, she likes to be the top dog, or nothing at all.

So that's why she never remarried.
I wouldn't want to be a lover of a 10th house or 8th house moon but I would like to be their friend, since they are loyal and tough.

It sounds like you would prefer to be a friend and why does that make you nervous? Can't you assert yourself around him? If that's the case maybe he attracts you, warts and all, or if not then what is it that bothers you specifically about the way he treats you?

Try to accept what you can't change about him and keep that as a friend, you don't need him to run his mouth about every encounter in his life, just speak up and say enough already. Boundaries with water moons can be tough. But set them and you won't be sorry, or feel guilty.

Take Care,
Natasha
Taurus
Venus Aries
BTW I hate to be dominated!

Just curious, You're so honest and open minded. (a quality I admire) I thought by the examples maybe they also had an 8th house uranus.

Layla,
His uranus is in Scorpio and in the 8th house? That is a double dignity and strong placement. Its funny because Aquarius rules Uranus but is exalted in Scorpio.

... oh ...

Well, being open-minded was something I slowly acquired in life. My biggest hurdle was climbing out of my Moon in Cancer shell, which didn't fully happen until my mid 20's.

And then there was still the Venus Conj Pluto I had to conquer, which didn't start to work for me until my early 30's.

I have a rather harsh chart, and so another reason I've become more open-minded and honest is because I've had to think out of the box in order to solve many problems/challenges.

Having a big imagination is great once you've laid that groundwork down. But until then, a good imagination is like dust in the wind.

My imagination comes from Mercury Conj Neptune, Venus Sextile Neptune, & Neptune Sextile Pluto.

I've also had some help from all my "soulmate" Aquarian friends who've helped me connect some important dots to my South Node & MC in Aquarius.

And then of course, I'm a Libra. Who was it that wrote the lyrics, "...You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one..."?

Libra John Lennon.

So if I was born with anything that resembled "open-mindedness" or "honesty" it would simply have been my innate naivete and vulnerability. But the really meaningful stuff? I had to learn how to acquire it.

The Moon in the 8th house is exalted, all other placements are in their fall, and uranus rules sexual attraction. He may be attracted sexually to things not normally considered beautiful.

He reminds me of the old leslie gore song:
You Don't Own Me

You don't own me
I'm not just one of your many toys
You don't own me
Don't say I can't go with other boys

Don't tell me what to do
Don't tell me what to say
An' please, when I go out with you
Don't put me on display

You don't own me
Don't try to change me in anyway
You don't own me
Don't tie me down 'cause I'll never stay

I don't tell you what to say
I don't tell you what to do
So just let me be myself
That's all I ask of you

I'm young and I love to be young
I'm free and I love to be free
To live my life the way I want
To say and do whatever I please

Wait -

I'm a little slow in the head on this one Natasha - You are saying Uranus rules sex because it's in Scorpio? Not quite understanding how you're connecting the dots.

BTW -

Libra guy has Uranus in Scorpio in the 10th.

Thanks!

A Planet cannot be in its fall by house. Those designations exist only with respect to an actual sign.

I say you just get off the computer and do him in a confessional...Lay-la...

Love,
Carlo
