Everyone go to your rooms until you can be civil with each other, and don't forget santa's watching. Lanny

I'm sorry. I tried to be civil. Did I do something wrong or that offended anyone?------------------ "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Ghandi IP: Logged |

I try to cultivate an environment of free expression in Lindaland and balance it with mutual respect, but inevitably some will always take advantage of the leeway given. Banning anyone is only as a last resort (unless they commit a crime, as in hacking the site or helping others to do so), but it looks like I will have to tighten the Rules around here a bit. If you do not get along with anyone here, try to ignore that person. That being said, the next person to hurl an insult or deliberate attempt to offend will have to be sent on his/her way. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Randall could you post your last response as a seperate thread with a catchy title that people will come to because I really don't think that it is fair to say it on this one thread and then someone who's feelings are hurt lashes out and they get thrown out. Especially since you have had so much patience regarding others. A public warning is only fair. ------------------ He ain't heavy, He's my brother- The Hollies IP: Logged |

Randall, I concur with silverbells. A specific thread to address this so no one can claim ignorance. The lack of "Forum Guidelines" is what makes this site unique and real. Please, keep it that way!IP: Logged |

It only opens up the door for ugliness. If we have no intent to be mean, it should be easy to follow some very basic rules of respect. Agree?example: 1. Racial slurs will not be tolerated. (like duh...but some people actually need to be told this) IP: Logged |

Too many structures have a way of taking on a life of their own and falling down around your feet, Better to address things as they happen but try to keep it vibrating at a good level. Damage control has been good today. Egos are restored. Feelings mended ( outwardly, at least) Which is not to say that's better, but it is progress beyond snarling. I am so Switzerland, here.IP: Logged |
