What would it mean if someone had 5 planets in one House, specifically the 9th.

I know the House is the area of life where the planets will play out, and all that. I have good interpretations detailing this too.

But while I have 4 planets in the 4th House, I'm not into Cancer guys. Would a lot of planets in the 9th mean an attraction to Sagittarius?

I dunno. I've got 7 planets in my fifth house but I'm rarely attracted to Leos.

Maybe it has more to do with you personally, and less with what you find attractive in others.
If you had lots of planets in your fifth house, then in relation to your own life, depending on the influences of the particular planets themselves, and the sign it is in, they would play out in that area of your life.... Fun, Pleasure, Sex, Children, light hearted pursuits,
Or if in the ninth house, challenging yourself to seek new avenues constantly and expand your horizons, learning about your fellow man, travelling steadily, philosophical pursuits...... If Uranus were there, you'd seek travel to open unexpected doors, and whenever you felt stifled, a great well of need would arise, making you want an out through movement, or Mars... making you outspoken and energetic about philosophies and new directions, religion, etc.....

All those planets in the 9th house would give a strong focus on 9th house matters. Travel would be at the top of that list. Whether they travel themselves (they really want to) Or marry someone from another country or culture, or watching British T.V or dealing with overseas countrys there going to feel that wonderlust.
They have strong beliefs, are generally honest and moral (there are exceptions). Thier views become Sagitarian like in that they gather information in response to thier questions in terms of the universe, they seek the truth as it pertains to them. School is important too. College, trade school etc.
In terms of what it means, you might not be attracted to sag types unless other factors warrant it, but you will sympathize with the plight of the Sagitarian, you share similar issues. Underneath it all you share very basic traits in regaurd to 9th house matters.(religion/philosophy)
Having so many planets in one house is going to leave the other houses a little skimpy, and the houses that are ruled by all those 9th house planets are also going to color those houses Sag. (ruler placed in the 9th)

Seventh house is the natural house for Libra. I guess you have Aries rising? Mercury feels good there because i is ruled by Gemini, another air sign. You are probably a very peaceable person, trying not to ruffle too many feathers, being the mediator, yet communicating your ideas all the same. Saturn in Libra might stifle this though, giving your expression a rather shy air. You may feel that your opinions are amoung a sea of many, and lost, or that you need to refine things before coming right out with them, hence the need to 'think' before speaking. Partnership might be a long time coming in your life, with Saturn placed here, or you may be attached at an early age, to an older person, and find it was too quick and you need to find yourself before committing again. Jupiter in the seventh though once again negates the partnership issues of Saturn. (Lots of cross vibrational issues) In a sense, though alot of different planetary energies happening here, they all inter-relate, and temper each other. As Jupiter in this house bestows luck and growth. Whether partnership in trhe sense of marriage, or business... working in conjunction with others will strengthen you. It is also open enemies, though, so it's up to you how this would relate to your life.
Pluto is regeneration, rebirth, lots of reformative energy potential. Anywhere Pluto lies in a chart gives a strong indication of where you can rebuild, and in what sense. It is a deep and mysterious force that can be called upon when in need of a change.
Keep in mind this is free flowing, off the top of my head, when I decided I couldn't just lie in bed anymore, not sleeping, so I have literally had NO SLEEP.
So you might want to run it by a qualified astrologer.

I have a question- are planets that are in conjuction supposed to be in house conjuction too? My Mars and Jupiter are in conjuction in Taurus, and are also both in the 12th house. Then I have a stellium, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, and they all also happen to be in the 7th house. Is this normal?

You can have out of sign aspects, by degree, but one doesn't preclude the other.

Well, because the house position is the 'stage' of life the planets work their energies, and the sign is the 'character', you can use the definitions I outlined, but chnge the setting.. instead of partnership issues and humanity, it would be more you in service to others and humanity.. also health. Virgo is Natural in sixth house, so think on Virgo/Mercury energy. The sixth house is thew last of the 'personal' houses, and usually means how you sublimate yourself, how you work for others, in an underlying, yet still strong position....

4 planets-mercury,saturn, jupiter and pluto in sixth house..... ( Cut and pasted from "Interpretations4")

With this position of Mercury, the mind runs ahead of the body, forcing it to accomplish what the mind has conceived; and this can bring on exhaustion. They want to help solve the problems of humanity, and may work hard and selflessly toward this end. Their nerves are often working overtime, making it hard for them to relax. From time to time, they may wind up in a state where they do not believe that they can accomplish physically what they see is necessary, which results in inertia. This inability to act is actually much harder on them than the strain of too much work.

Physical exercise is necessary for them to drain off their excess mental energy and keep it from affecting their physical system in a negative way. Since they are highly competitive in sports, for relaxation they should choose something non-competitive, such as jogging or swimming.

They are hungry for appreciation, though often they do not show enough appreciation of others to warrant getting any themselves. They are usually too critical of themselves, and must be constantly reminded that no-one is or can be perfect.
Disease and healing: You are physically vulnerable to what are classically termed 'nervous disorders'. The term 'misunderstanding' acquires greater relevance, since errors in perception or thinking are responsible for behavior patterns that lead to physical breakdown or malfunction. Sometimes this is caused by the brain machinery itself; sometimes it's more the human operator than the machine. The pitfall lies in seeing every imperfection, thus becoming negative or pessimistic. The challenge is to collect and analyze data about any situation (including care of oneself) with an eye toward objectivity, and an inner attitude focused on restoration and maintenance of wholeness. Disease is a breakdown or organization; and healing suggests renewed clarity - making the right connections.

Unequal relationships: The emphasis on inequality in relationships is less important than with other planets. The tonal quality shifts away from general relatedness, toward the specifica area of communication. You are more aware of differences in intelligence and education. The pitfall involves putting yourself down because others seem smarter or more eloquent. The challenge is to use your mind to observe the status and power distinctions that occur in all social settings.

Duty and service: Service is linked with rational intelligence or communication. Figuring out logical puzzles, solving problems, deciphering situations; these are all natural. You apply your mind to external situations, typically those involving both people and 'machinery'. Quotation marks are necessary because the machines you so love to take apart and put back together may be literal - metal, plastic, screws and bolts - but also metaphorical - the mechanics of human social interaction, for instance. In either case, you constantly look for flaws, broken pieces, and malfunctioning units. The challenge is to heal your own mind by using it to help others solve problems. While this provides clarity and an understanding of how things work, it can also become compulsive. Remember: if it's not broken, don't fix it. Don't even take it apart. If it is broken, study the basic design, discover how it works, and restore its functioning by repair.

Technical mind: You're possessed with a drive toward organization, an undying curiosity about the workings of things. There is detachment here, and neutrality, an almost computer-like sensibility. You process large amounts of information, constructing complex sequences of understanding, in part because you enjoy the endless feedback loop of mental stimulation. Your analyses branch out, to follow multiple lines of reasoning simultaneously. The pitfall involves your tendency to postpone final conclusions, instead being constantly in process with calculations. The challenge is to make your investigations pragmatically productive, to experience the satisfaction of problem-solving through clear analysis and critical understanding.

Discipline and routines: Regularity is not as important as variety. You need an active routine, one which satisfies your need for the daily stimulation of numerous tasks. Productivity per se is not as critical as the process of having problems to address, puzzles to solve. As with all Mercury levels, the placement of the Sun can significantly modify the way you approach your lifestyle. The challenge is to keep busy, with one eye on the eventual goal.

Saturn in the sixth house seems to provide an opportunity - often through frustration, disappointment, and ill-health - for a journey into the mysteries of the interconnection between mind and body and the possibility of a conscious and deliberate synthesis of these two, the reward of which is good health and a new awareness of the meaning of the body and of the material environment. Few people, however, are aware of this opportunity, because we are not made aware that there might be a deeper meaning to work and to health. More commonly, Saturn placed in the sixth refers to a state of disease, of discomfort, or of frustration and limitation in one's work situation. The fundamental psychological need for rhythm and ritual, the careful ordering of external life as a symbol of the careful ordering of the inner life which should, and rarely does, parallel it, is often denied in childhood. This need is as valid and as real as the need for security or for achievement.

You know what? I was gonna cut and paste it all, but it is so long, and has so many levels, that instead, I will post the link.

I totally agree with lalalinda about planets in the 9th house. If one of them is the Sun then the influence is even stronger.
I have 2 planets in the 9th house and one of them is the Sun. I'm 23, I've lived and worked in 3 countries so far and I married a foreigner and I live abroad. And I know the one day (soon) I'll move again.
