I'm probably wrong, but for some reason I thought that his sign was Taurus.

He was the notorious "advisor" to the last gasp of Russian Royalty.

Personally, I find it gross. But considering both his (unfortunate) impact to the world history and elusivness as a person, I guess anything is realtively interesting...

http://www.alexanderpalace.org/palace/Rasputin.html .

His birth date is disputed, but I think 1872 is genrally accepted birth year.

For some reason about 15 years ago I became totally fascinated by Rasputin. I read book after book about him. I looked at photographs, read recorded accounts by his family members, his mistress and his daughter. I can't look at his picture without crying. I feel like I knew him well. I also had dreams of him.

Anyway, he is a brief account of Grigori Rasputin and his life in a nutshell.

Grigori Rasputin was the controversial "Holy Man" of Russia. He was a man who was able to predict the future. He was great healer of both people and animals. A seer, a mystic and seeker of enlightenment. He was born in 1873 and during his early childhood years had many visions of both the Christ and the Virgin Mary. As a young man he fought to control his lust for both wine and women. He believed it was necessary to relieve the tensions of the flesh before begining any type of religious contemplation. Indeed, many of his women friends talked about how well he did this. His private parts became as legendary as the rest of him in later life. Which is why they were symbolically cut off by a homosexual guy who Rasputin had spurned and thrown across a room.

Most of his life he was convinced that the Mother of the Kristos [Christ] was calling him on a mission. Much later, he left his young family to join a group of monks in a remote Orthodox monastery in Siberia. Which followed a rigidly traditional view of Orthodox tenets. He spent all hours in devotional meditation and prayer, both increasing his awareness and power. It was said he could do the most amazing things with his body. Life in the monastery was harsh and cold. He could hardly move about in his tiny cell without windows. Food was very often just stale bread and water.

He grew very powerful in the Russian court of Tsar Nikolas and Tsarina Aleksandra when he cured their dying son of internal bleeding by simply forcing the dying boy to look at him. He loved Russia and the Tsars and felt he could use his influence for higher purpose. He never gave the Tsars bad advice and they learned to trust him and hold him in very highest esteem. This upset those who were jealous of his power and influence over the Tsars. He warned them of this often.

Many attempts were made on his life and he survived them all. This made him almost super human in the eyes of the common people. It is said that his strength and stamina could withstand almost anything. He never asked for any money ever. Any money pressed on him by wealthy bankers, businessmen, or royalty would be shared between his family and the poor peasant who was always desperate. He became a Robin Hood, taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Many thought him to be Christ returned. After all he healed them, fed them, and administered to their every spiritual need. There are extroadinary written accounts of his many good deeds.

After so many attempts on his life. Yet another plot was hatched to topple him. Poison was put in his port, enough to kill three men his size. That only dazed him. They then shot him in the head. He was still standing. They stabbed him, raped him, bludgeoned him. He still would not die easily. They finally castrated him, throwing his bloody and legendary penis across the room. He crawled out of the room and finally drowned under the ice outside.

There is a curious sect in Paris that worship Rasputin as the Christ, and of a curious relic around which this worship is focused. I do not think the one you see in the picture is the "real" one. In fact, I'm very sure of it.

Rasputin was the most enigmatic and notorious character in the Russian history. First of all he was known as a monk and healer, some people believed he was saint. He had great influence on the royal family after he had cured little prince Alexander of hemophilia.
On the other hand he was also known as a heavy drinker and vicious person, his sexual magnetism together with great powers of intuition made other people think he was a devil incarnate. Most information we have about him is based on rumours not documentary records.
Secret police kept him under observation but could not arrest him or really do anything since his influence on royal family was enormous. There were at least 4 or 5 failed attempts to kill him.
As for his date of birth, we don’t know it either, even the year of his birth is unknown, it ranges from 1863 till 1873.
I am sure his had a very strong influence of scorpio in his chart.
Ohh, almost forgot, at least 4 of his recognized children died very young.
P.S. I am sure the pic is a stupid fake.

I watched a doccie on the History Channel on Rasputin.Dont think they gave the date of his birth.A very enigmatic person.Caused heaven and hell in Russia(depending on how you see him-and NO I am not talking about his penis)
He looked like a rat so maybe he correlates to a rat symbolism in Astrology?Cant think of any at the moment.
There were various ways of trying to kill him-most failed. But the one I find most interesting is that he was given small cakes to eat but inside of them were cyanide tablets. He ate them but nothing happened. We all know that if we take cyanide tablets,we would die soon.
Also, there were reports in the doccie that he held sexual orgies.Men,women the whole lot included(obviously no children involved).

I am not even gonna comment on the penis in a jar.I dont think it is real though.

Would the penis not be flaccid when preserved? It's not as if there is blood flow to enlarge it.
If so...wow.

I have a book that says his Birthday is January 22, which makes him an Aquarius. It does not say what year. All it says is that he was a Russian mad monk, influential in court of Tsar Nicholas II, he had legendary powers and was assassinated. It does not say anything about his Penis, but yuk! what a way to be remembered! that's sick, really.

eek! That would qualify as "too big"...and it looks like a turd too. heh hee...ick.

But, his reputation certainly did precede him (and procede him for that matter)...I looked at his picture, and there's no doubt about it, he's got Scorpio heavy in his chart somewhere. Perhaps rising? Another sign that came to mind was Aries, as they have phenomoninaly strong constitutions, as well as ravenous appetites. (of all sorts)

A fascinating specimen, indeed.

He was born in 1873 month uncertain and died 16th December 1916. These are facts and very well recorded. He left a very prophetic letter written to his two daughters Varya and Katya. He had placed it in a draw for them to find the evening previous to his death. I have copies of the letter, and it is totally correct in it's prediction of the tears and bloodshed of his native land. He warned the Tsars so often of the treason that would befall them. However they did'nt move until it was too late.

I don't know.
He just feels very familiar. I seem to know him really well.

Interesting to note, I was born 18th December and that I was raised part Orthodox. I have no Russian family at all and absolutely no link with Russia. However I do feel I understand the Russian "Soul" really well.

That's really cool Gia - keep exploring this!

I know this lady (a Libra) who has also felt she understands the Russian soul. She's an author and has been working for years to provide her books to them.

He didn't hold orgies, but for a time lived with an Orthodox Christian sect that practised group sex. Not homosexuality, and not with children. He left the monastery he was at because other monks were making advances in that direction. He loved sex. He used it to relieve sexual tension before religious contemplation. Then he would often stay celibate for months and months on end.

maklhouf, exactly where do you Brits draw the line for prime time television content when children are likely part of the viewing audience?

I Just find this rich coming from a nation that is totally obsessed by boobs. This must be the land of the boobies!! Look at some of those music industry videos. Goodness, it was only a quick flash in comparison.

The whole of your celebrity viewing public, children included, are totally bombarded with sex all the time here in the USA. I'm always amazed at how children are allowed to dress in such a provocative manner going to school here let alone everything else. I think if we are talking conduct it's truly unfair to single Janet Jackson out. Look at Bay Watch, Jerry Springer, Howard Stern, and all those lovely celebs that are positively popping out all over the place. I'm sure Dolly Parton would have a whole mouthful of something to say on the subject.

Brits. tend to think It's about education not sensationalism. I think the Europeans perceive this so differently to people in the States.
