Topic: Exact Conjunction of Mercury+Mars in Synastry

Hi All,I would appreciate your thoughts on the conjunction of Mercury and Mars b/w lovers' charts. I googled it and found that this aspect can lead to great mental stimulation and accomplishment of work if the two planets are well-placed. Otherwise, it can cause a lot of arguments and bickering. Person A's Mercury is in 5th house Gemini and Person Bs Mars is in 1st house Gemini. Would you consider these well-placed since Merc is in its home sign and Mars in its natural house? They both are strong too with one being in a trine(merc) and other in an angular(mars). What do you all think? Thank you  IP: Logged |

Hey Cosmicgal -I'd say it's a good placement in terms of communication, and being able to put each other's motivations and feelings into words, helping one another in that way as well. The House placements seem good too. IP: Logged |

I agree. Also the 5th house mercury will feel the effects of the others Mars (persue) stimulating thier 5th house (love interests)On the other hand mars will feel strongly about mercurys pressence in the 1st house (assuming its a Gemini asc.) Ruler of mars' asc. and in conjunction (if its Gemini) with the asc. This is as strong as it gets. With the conjunction of mars and mercury, Mars will fire up mercurys mind and Gemini will have a field day! IP: Logged |

By Mercury always stimulating Mars' mind? Another thing that I noticed in these two charts is that the Mars that conjuncts her Merc also conjuncts (loosely) her Sun and squares her Moon. How would that alter the picture? Would the conjunction of that Mars with her Sun and squaring her Moon decrease the harmony indicated by the Mars/ASC + Merc. conjunction? IP: Logged |

Mercury rules the Gemini Asc.
You have mercury home in Gemini (ruler of his asc.)
the conjunction with the sun is a strong factor in attraction.
Plus the sun correlates with the 1st house mars.
A square with the moon is easily a workable problem, adds a little spice (discord)IP: Logged |
