Hi thereI have noticed that a lot of you guys here are either Scorpio sun, moon or ascendent. This prompted me to look at my chart to see where Scorpio lies. The only Scorpio planetery placement I have is in Saturn (in the 3rd house). I wanna knows what that means? What can you expect a person to be with Scorpio in Saturn? Thank you in advance! in Saturn IP: Logged |

Hi Yang! I have Saturn Scorpio in the second, along with sun, mercury, and pluto hehe. I can't really pinpoint the exact affect of saturn since I have a lot of Scorpio energy in my chart. I would have to say that one aspect is having much self-control, maybe too much. People, men mostly, always mark me as uptight. This is far from the truth but it's how I initially appear. I try not to impose my controlled nature unto others. Sometimes I slip and find myself controlling things in order to make myself feel more comfortable. It's something that needs to be moderated w/ this aspect! It's difficult because it serves as an emotional security. The thought of being vulnerable to another, in a love relationship, is something that frightens me as well. This is a saturn influence. I'm not to good on interpretation but maybe your saturn in the 3rd would make you set in your ways of thinking. Maybe sometimes you can be narrow minded. Mentally opening up could be something that makes you feel vulnerable. Sorry if I'm a bit off I'm an amateur It can be very restrictive at times. Loosening up and relaxing are things that need practice. IP: Logged |

Thanks Guys I must say that I am not narrow-minded at all.My mind is broad as broad can get! Talking about uptightedness, people also say I am uptight when I am really not.It seems to them I am. IP: Logged |

ok. so saturn in scorpio is about power and control. but what does its presence in 2 nd house mean in short? 'power and control over property?'------------------ Neerav IP: Logged |

Hey sorry Yang, I wasn't implying you were narrow minded. I was just trying to configure the aspects on my own without referring to a book for once lol The self control issue is probably the most evident! It's something I struggle with a lot. Hey Archer, I have saturn in the 2nd. I feel like it has a lot to do with security. My sun is also on the cusp of the 2nd house. In order for me to feel secure I tend to cling to things near me. I'm always overcompensating for things, just in case of a loss. I need to make sure I'm never w/ out objects I feel like I need. There's an emphasis on material possesions. My possesions, on a subconscience level, are me. IP: Logged |

"Saturn: If Saturn is in the 2nd house, in sect, and well dignified or received, then you will have a cautious disposition to financial matters and a potential for great wealth exists. The early lessons in your life balanced a sense of stability and agnoia, so that you have a good sense of your financial limitations, while at the same time not becoming overly pessimistic, overlooking financial opportunities. The danger here is excessive materialism; of ignorance that there is anything beyond personal wealth. This is the "Ebenezer Scrooge" position. Saturn, being the superior planet, tempts the native to believe there is nothing beyond its material expression of itself, since it presents itself as the ultimate authority. This illusion is more readily believed in charts of the diurnal sect, because the daylight clearly shows where boundaries lie, but for those born at night, the darkness leaves the native ignorant to possible and real dangers. Unable to distinguish between the shadows and the darkness, the native is more likely to make unsound financial decisions and have an unclear sense of what is valuable and worth while. Lack of self esteem is probable." IP: Logged |

don't forget....Saturn is certainly about limitation and fear....but it is also compulsive. Saturn in Scorpio may fear intimacy and areas of taboo.....but will be compulsively drawn to things as well. Saturn, the Lord of Karma, will propel an individual towards its fear until a resolution has been reached and the issue at hand is then handled in a more balanced and mature way. So in Yang's case, Saturn in the third compels him to think and think and think about things eventually creating a much more broadminded individual then he probably began as. ------------------ Z IP: Logged |

I remember Linda saying somewhere that Saturn is a person's planet of depression... in that depending on what sign it resides in, it may indicate whether one might be more prone to depression or not. Obviously, this is just one facet of the influence Saturn could have in our lives... But I must say, as a person having Saturn in Scorpio, I have to agree with that theory! It doesnt help that I have Sun and Moon in Capricorn, but oh boy can I get into some gloomy brooding moods! And for no apparent reason!IP: Logged |

my saturn is in second house scorpio. i am drawn to material goodies. like cell phones, computers, good looking vehicles, good looking flats. an underlining theme exists in my selection... i want then to be simple, elegant and userfriendly. like my sony ericsson t610 :-)------------------ Neerav IP: Logged |
