I think the next topic could be :
"which of the 12 main class A drugs was this astrologer on when s/he wrote these descriptions ?"

Seriously, these sun sign descriptions are fascinatingly schizoid and giving me a run for my money.

Um okay.
There are both Capricornian and Virgoan elements to this interpretation but there are too many Capricornian keywords to ignore. It's all a bit too rigid to be Virgo.

So Capricorn.

Thanks for chiming in, Pixie! But, like most everyone else it seems, you didn't notice that I asked two questions at the top of the string... so, why Capricorn?

(Maybe I should start putting "And why?" in capital letters...)

Hey now, I am jonesing for a smoke.,.. don't pressure me!!!
What if it is a gut reaction thing, do I have to justify it? Will you accept my answer if it is a gut reaction, or do you need hard data?

Textbook description of Cappy. But the pack rat thing at the end for sure did it for me.
I know both Virgos and Cappys do that.. but it screamed Cappy more to me.
I have a Cappy Moon AND mom and brother. I should know!!!

*almost spilled my morning coffee to keyboard while reading this tread*

I'm Cappy with Virgo Moon. I don't take work to vocation!! I don't collect things, I think they are easily replacable if I should need them. I don't too lists. My desk is usually covered with various papers.

And I don't get that 'HARD work' stuff. I like my work, I'd be off the door in a minute if I didn't and I put lot of me into it. But I hate that expression. I get irritate and cranky when people boast how HARD they work and all those extra hours they spend at their worlplace. Brr....

I believe in efficiency - it's amazing how much can be accomplished if you know what you are doing. I'm a 'pefectionist' when it comes to process. I see time and again people getting too cought up with their idea of perfect product. In my work I love most those 3 to 5 perfect moments per project when everything and everyone is at the 'right place' doing the 'right thing'.

I guess you can't get much more Capricornian, can you?

CAPRICORN...I personally think of this sign as very straight-laced in many ways. I think everyone nearly agrees on this one!

Definitely Capricorn.

"They are loyal to their families, their causes, and their superiors."

This is the first clue- not that Virgo's aren't loyal to their families, but Cap being opposite Cancer and Cancer being so family-oriented, Cap's are much the same, but more "oriented" instead of "clingy" like Crabs.

"No accomplished doctor, lawyer, scientist, or business executive could get far..."

The key word is accomplished. Cap's and Cap influenced people are very driven towards success and accomplishment and they love positions of authority. (I know because I have a 10th house sun!)

All the eight characteristics sound similar to Virgo, but my decision still lies in Cap.

Capricorn, no Taurus, no Capricorn...because my bestfriend is a double Capricorn Sun/ Rising, the work ethics on that girl are incredible.

I can just see her now asking me (Libra rising, venus, mars) when we go shopping "How are you going to pay for that? You don't even have a job!" All the rest describes her too, but she also has a wild leo moon, and other pisces influence so she's also kind of dreamy and very bohemian at times.

The hardwork/strong moral part also echoes *Taurus* but I think that it mentioned something about NOT doing things in excess. I think sometimes Taurus can go to excess with luxury/comforts (Taurus moon speaking)

why Taures?
in the beginning of your description it sounded like a fixed sign (which Taures is), hard working, they follow through with their projects, loyal, strong moral fiber what made me think Taures is
"knows how to balance their checkbooks" (earth quality, if it was Cancer they would be accumulating and not balancing)
perseverence (fixed)
I'm seeing fixed earth

Totally Capricorn. If it were Virgo, it would mention the mental dexteriety which is a hallmark of Virgo, and the clincher for me was....
quote:
5. Perseverance. They stick to,their convictions and opinions. Opposition only serves to strengthen their dogged determination.

Virgo, being a mutable sign, and a bit too self-critical and pessimistic, can become discouraged easily, and need reassurence and pep-talks on a fairly regular basis. Capricorn NEVER needs a pep talk, because they never lose their motivation, or sight of their goal.

Oh, and Taurus never really entered the race for me because they make no mention of this sign's artistic nor sensual sides. No mention of their hedonistic side.

Welllll... sooo faaar it seems obvious to me that this description applies to both Virgo and Capricorn. Possibly the element of Earth in general? Whaddya think? Can anyone make a case for or against including Taurus?

I still say Taures
Keywords like organize, perseverence, dogged determination, catalogers all words describing fixed signs.

What makes me think Taures instead of Capricorn? (discriptions do fit) is "the right thing" Capricorns objective is always to rise (yes through hard work) but they eventually have their eye on the bosses job.
Ruthless is associated with Capricorn.
Taures on the other hand is content with comfort, the bosses job only means added responsibility which in turn will take away from home.

Has anybody ever tried to MAKE a Taures change his mind? You don't make these people do anything or you'll be talking to the incredible breathing wall.
