Mars in Libra is supposed to make one lazy to get started, but of course, depends on the other Chart influences.

Also, if your Mars is in a later degrees of Libra, you've managed it better. And probably, if Mars is in the beginning degrees of Scorpio (the next Sign over), then you haven't yet gotten the hang of that energy yet. My Mars is in Scorpio at 0.51 degrees, so in terms of it's evolution, it's in it's "infancy".

Here's more :::

"MARS IN LIBRA

Mars is in the Sign of its detriment here and the radiations from the planet can be very dangerous if the native is not careful. There is a liability towards making unwise associations and ties and since Libra is a sign connected with marriage this position can be productive of unions with unsatisfactory results. Divorces and broken homes can result from this combination. He must employ the balancing influence of Libra in its full potential if he is to belittle the negative influences of Mars in this position."

My ex had Mars in Libra/7th house, still does.

He is very lazy around the house, bit of a slob physically too. Good with mechanical things though, can fix anything as long as there is no lifting involved. Very rigid about time, and critical of everyone. Works with computers, artist, very investigative and suspicious much like Mars in Taurus.

Sensual, but not sexual, likes pretty wholesome women, nothing trashy. Prefers friends, over lovers, likes light companionship, doesn't like to save money or be burdened with financial details. Sensitive to criticism, doesn't like to be alone,

Stickler for follow through,

Good manager,

And good cook, and good kisser

Mars in Libra is what is called its detriment, or opposing its ruling sign, which for Mars is Aries. While I'd wouldn't say it's ll bad, Libra isn't exactly the best place for Mars mainly because unlike Aries, which is a fire sign and therefore action-oriented and emotive, Libra is an air sign, which is more thought-oriented and cerebral.

The main problem with Libra Mars is that the energy of Mars, that seeks expression through action, gets hijacked by Libra's inclination to ponder things. Libra Mars is often prone to be "all thought and no action," hence why it can make its natives lazy in some cases. Libra's major flaw is indecision, which gets emphasized in this placement unfortunately. However, once libra gets off the starting block, it's usually pretty good at accomplishing things, as it is a cardinal sign and so it has certain determination about it.

On the brighter side of things, the sensual and aesthetic side of Libra can get also emphasized here too, giving its native particularly refined (and sometimes fussy) tastes and a certain charm or grace about them, as is common for Libran persons. People with a Libra Mars that is well-aspected and well-focused (by aspect or by the native's own doing), and therefore less inclined to exhibited its weaker traits, are often good diplomats, mediators, salespersons and even spouses (despite Natasha's personal testimony - although Libra isn't the most domesticated sign around, so it's probably not good to expect a lot in the homefront from a Libran type). Libra Mars' strengths tend to fall in the area of social interaction and relationships, so as long as the native doesn't succumb to idle socializing and self-indulgence and remains focused on being productive and helpful to others, things aren't so bad.

Here's some more descripts that might help you: http://groups.msn.com/interpretations2/marsinlibra1.msnw

While this is a debiliated placement in astrospeak, planets with delibities aren't hopeless. However, they do require work at overcoming their weaknesses. You have to look at the rest of your chart, determine the strongest planets and what ares of your personality and life they influence, and then learn to direct that positive strength towards weaker planets and their areas.

Also, look at your Venus, which may or may not help. If you have what is called "mutual reception" on planets between Venus and Mars, this is not really a delibity, but dignity by mutual reception. Confusing perhaps. With Libra Mars it'd have to be Aries Venus (or possibly Scorpio Venus, although Aries is better). These would overcome much of Libra Mars' weakest, giving you a better balance of Martian and Venusian energies.

Even if you don't have either Aries or Scorpio Venus, if you have a leo or Sag Venus, a fire moon, a fire Jupiter or a Fire Sun (and to a lesser extent, a fire ascendent or Saturn), these can help you, although, like I said above, you'll need to work at focusing these available energies.

If you don't have any fire in your chart, don't lose hope. Take alook at this article about working with delibities: http://www.stariq.com/Main/Articles/P0001828.HTM This a "mind over delibities" approach that I think can work, since I use a very similar approach with working with my more problematic chart placements too.

GN, are you a professional astrologer? your astrological knowledge is that of an expert. Cheers to you, you have amazing talent! *klink*

Now, back to topic. I have Mars Libra, 4th house, however have been advised with Pluto in conjunction this would energize Mars. Is this your perception also? I must admit, once I heard this I felt better about this placement. My Venus is in Virgo, so that ain't helpin.

What are your thoughts when Pluto hits Mars, both in 4th house?

I went out with a Mars in Libra guy. He liked attractive women and took artful nude photographs. He has an art gallery/design business and is really into classical/Jazz music. He was sort of a gigilo - slept with several women at once - not including me!
