I spoke too soon when I said Gwen Stefani was still happily married to Gavin. Literally a couple of days after I posted that here in a thread, comes the news Gavin lied to her about having been involved with a certain woman. How does she know? A paternity test proves it - yup - he's the father of a 15-year-old girl.

Gwen is a Libra with Cancer Moon, and Venus in Virgo like me - meaning - this could be a dealbreaker. I wonder if she should stay with him. None of us know all the details, and I must stress that because there's always many sides to a story.

Astro, maybe Gwen kinda always knew he'd end up her ex-HUSBAND?

If he has a 15 y/o he must have been a child himself. I say forgive the poor bloke.

I see a lot of red flags in her interviews and lyrics - things that suggest their relationship isn't healthy. But no one can know for sure.....

Yes a lot of red flags. In a big article in some checkout counter mag that had her on the cover a while back, I read it while waiting in line and thought, geesh, she's trying too too WAY too hard to convince us everything's wonderful. "Oh Gavin's prefect, a real mutlitasker, he can do everything! It's prefect! I'm so happy!" (When do you hear wives saying they're happy because their husbands are mutlitaskers??? Wouldn't that really mean that he's never fully available for you? Hmm...yep, big ol red flag.)

That's the dilemma of celebrity marriages - the public wnts them to fail, they want them to be miserible, so the celebs go out their way to keep problems under wraps and the public eye looking elsewhere.

On the other hand I'm sorry for her. If her marriage goes down in flames, it'll haunt her publically as well as personally, seeing how high profile it is. I'm no fan of hers, but I don't think she deserves that.

i always felt like they were going to divorce for some reason. like she wanted to get married so bad and lost her reason when choosing gaven. kind of like she forced him into it. they had been on and off for so long. i don't know. i did love her wedding dress though. maybe she'll be willing to part with it now! j/k

i'm sure if they do break up she will be writing some very interesting lyrics.

Oh no. I have been listening her new singel for couple of days and wondering what's wrong...

What an amazing time
What a family
How did the years go by
Now it's only me

/---/

Look at your watch now
You're still a super hot female
You got your million-dollar contract
And they're all waiting for your hot track

What you waiting
What you waiting
What you waiting
What you waiting
What you waiting for

I don't think you can (or should) ever analyze poetry with 'no she is wrting about THIS', but the general vibe is not happy.

i like that song too Aen. i haven't seen the video to it, but maybe that would give some more insight as to what it is about.

I saw the video and it's not a negative thing at all. It's sort of like her coming out song as a solo artist without her band. She's singing about having writing block. She doesn't have her band to collaborate with for the first time, and she's got the "million-dollar contract" and so is expected to put out something good. The pressure an artist goes through, to be true to your art and self-expression, rather than falling into the trap of writing to please others.

i cannot imagine the pressure celebrity marriages must deal with. i would think a larger than average ego is pre-req. and then you pair up two similar beings and expect it to work?

you know who i like as a couple. sarah jessica parker and matthew broderick. they seem absolutely resolved with him on the sidelines more or less. i totally agree with the notion married men and women are much happier when the woman has the majority of influence. whats difficult is convincing a man of this..

im gunna havta check out thier composite.. sarah is an aries if i recall.

They are BOTH Aries, which really surprised me because Broderick seems so soft spoken, but he's not exactly on the sidelines, he's been quite successful doing live stage (Broadway) for a while now. Many actors prefer to do live, or like the change for a while. To most actors, it's their roots. Sarah did "Annie" live for a while, so I think they have that in common.

But yeah, I remember seeing Gwen on TV saying she NEVER wanted to date another musician, it was like a big rule for her, but that it was working out between them. Since she has the same Sun, Moon, Venus, Neptune & Pluto as me - and since she married (which I've not done yet) - I'm SURE she's devasted. Stuff like that just wipes away any semblance of faith you ever had about life, the world, God, or men ...

Hi Gloria,

My bad, I wasn't clear enough. I like that song a lot and find it empowering. And video is great. Such a fun fresh take of Alice in Wonderland themes. Cool.. But listening it without video – this song is not written by a happy person. It doesn’t mean it is about marital problems.

I just wish she gets through whatever is eating her.

i looked up thier charts aj, broderick has pisces merc and mars..awwwww. this could explain the soft spoken quality.

and yes, i understand he has a career on broadway and had a decent movie career before that. i guess what i meant was, she is clearly the one with more mainstream attention.

but they have some interesting ties in thier synastry.
