It has come to my attention that not everyone is aware of these.1)First house= selfish newborn infant = Aries 2)Second house= the gifts you came into this life with= Taurus 3)Third house= learning to talk and communicate= Gemini 4)Fourth house= the mother child bond= Cancer 5)Fifth house= creative play using imagination = Leo 6)Sixth house= apprentice studying a craft= Virgo 7)Seventh house= finding a mate= Libra 8)Eighth house= sex and other intimate secrets= Scorpio 9)Ninth house= moving out into the adult world= Sagittarius 10)Tenth house= climbing the business ladder of success= Cappricorn 11) Eleventh house= earning your reputation in the community= Aquarius 12)Twelth house= the old wize person (picture a kooky zen master who speaks in nonsensical riddles)= Pisces ***Of course everyone will have their own way of describing these- but this thumbnail sketch explains the basic concept. That I know of, Linda Goodman did list the Life stages of the signs, but not the signs of each house. I learned that from an astrology class.IP: Logged |

Another View: Developmental Model for Spiritual GrowthAries: Conception--quickening of the seed. (1st trimester_ Taurus: Embodiment...fetus visible as child (second trimester) Gemini: Consciousness....fetal movement (third trimester) Cancer: Birth...emergence into the light Leo: Childhood..learning througn "lets pretend" Virgo: Adolescence...transition from child to adult Libra: Entrance into society, post graduation, around age 21. Scorpio: Mid-years, rearing children, developing career (age 21-40) Sagittarius: Empty nest, final climb to success (age 40-60) Capricorn: Retirment. Transition to constultant phase. (60--- Aquarius: Universal consciousness. The "second career." (60-90) Pisces: Christ Consciousness. (late 80's on... At this point, you can do or be anything you like. The world will just right it off as the eccentricity of the elderly. CAUTION: Lest you think of the early signs as less evolved, REMEMBER: Life is cyclic. Aries is sometimes "older" than Pisces, having emerged from it.

That's so funny that the 7th House is about finding a mate. Because I have five planets in my 7th House, and yet I'm a total failure in this department. IP: Logged |

you not kidding with the signs/houses. fyi - i'm a sag. Leylalefay and Rev. Alice - your info was a must to consider. i can dig all of it. thanks. Sassygirl - if it makes you feel any better - i have no planets in 7th house (a kickass juno in sag in 8th and mercury in capricorn in 8th - how hot/cold is that?) other than the ruling one and I've NEVER had a boyfriend/girlfriend past my pre-teens, even though I've had friends that were males and only a pinch females. Suddenly, a partner in my life is beginning to look/feel mighty intriguing, exciting, and downright sneaky (in good fun). Best of luck in the partnership arena. i'm enthusiastically looking forward to continuing the journey through the remainder of stages of life. keep your chin up. IP: Logged |

Hey good luck to you too, Amisha. Interestingly, the planet that rules my 7th House is actually IN the 7th, so one would think that finding a mate would be a shoo-in for me. But nooooooo....
