I had a great friend (now deceased) who had Aries Sun with Pisces Mars. Pisces is a hard placement for Mars, like Pisces' polarity, Virgo. People with this placement are usually very emotional and sensitive, often lacking in the overt Martian traits like aggression and determination. Egos tend to be hypesensitive and easily injured with this placement too, and the native may be inclined to to feel persecuted or like a martyr. Drug/alcohol abuse can be a problem too.

Pisces' main strength is intuition, so physically the person may be relatively weak and even dimunitive, and likewise, they may have a lot trouble being objective and exercising reason without intuitive biases.

However, because this placement tends to enhance intuition, it encourages a lot of creativity and desire to express oneself creatively, often producing a highly sensitive artistic type. Music and abstract painting are a very common interests for Pisces Mars. Also, these people tend to need other people, but are highly empathetic, which can cloud their judgement about other's intentions - chosing good friends and avoiding parasitic people is very important with any significant Piscean influence.

Heya Dreamangel -

I'm married to a Mars in Pisces guy (though with an Aqua Sun). Much of what GN said rings true from him, too.
He's an artistic soul, especially if you get ahold of some of his earlier writings - they're enough to wrench your heart.
He's terribly sensitive to criticism - sometimes it's even difficult for my Pisces Sun to navigate.
He's warm and tender and can cuddle the night away (though that may be his Taurus Moon coming into play).
He's highly empathetic and can sometimes verbalize my moods before I can.
Some of the more negative stuff's there, too, but it's not mine to dwell on.

My sister has this placement and she is married to a great guy Scorpio sun/Venus in Scorpio, Mars Aquarius, Libra Moon, Sag rising.

They are deeply in love, two children, married ten years. Before him she was very unhappy. She really needed her soulmate, someone to have faith in her. I find the best way to be happy with Mars in Pisces is to be surrounded by those who love you, and have total faith in you.

I have to love my sister totally in my heart or she picks up on any negative energy. She is number one in my heart for real.

I know a Mars in Pisces person very well, and most of what Gemini Nymph said describes him perfectly.

Extraordinarily artistic, hypersensitive, inclined to play the victim/martyr... a lot of trouble being objective and yes, cloudy judgement regarding other people too.

Overall, it greatly enhances the Pisces sun emotional depths and intensity. You may feel you are drowning in their emotional watery depths at times.

I'm an Aries Sun, with Pisces Mars...much of what GN said is true...but I don't think there's a person on earth who would call me weak. In fact, many of those who know me have said I am the strongest person they know. With Pluto conjunct a Leo Asc., no one will ever call me diminutive.

I always trust my instincts about people, and I am almost always right.

My Mars in Pisces is in Mutual Reception with Neptune in Scorpio...which makes that Mars Pisces also resonate to the energies of Mars in Scorpio.

And that Mars of mine is in the 7th (ruled by Aqua)...I am a sucker when I fall in love.

Thanks for responding sorry it took me alittle time to get back.I have been having quite a time with a man i'm dating who is a pisces with a taurus moon, and mars in pisces..venus in cap.
I'm about to give up on this one I Will never fiqure this relationship out!!
He changes like the wind WE started dating alittle over 7 months ago.He cares but can't commit....needs alot of space like a week at a time. He's not very sexual...it's almost like he doesn't know who to be in bed aggressive...sensitive...he has a hard time with letting his emotions out.So he avoids getting to close or maybe he's living a double life that i'm not aware of.
From the moment I layed eyes on this guy I was hooked Why???? I can't quite explain!!
But I have been very easy on him after reading about pisces and there emotions normally I would have told the guy see ya!
Only seeing him once a week, never on time, doesn't have sex much, only wants to cuddle....and have me cook him food.Never takes me out just kinda hangs out.
I have turned down alot of guys wanting to see where this could go.
Everyone thinks he's intimidated??
I'm a virgo with scorpio moon,venus leo,mars in cancer.

I'm very artist I love to write and sing and play the guitar...he's not the slightest interested in reading or art.

I agree with Trill:

I am a Sag Sun/ Aries moon / Pluto Conjunct Ascendant in the 1st house and I have Venus in Sag...Also like Tril - I have Neptune in Scorpio (3rd house and Mars in the 6th house)

Combine that with a Jupiter in Scorp and Mars in Pisces and not only will I fight a battle, I will find a way to defeat my opponent in a very unassumming manner - first finding their weakness, then pouncing on them

When I was young, Mars in Pisces was hard to control- it would make me feel so horrible after I stood up for myself- BUT having all that fire and strong water- the Mars in Pisces lent a fair amount of compassion and empathy.

Also like Tril, I don't think anyone would call me weak, diminuitive or indecisive. BUT..that could be due to the other planetary positions that I have in my chart.

My Taurus fiance also has Mars in Pisces - he is very strong- with his Sun conjunct Ascendant in the 1st house and Jupiter in Aries in the 12th. That Mars placement is what aids him in his work (He is a military police officer).

Here is what I found on Mars in Pisces:

Mars is in aversion to its Aries domicile here being in the 12th sign from it. This has the effect of inhibiting spontaneous action and forthrightness of motivation. There is the hint that agnoia is present (because Saturn's joy is in the 12th) with regard to motivations meaning that the native may not be very aware of what drives him/her. Because the 12th represents the unconscious, and Mars is full of energy, they are often restless and find it hard to release their energy directly. This often leads to indecision where there are two or more opposing viewpoints. Some may dislike competetion. However, if they are consciously aware of their intentions, they can be quite adept at hiding their motivations from others. Despite the restlessness associated with this energy, they are often careful of how they express it because it is also the 5th sign from its other domicile, Scorpio. This is a fairly good position for those involved in covert operations like spying or for investigators of crime or the paranormal. They may be talented in more fluid martial arts styles like Tai Chi. According to Ptolemy, Mars is in its own trigon for both day and night while in this sign and is therefore essentially dignified.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness of the day make it more difficult for the impulses of Mars to be contained. This should theoretically increase the restlessness or carelessness of the natives actions indicating a lack of forethought and motivational awareness. There may be a tendency to overreact to emotional stimuli.

In a nocturnal chart, the cool and moist of night help mitigate the impulses of Mars. This is better for decision making processes and self control. Restlessness should be less of a problem theoretically. Physically they may be more coordinated favoring fluid, graceful movements, but with afflictions they may become lethargic.

I have a nocturnal chart and my mate has a diurnal chart (night time birth versus day time birth).

We are both into meditation (he is a taoist and I am more into natural / American Indian spirituality).

I hope this helps

As far as Mars in Pisces and lots of water in a chart- hmm...I do think that would be hard to handle, but once someone is aware of their weakness it can always become a strength.

Dream - Sexually, Mars in Pisces likes to Merge..totally MERGE..meaning it is a big deal for us to "completely fall into our lovers". Where is his Saturn.
