Linda mentions that pisces is stronger than Scorpio in the long run. I think this is true - what does everyone think?

Fixed is like steel, unflexible, so it breaks. Mutable is stronger. Can also be the most destructive, don't forget that ...

I think they'd be too busy staring at one another, waxing poetic and understanding, and then falling into a dreamy tangle of limbs to destroy each other.
But then that's just my opinion.

Can't we all just get along?

"Can't we all just get along?"

Looking at it from an overall historical prespective of human society, I can't say the outlook is terribly bright. Sorry. i wish I had a better answer.

Pisceans have mindboggling capacities for enduring pain - another paradox about this sign is that while it's easily wounded in very real and profound ways, it is most likely to found a way to spiritually transcend its own pain. So they can still be loving and giving to others even when deeply wounded themselves. Scorpios don't fair as good at this - they really, really need to attend to any woundedness or it'll dominate them...and everyone in near promixity to them.

Another thing is Pisces adapts better to change - they can accept that others change and still love them all the same. In fact Pisces can be genuinely confused by staticness - even though Piscesans do need a certian amount of stablity (which they usually find through love), they thrive best in an existence full of undercurrents that are always in motion and flux. Scorpios, however, are much less adaptable this way and can even find change traumatic.

There are some Scorpio influences which would make one SEEK OUT change, and like Aquarius, have their own way of creating upheavels and revolutions. I have to say, I know this firsthand as it can be devastatingly accurate with three Scorp Planets in the 6th House, one of them (Mars) Sextiling Uranus, plus a Mutual Reception between my Scorp Mercury & Virgo Pluto.

Sometimes, it's like having a blowtorch more powerful than any mere mortal can hold on to, without falling backwards and torching a few things within range inadvertently.

It's kind of like pens. You know the thing that comes down from the cap that you use to attach your pen to your shirt or something? I always have to take them off, it's one of my neurotic tendencies (Piscean here, heh). The really strong, set ones are usually a lot easier to break than the more mallable plastic ones. Just something that popped into my mind.

I would say I disagree...

Scorpios have "all consuming" passion that can either boost or destroy them. I don't think any other sign will want to go against a Scorpio on something they feel passionate about for fear of being demolished in the process - that includes a Pisces.

Pisces do not have that. Their interests are more dispersed. They bend and mold themselves to the situation as needed.

The two characters are completely different; I would not really say one is stronger than the other.

then how come scorpio is always referred to as the most powerful and strongest sign?... after all, we have the phoenix as one of our symbols, we always rise above from the lowest of life's tribulations.... but thats my opinion.

That's the thing: We fish don't try to rise.
We don't try to defeat.
We just "be".

I think that's why

Perhaps the Mutable one was able to divert whatever it was that wanted to take them down in the first place. The Fish. One going upstream, one downstream. We all have downstream days, but Pisces' has no boundary between life and death. Scorpio does. It is the Fixed Sign. It is the "organizer" of Water. It teaches that there is life and there is death, and how to go from one to the other.

Pisces just goes.

Ultimately, Scorpio can decide not to be destructive with Water, but when Water is Mutable, there is nothing that can stop it. Just ask flood victims. That's what makes it "POTENTIALLY" more destructive.

Upstream or downstream. Destroy or transform.

Cancer is the least "evolved" Water, so it's really just getting the hang of it's power, but is Cardinal. It's really the first phase of "handling" Water's potency. That's why Cancer influences makes one muckity muck sometimes, where all we know is we are in a BAD MOOD. We don't quite yet know how to transform ourselves to the degree Scorpio's have accomplished, and we're dealing with Cardinal influences, not Mutable/flexible influences.

An analogy, Cardinal is the hurricane forming, Fixed is the regenerative process the circulation of oceans maintains, Mutable is the Floods.
