I am secretly in love with a man who has his Sun and Venus in Capricorn. I would like to know if someone like myself, who has their Sun and Venus in Pisces, is compatible with someone like him. Thank you.

Hey Fish

I've seen a few relationships involving that combo work well - but the good astro peeps here'll need both of ya'll's birth info (birth time/place/date) in order to give you a real answer.

Proxieme, thank you so much for the reply. Is there any way I could get a compatibility reading without posting any personal information?

You can, but it'll be awfully generalized.

Hm.
Have you been to www.astro.com?
You can put in ya'll's info there and (besides getting a relatively useful - and free - "astro click portrait" if you so choose) copy and paste all of the signs, aspects, and placements for the two of you to this forum.

You'll most likely get less replies - looking at all of that info can just be dumbfounding - but there's a chance.

Hi, Poissons
Somebody here (I think it's Nackie?) has a book about Astrological Statistics, and some of the stats she posted were regarding marriage between the signs. Well, you'll be interested to know that the most enduring marriage unions are those between Pisces/Capricorn people, statistically speaking. I think the stats are highest when the female is the Pisces and the male is the Capricorn.

Based on that statistic, it's obviously a very successful pairing of signs for marriage. In fact, I KNOW a Pisces/Capricorn couple. They are one of my dearest, oldest friend's parents, and they've been married for about 45 years. She was always a stay-at-home mom and housewife, and he was always the breadwinner, and they both were very content with that arrangement. Maybe that's partly why this union works so well. Cappy men are very traditional that way, and Pisces women like the feeling of being taken care of and protected. (mostly, anyway, unless they have mitigating factors in their chart that make them fiercly independant and ambitious lady fishees)

to you.

Poissons, I know of a few Capricorn men/Pisces women couples that have made it through the years. Good luck!

Wow, Lioneye, thank you for the heads up on that book!
Nackie, do you still have the book?

You know what would be TOTALLY TOTALLY AWESOME, if you ask me, to compile? Stats on enduring relationships over time. Watch for any patterns, and see if any adjustments in behavior correspond to Slower Planets. If so, is there a delayed reaction in behavior, or is it much more in line with Philbird's exquisite research on the secret life of plants - essentially a preordained pre-knowing.

So if Pisces & Cappy's are doing great now, were they also doing great 200 years ago. Interesting, huh?

It might even help decipher any definite set of indicators providing an "on-sight" scale of evolution. Example: If those souls continue to meet over time, what in their Chart indicates any sense of hope of resolvement?

I want to thank everyone who replied to my message. I visited a site that said Venus in Capricorn was a serious and faithful companion. My best friend has this placement and she is far from being committed to one man. Does this mean that my secret love, who has his Sun and Venus in Capricorn, will be unfaithful too? I am madly in love with this man and I want to be with him, but the thought of him being unfaithful kills me.

Wow, you both have your moons in the same sign?! The last time that happened to ME, it was like an electric shock - I had the biggest crush in my life. But it wasn't meant to be.

So, I can relate to your situation Paloma.

If you ask me, just go for it, why do you need all the astrological advice. Go with your heart.

LIONEYE!!! How are you? I keep thinking about you because I haven't seen you post. I missed you!!!

Poisson,

My dad is a Cappy Sun / Cappy Venus and is married (very happily I might add) to my stepmother who happens to be a Pisces Sun / Pisces Venus.

They have had their hard times, but always work it out. I love seeing them together.

Yin, what does it mean to have your partner's moon sign in yours?

Pidaua, I am amazed at how well you get along with your stepmother. Very unusual indeed. May I ask you a question? I heard Capricorns are very aloof and serious. Was your Capricorn father like that? If so, did he ever warm up after meeting your Pisces stepmother?

Passions, your moon is in Libra and his moon is in Libra therefore they are in the same sign. I read somewhere that that's the best indicator for a good marriage. The moons in the same sign feels like you can read each others' thoughts. Great aspect!

Capricorn men - warm and fuzzy - only at home and only if nobody else can see them. Although they grow 'young' with age. My dad is a Cappie as well, and this Sagittarius prefers to love him from a distance!

Yin, Capricorn's sensitivity is only visible to family but not strangers? Interesting. I hate to ask more questions, but what do men with Sun and Venus in Capricorn look for in a woman?

Poissons, here is more info form astro.com:
quote:

Sun Conjunct Venus(meaning they are in the same sign etc.)

This is a very favorable influence, which should be of great assistance throughout your life. You have the ability to make others like you. When you want, you can be very agreeable and charming and can even win enemies over to your side simply by being friendly. And this is not just appearance; you are truly a very affectionate person who enjoys giving and receiving love. However, unless you get proper reinforcement from your loved ones, you may not be especially demonstrative. You are sociable and like to be with friends.

You may have to work out one problem. It is almost too easy for you to find your way through life by being friendly and warm. You tend to compromise to keep the peace, even when there is a serious issue to be worked out. At times it is necessary to confront people directly and forcefully; otherwise people may not take you seriously, or they may try to walk all over you. This is about the only difficulty presented by this aspect.

You are fond of beautiful things and may have some ability in the arts. At the least you will appreciate the arts and will be able to make artistic judgments without relying on the opinions of others. In fact others may come to you for your opinions on questions of art and good taste.

You also enjoy good food and drink, which may be a problem unless you are careful not to overdo it.

Here is more from your relationship horoscope:

quote:

Sun in the Ninth House
Composite Sun in the ninth house indicates a relationship that involves the growth of consciousness. Particularly in a personal relationship, the experiences that you undergo will give you greater understanding and insight into what is going on in your world.
With the Sun in this position, a relationship between the sexes may tend to become platonic.
The two of you will be very interested in communication and the sharing of ideas. You may travel quite a bit or at least be interested in foreign or distant places.
For a personal relationship the only possible defect of this placement is that the relationship is likely to be more intellectual than emotional.
This position is useful in any type of relationship because it indicates that together you have foresight and the ability to plan ahead for the long haul.

Sun Conjunct Mercury
The conjunction of composite Sun and Mercury signifies that there will be a great deal of mental activity in this relationship. This aspect is good for verbal communication between you.
You both should be wary of the tendency to intellectualize your emotions rather than deal with them at the gut level.
You have an unusual similarity of thinking, or at least a better than average ability to understand each other's thinking.
Mercury is a planet of travel, not always in the literal sense of the word, but in the metaphorical sense; that is, you like to be continually exposed to new ideas and experiences together.
One of the most positive attributes of this aspect is the ability to be detached from what you are discussing. Because of this detachment you may even be able to talk about your relationship and arrive at understandings that will help you both to get more out of it.

Moon in the Fifth House
The composite Moon in the fifth house suggests that your relationship exists because it makes you both feel good, especially emotionally.
Obviously this is a good position for any kind of personal relationship, especially a love affair. You will enjoy each other's company immensely.
The major deficiency of this position is that you may find it difficult to settle down to anything serious. This can be especially difficult in a marriage or long-term love relationship, for you can't always have fun and games; at some point you have to work at the serious business of building a relationship together.

Moon Conjunct Mars
The conjunction of composite Moon and composite Mars indicates that you arouse very strong feelings in each other, but by itself it does not indicate whether they are good or bad feelings.
In a love relationship, for example, this aspect indicates that you will have a very strong emotional involvement. The relationship will probably stir up both positive and negative emotions in both of you.
If your relationship is basically good, you will simply experience a heightened emotional involvement, although with a greater tendency to quarrel. But if your relationship is not otherwise very sound, it will be destroyed by the fighting that this aspect produces.
One of the strong points of this aspect is that in a sexual relationship it creates a good deal of sexual energy.

Moon Opposition Jupiter
The opposition of the composite Moon and composite Jupiter may bring the two of you together even though you are quite different, but it also provides the energy for you to adjust to each other.
An opposition is an active aspect, which means that the two of you will have to be active together.
Sometimes with this aspect there is a compulsion to be "happy-go-lucky" all the time. You may be reluctant to deal with serious concerns that you should be facing together.

Moon Conjunct Saturn
The conjunction of composite Moon and Saturn can create an emotional barrier between you, so that you have trouble communicating with each other on a feeling level.
You will do a lot of analyzing, both of the relationship and of each other. The danger is that you will make things seem worse than they are.
At best, analyzing your relationship can help you understand what you have together, but it cannot completely replace intuitive communication.
This aspect may cause the two of you to subordinate emotional considerations to supposed necessities or responsibilities, denying yourselves the joy and pleasure of open and relaxed self-expression. Try to relax together and not be so serious about things.

Venus in the Eighth House
Composite Venus in the eighth house indicates emotional intensity concerning love.
In a love relationship, the expression of love will be quite intense, with a powerful quality that will transform both of you in some fundamental way. Your love will not be light and gay but something very serious that involves both of you at all levels of mind, body, and soul.
On quite a different level, the eighth house can also refer to joint finances and property. Venus promises material prosperity with this relationship.

Neptune Opposition Ascendant
This aspect can have a number of effects, most of which are quite difficult to deal with. First of all, it implies that something is preventing this from being a true relationship between equals. It is very often the case that one of you has entered the relationship with the idea of sacrificing yourself in order to "help" the other. But there is a very subtle kind of egotism operating here under the disguise of self-sacrifice.
Sometimes this symbolism takes the form of one of the persons being an alcoholic or having some other type of psychological disorder which requires much attention and so- called sacrifice from the other.
At other times the effect of this aspect is simply to make a relationship very unrealistic. Instead of dealing with your real personalities, you impose this image on each other.
It may also be that you are quite realistic about each other, but not terribly realistic as a couple about others outside of your relationship whom you must deal with. This is particularly so with people you consult for advice, such as lawyers, doctors, or counselors. Be quite careful when working with such people, and do not take their advice uncritically.

Poissons, I don't believe in soul mates. I have learned very painfully that no matter how good and right the relationship looks and feels, if you don't work hard to keep it together, it won't last long.
If you think you have a go with that person, then go for him.

Love is in the air!

Hey Yin..how goes it???

Possions - My dad can be aloof, mostly he was always the strong and silent type (police officer / special agent). As he has aged he has become more sentimental. He has always stressed that family is the most important thing- and we have a very close family.

My brother is a Sag too- and with a Cancer mom - well it was a bit of a tense household.

I get along great with my step-mom. I have never had a problem with Pisces women- I should say MOST Pisces women. She is very strong -but she has those very pretty large eyes - Neptunes Daughter (My Mars is also in Pisces and my Neptune is in Scorp - mutual reception).

My Stepmom also has an Aries moon like me so we have that in common - her moon squares my dad's moon (his is in cancer) and that adds some spark.

She is also VERY petite - she is about 5 foot even - just tiny..and I am an amazon - 5 foot 9

My dad and I both share the Sun conjunct Venus aspect and we can both be charmers. He wasn't very faithful until he met my stepmom. He also has Venus in the 12th house -mine is in the 3rd house (I'll talk a good game but when it comes down to it....I run)

I am sorry to hear that. I guess the Pisces in me is what makes me believe in true love / soul mates. I'll take your advice and tell him how I feel. God, I am so terrified, I don't want to be rejected.

It's nice to know that your family is so close, I wish my family was like yours. I don't mean to sound rude, but I would prefer not to go into further detail about my childhood. It's not something I look back on with fond memories.

Well, I am pretty petite myself, although I don't know if it has anything to do with being a Pisces. My secret love, on the other hand, is quite tall. Yikes, I hope that doesn't affect my chances of being with him. Are men with Sun and Venus in Capricorn critical of their mates? What do they look for in a partner other than loyalty?
