dear all,

does anyone else have pallas conjunct the sun? i do, by 3° - both pallas and my sun are in the 6th house. it's not something i realized til recently, and i know pallas has something to do with pattern recognition and wisdom/logic. when i realized i had this aspect, it just clicked, i mean i look for patterns in EVERYTHING, and i always do well on the portions of intelligence tests where you have to seek out the next number, letter or symbol in the batch provided.

natasha, dont you have this aspect? or is it that your pallas is in the 1st house? i cant recall, though i know youve mentioned it before.

any thoughts or observations greatly appreciated.

sincerely,
chrissy

My Pallas is conjunct Neptune (and Vesta). I'll see what I can dig up though.

"Pallas in aspect to Sun

(Demetra George and Douglas Bloch)

The mental-creative principle combines with identity and purpose. This combination indicates that the transformation of sexual-creative energy into artistic and mental accomplishments is central to the life purpose.

Harmonious aspects point to strength of character, intelligence, and courage. These individuals tend to create through artistic, political, or healing forms. Due to the depolarization of male / female roles, the individual usually feels at ease in all types of sexual relationships.

Stressful aspects may symbolize a fear of one's power to accompilsh, which can lead to blocks in the mental and creative processes. Difficulties may arise in relating to one's father. These individuals may feel alienated from their own sexual identity. Consequently, they can experience confusion in their sexual interactions with others until they clarify their inner confusion.

The resolution of these conflicts lies in learning to harmoniously integrate one's creative aspirations into one's basic life purpose.

(Martha Lang-Westcott)

Harmonious aspects: To be a 'people pleaser' (by combining the signs and houses); to feel fulfilled through the approval of others; depending on the rest of the aspect pattern, this individual may only know who he or she is when he or she is mirrored in the smile / approval of another; the identity may be too closely linked to the recognition of others; to have creative perception and finesse."

ASTROJUNKIE, I am always grateful for people posting links - and I am so curious to read this one!!! But unfortunately I don't have a an MSN-memberhsip, so I cannot open this link. Would it be possible to "copy and paste" the interpretations for two more Pallas-aspects and post them here?
It's about Pallas cj. NN and Pallas square Neptune in a natal chart.

When I'm not so tired, I will come back and post what I know about Pallas. I've recently become a bit of a Pallas-junkie and so I have been doing a fair amount of research and was planning to post it anyhow. I have Pallas in the 1st house, conjunct Ascendant and Mercury (in Gemini). The pattern recognition is sooo me. Plus, with my mother and ex-bf I have my Pluto/Karma conjunct their Pallas.

I'll come back to this

Most of the info out there on pallas is wrong. I have reseached it with several dozen real case studies and it always goes with a natural originality. Where uranus is transformative and can seem antagonistic to immediate and local human concern - pallas is a static energy, like all the asteroids. It may go with a sort of unique mission, not in an active way, but passively. Standing on ones own without causing major upheavals - just naturally by being oneself, expressing a uniqueness. That is what pallas seems to be about pretty consistently.

I have Pallas Rising in Capricorn sextile my Scorpio Sun and square my Libra Venus/Uranus. Bucketrider, your description is the best I have seen: Standing on ones own without causing major upheavals - just naturally by being oneself, expressing a uniqueness. Although I am not sure what you mean by it being a passive or static energy.

I am a single out lesbian. I don't create a huge amount of waves but people notice me nonetheless. Any workplace that I enter I am asked questions because it is always assumed that I work there and know the answers :-) I had major difficulty ascertaining my sexual orientation. I feel and look feminine but do not wear makeup or heels. I do not consider myself androgynous. I am a lover of beauty and especially functional crafts. I am an analytical thinker and more mental than emotional though I have strong emotions I just don't get in touch with them very easily. I love and admire strength, integrity, honesty, and hard work. I do not dislike men but have so little in common with most men that I lack interest. I'm women-centered. I am interested in local politics, I am a feminist, and I am most interested in women's empowerment/women's networks etc.

I relate strongly to the idea of Pallas as a weaver or webmaster. It seems I am always seeing connections between ideas and often help connect other people to information or other people. I belong to several meetup organizations. Although I shy away from being overtly activist I am politically active in quiet ways.

According to Antero Alli, Pallas in the natal chart shows what we think is worth fight for.

quote:
My theory about astrological Pallas is that it can indicate a "conscious fighting spirit" in our lives aligned with a higher purpose than just fighting for the sake of fighting. Unlike Mars's blind aggression, the wisdom of Pallas is revealed by the knowledge of what is worth fighting for.

For example, my natal Pallas is conjunct my IC in Pisces (in 4th House).

What is worth fighting for to me is the privacy and sanctuary of a shelter. I didn't use to fight for this which resulted in over-extending myself and burning out. My receptivity and privacy are definitely worth fighting for considering how dynamic, ambitious and action-oriented my public life can be. I see Pallas as an important reference when I forget what is actually worth fighting for, i.e., when I find myself fighting against anything (waste of time).

If you can identify the symbol of Pallas in your chart, (looks like Venus with a diamond head), then you might see if the sign and the house Pallas is in symbolizes what might be worth fighting for in your life.
