I've heard that singletons can be a powerful force in one's chart. Anyone care to elaborate?

I have a Singleton Leo in Uranus - the only Fire in a Chart full of Water & Earth. So it's important to me.

I have a Moon singleton in the 1st house. It seems like it almost rules my chart, making me super-emotional/ruled by emotions.

Interesting ...

Have any of you been able to find out exactly how it affects those houses? I think have a singleton -- my only Earth element is Mercury in Taurus, in the 6th house.

I have a singleton Pluto in Scorpio as well, but I don't really understand how this effects me. Anyone wanna try and explain? I read the article on the site but I can't seem to apply it to myself personally.

Hey Ichigo,

I've noticed some of those interpretations go a lil overboard. But I did find some points to be true for me.

"Power is certainly a big issue with Pluto, but it can manifest in many different ways. A conscious individual of integrity or another Plutonian person will almost always like the singleton Pluto person. People with guilt complexes or who are self-deceptive and self-righteous (and a lot of that is going on these days with Pluto in Sagittarius!), will hate the Plutonian. Pluto can see their dirty little secrets and the skeletons in their closets, and hears the sound of their lies, smells the stench of their hypocrisies."

do you feel that's pretty accurate for u? Because I thought that paragraph was very true for me. I think the house Pluto is in matters as well. Mine is in the 5th. That might have to do with children, fun, games, love..I'm not sure how to apply it to that though..Edit: It's also opposite my venus.

PS haven't seen many other interpretations on singletons...too bad cause it is pretty interesting

Yeah that does sound pretty accurate. I'll look up more reading about it and tell you if I find anything. Maybe there some books I can look for, I'll tell you what I find. My Pluto is in the 8th House though so it'll probably effect me in different areas in my life... I'm trying to think of how though.

Do I have a Uranus singleton?

I have a second house Uranus in Scorpio. The only other water in my chart is my Cancer MC.

Some say yes, I do, others say no it's not a singleton... I'm just confused!

Can't singletons loosely be any sign/angle/ house/planet which is on its own in terms of individuality.. as in.. one of the modes/elements/signs?
For instance, if you have all planets in the lower hemisphere of your chart, and then one (~a single-ton~) in the upper hemisphere, it would put more emphasis upon this one planet and house in the way you present yourself, as opposed to the more personal you.
So if you have only one water sign planet.. *the MC is an angle* then it would be a singleton.
Or at least important in terms of its position ( so, Scorpio, ruling the eighth house and all it represents, in its opposite house, the second... and Uranus's energy.. you would earn money in a unique way, and enjoy independance in your home life. your surroundings.. you are used to doing things your own way and appreciate them as such. Will earn more comfortably being your own boss as opposed to working under someone else's tutelage.

Yes - I should have included the House it affects. My Singleton Uranus in Leo (only Fire) in my 4th House does seem to create more disruption in my family and partnership life than I'd prefer.

I have a singleton Jupiter in Pisces in the 7th. All my other planets are on the lower hemisphere of my chart, which supposedly makes for a more introverted personality. However, I can't seem to find out how my singleton Jupiter relates to my personality. I know the 7th house rules relationships which is something I've always struggled with. Can anyone possibly offer an interpretation?

"Jupiter in 7th House

This is an excellent position for Jupiter and it provides many benefits through the marriage relationship. Sometimes Jupiter in the Seventh House indicates a marriage to a person of a different race. Generally, it precipitates gains through the actions of the business or marriage partner. In connection with public and social affairs, it signifies that the native will hold a position of authority. The partner, even if he is really not interested, will show just concern and interest for the position the native assumes here."

AND

"Jupiter in Pisces -

The position is questionable because if the emotional side of the nature is not controlled emotional disturbances will occur which will have a negative effect upon personal relationships. Yet if this emotion can be controlled beautiful and rewarding personal relationships will occur.

The native must always be careful that other people do not abuse his basic hospitable nature or get him to make sacrifices for them or do things for them which are not fair to himself."
