"A New Year's Romance

The Winter of Love -
How will you remember 2004? Was it career oriented? Full of family? Well, hold that thought because this year ain't over yet -- and it's about to go out with a romantic bang!

Mercury and Venus are meeting in a romantic little tryst that will last for a ridiculously long time -- nearly a month -- and the end of 2004 and start of 2005 might just become known as your personal 'winter of love.'

The Mercury-Venus Connection -

Mercury, the messenger of the gods, rules communication, while Venus watches over love, money and receptivity. And when these two planets work their magic together, 'love is in the air' becomes more than just a saying. They officially connect on December 28th, but rather than just hanging out together for a day or two and moving on, the planets will waltz hand in hand until the week of January 24th, when they'll finally start to pull apart. And if that's not enough, this romantic couple gets a huge jump-start at the very beginning of their relationship with a meeting with dreamy Neptune, which will cast a rosy glow over the entire interaction.

A New Year's to Remember -

With New Year's heading our way, these transits couldn't have happened at a better time. This is your opportunity to spice up your love life (or just get one started) as Mercury and Venus work to unite all hearts. If you're in a relationship, take advantage of the brilliant communication you two will be sharing -- patch up any differences you might have and be prepared for the romantic jolt that's sure to come just from understanding each other better. If you're still looking for that special someone, now's the time to get out there and get noticed -- strike up a conversation with anyone who catches your fancy and don't be surprised when they ask for your phone number. This will definitely be a New Year's to remember!"

God I hope we all feel this! It's about time! Seeing that the Jupiter in Libra didn't end up doing much for most.

thanks for sharing.

Thank you AJ!

This Mercury-Venus transit will conjunct my natal Moon/Jupiter (which are exactly conjunct) in the 5th house, in January.

Perhaps a new romance?

Or perhaps...I've been looking for a day in January to begin writing my 2nd novel. This big transit just might be the ticket...I'll look at all the other stuff, too.

So thank you!

Thanks for that info AJ

Increased romance would be greatly welcomed. (Boy would it! ) But with T. Mercury and Venus both currently squaring my natal 7th House Uranus and Pluto until the beginning of January, I forsee some unexpected turbulence in my relationships before it's all over and done with.

Geez- just look at half the topics listed in this forum to see it's true!

Yes, I have certainly experienced the romance bloom, and am in the process of getting my passport together for what I hope will be a romantic adventure.

This might also be a sign of things to come in the new year- after the countdown, a friend began throwing confetti and I quite literally, got stars in my eyes.

An omen, perhaps?

Did everyone remember to burn their red underwear???

On the last day of the old year you're supposed to wear red underwear, and then burn them on the first day of the new year.

This is supposed to bring you hot sex for the next 365 days.

Gosh, I thought everybody knew about that one. The store I went to was sold out of red panties; I had to go with hot pink!

I thought it worked out better anyway.
pink= love, red= passion, hot pink= both

Do you live outside the U.S. Leyla? Or maybe it's a regional thing? Because I have never heard of that tradition either.
...Although I wish I had as it sounds like a fun one.
