3 years back when there was an equake in gujarat (india) the entire world contributed to help the victims. they gave money, clothes, food, blankets, tents etc... during the aftermath the media was so engaged in that they never bothered to know what is happening to the material that has come from the world. in the end what happened is that the local politicians took all the material and SOLD it to those who could afford it. things went to the market insetad of relief camps. apples from china, blankets from russia and what not. there was very little that reached the victims. the victims belonged to the bhuj area which is not known for wealth. one media preport said that if the funds and other materials were to equally distributed among the victims they would beocmes twice more wealthy as they were but the thing never happened.

besides, there was a report in india today that the indian tsunami victims are refusing to take old clothes. also, it is worth noting that india denied foreign help cause probably they know what happened during the gujarat quake.

if u still feell like doing something then come over here and help them but NEVER giver cheques or cash as the funds are most likely to be miss used.

the rest is on god.
