I personally really enjoyed The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need by Joanna Martine Woolfolk. It has a lot of info on the Sun Signs and then the Moon signs and a bit on how to read charts .

I also read Astrology for Dummies by Rae Orion. I thought this was good for a basic, clear explanation for a lot of astrology stuff that confused me, but I swear there's a few inaccuracies in this book.

I also just got The Practical Astrologer by Nicholas Campion. It's out of print, but you can find it on amazon.com used for pretty cheap. It's older, and has a lot about how to do all the calculations, but I still found a lot of valuable info and there's lots of pictures! It also goes more in-depth into the sidereal and tropical times, the ecliptic, how to read a chart and put all of the information together as a whole. He has newer books that I have yet to see, but I imagine they are probably just as good and updated.

Hello Neptune's Maiden,
I am still, incredibly, green at astrology but, because I have been trying to ' get it ' for about a year now, the best advice I have for you is, to get a good grasp of each planet, house, sign seperately, before moving on to the next. Basics of each, individualy. I did'nt do that so, here I am with over a year of trying to ' get it ' and, I am now out in a vast sea of knowledge. Meanwhile, the villiage is wondering..... hehehe.
Anyway, my favorite book, so far, has been something from a, ' dumbies ' style, series. It is K.I.S.S; Keep it Simple Series, Astrology. It covers the basics,... simple. I have that book by Joanna Martine Woolfolk but, I've yet to open it up. I'll have to do that this evening...
Have fun Neptune's Maiden! Maybe you could throw your findings my way!
Later,
~ geminstone

Go to your main chains as well as the privately owned metaphysical stores. You might find some magazines you may like, and of course, all of Linda's stuff is recommended.

Another good way that helped me learn some things firsthand was getting Sydney Omarr's stuff, get the year ahead, as well as your daily for your Sign. It's not customized to your Natal Chart, but you can learn that way too.

(He's a Leo, by the way)
