In a synastry,if you want to know some truth about what the other person feels about you or whatelse there is a simple exercice that could help
First see in wich house your sun get in the other person chart. that house would be the 1st house for you...and so on...see the 4th house for you, is where you can get the feelings about you by the other person...
the 8th house for you are very interesting also...see how the other person feels about sex with you ..the 10th house for you is where you can know about what the other person wants for you...itīssimple and interesting

Angelicus... How interesting. For my ex-bf (the lyin' Pisces) my sun falls in his 4th house... no, wait... it falls in his 3rd house... Aquarius rules his 4th house, but my sun is at 5 degrees of Aqua and that's 3rd house.

So do I count the 3rd house as my 1st house?

What does this all mean?

Hmmmm, this is interesting. But why would your sun be used?

Wouldn't you look for your first house in your partner's chart, by looking to see where your Ascendant falls in his/her chart?

Angelicus,

This sounds interesting and I would like to check into it some more, but I'm not sure I've completely understood exactly what you've said. Could you elaborate a little more? I think I get confused when you say

quote:
First see in wich house your sun get in the other person chart. that house would be the 1st house for you

This sounds interesting, though! Thanks for the information!

Are you saying we look where our 4th house is and when we overlay our charts, see what house in their chart is located in our 4th?

Or vice versa? Now I'm confused. Please explain.

The 4th house is the house of home. So...what is for you the 4th house in your partner's chart would show you how he sees you in relation to 'home.'

In other words, Angelicus is saying that if, for example, your natal sun falls in your partner's natal 7th house, you could look at that as being your 1st house in synastry. It's a way of seeing how your partner views you, by the way you overlay his chart. If his 7th is your 1st, then his 8th is your second, his 9th is your third, etc.

However...a chart always begins with the Ascendant, which is why I questioned the rationale of using the Sun, rather than the Ascendant, to determine your 1st house in your partner's chart.

Hi!!

Thanks trillian, thatīs exactelly, what I īve wanted to say...my english is not very good, I understand all I read from you,but I īve some difficulty on writting..Iīm going to try to express my self the best I can.

Why sun?? The sun represents the ego, the house where sun is placed on synastry is the house lighted by the other person, the house wich is the focus of all relationship, that is why is the beginnig, the first house for the person. So itīs simple, imagine that your sun lights the 6th house of your loved one...his 7th house is the 2nd house for you related to him, his 5th house is your 12th house, that means that for your loved one the pleasures concerned to you will be few..

Iīve told about the 4th house because is the house of all that is hidden from the surface...for example if you have mars on your 4th, you surelly be some energic people, but is something that people not get, only when they know you better...so if you want to know the real feelings of someone about you look for the 4th house counting from the house where your sun is placed.

another exemple, ifthe sun of your loved one lights your 3rd house, so your second will be his/her 12th house, so itīs better to save your money for you, your 1st as 11th, your identity are going to be part of a group, your 12th as his/her 10th, your secrets come to public...an so one. Of course the planets placed on houses tell you more.

I hope Iīve helped a litle, your comments will be wellcome.

kisses

Hello, Angelicus!

I'm still a little bit confused, but I'm still learning how to do all of this, so I may need a little more help than some of the others. If I tell you my sun is in sag in the 12 house, where would I go from here?

Wish I could sit down beside someone, to see what your talking about...
It'd be awhole lot easier for me to understand...

With his 4th house it looks like it's beginning at the end of Libra and stops in Scorpio.

My 4th house, looks like it's half way between Sagg, and Capricorn.

My 2nd & 3rd houses fall about half in libra into scorpio, and not quite half way into Sagg.

Call me confused...

Angelicus, no problem...I know what a strange and nuanced language English can be. So let me try to explain it again, because it is a bit confusing.

OK, future_uncertain and/or Ginger B.
Let's try an example. Pull out your chart, and the chart of your significan other.
You will be referred to as Person A, and for this example, Person A is female. Your significant other will be Person B, who will be male. Be sure to have the charts in front of you.

Remember, natal chart is the birth chart.

Example: Person A has Sun in 25 degrees of Leo in her natal chart. So, A looks at her boyfriend's chart. Her boyfriend has 16 degrees of Leo on the cusp of his 6th house.
So, if A were to put her natal Sun in B's chart, it would fall in his 6th house.

Now here is where it gets a little wonky. Because A's sun is in B's 6th house, Angelicus says this is where A's chart begins in B's chart--meaning this is the effect of A on B. This is how you impact his life, how he sees you and how your energies are felt by him. A's Sun falling in B's 6th house will energize things like his work, or perhaps a project done together. But because it's also A's "first house" it defines the way you are perceived by B. It's just an alternate way of looking at synastry.

That would make B's 7th house, A's 2nd house. The money house. Etc.

I'm just trying to explain things...I really haven't experimented with this method to determine its weight in synastry.

And what does it mean if your sun falls into his 12th house? He sees you as mysterious? Or he wants to hide you? lol And what does it mean if your sun makes a (wide, 9°) conjunction with his AC? And his sun conjuncts your IC?

Interesting theory.

Sun in partner's 12th House -

"The placement of the Sun in twelfth house of a partner's chart suggests a somewhat intuitive ability to communicate. You are well "tuned in" to him, and there is a somewhat subconscious connection. You may be something of a "help-mate" to the other, especially with regard to understanding life as a whole. Frequently, this placement brings a complete change of perspective to this person whose twelfth house is visited."

AND

"Your Sun in your partner's 12th House:

This overlay can be a confusing one. There is a general sense of mistrust that stems from misunderstanding. In some cases, you might be very fascinated with your partner, as if he/she marches to the beat of a different drummer. However, you may not "get" what he/she is all about, ultimately, and you should avoid finding irrational reasons to mistrust your partner as a result of this."

Sun Conjunct Asc in Synastry -

This is one of the great indicators for a stable and long lasting relationship. The ascendant individual can identify with the solar person and the solar person has respect and admiration for the ascendant individual. The ascendant person likes the purpose or main goal in life of the solar person. The solar person often (subconsciously or not) wishes that they were more like the ascendant person. If romance is possible, then this is often an indication of a physical attraction."
