So, I'm just curious...
Seems like there's been times when I've run into a nut or two, so I would like to know...

Where is the 'crazy house'?
Is there an certain place to look on someone's chart to see if they are a resident?

If so, where?
And what type things does one look for to find these things?

I am inquiring as to what placement, or house, or signs, elements...

Whatever would point out the idea/warning, that would alert an astrologer, or someone seeking to the info, that a chart might show for someone who's considered 'crazy'.

Can these things be seen in an astrological chart?

So far as I know, there is no way to tell how sane a person is from their chart.

HOWEVER, if you have Aquarius on or Uranus near or in your seventh house, you may attract "crazies"....because your childhood taught you to expect them..........someone "crazy" in your earliest environment.

Along the lines of what Forest Gump might say, "Crazy is as crazy does."

there's an aspect in my chart that an astrologer friend of mine told me was related to craziness. it is moon opposite uranus, and basically means the way my mother treated me made me FEEL crazy. which is entirely true (very mentally/emotionally abusive, but pretended to the rest of the world she was awesome and sweet, and that i lied about it, etc).

intuiting from that, maybe any harsh aspect to uranus would have the potential to stir up some crazy energy..?

I have heard that hard aspects between Uranus and Neptune with Mercury (especially in Aquarius) can make one wired in an, um, unique way.

Well, let's define the terms here; now what kind of crazy are we talking about? Total nutcase, psychological problems? Or crazy in that silly, gregarious way? Or "crazy" as in all those un-words...unconventional, unpredictable?
Crazy the way a homicidal manical is? Or some guy on the street chasing after you and yelling things about Jesus or aliens?
Or someone who likes to do things just a little differently that you might be used to?

Aquarius in or near 7th house might attract "crazies"?

Explains everything.

I attract crazies. Could it be Uranus conj. MC? 8th house Moon conj. NN? 7th house Saturn conj. Vertex? Sun conj. Eros? Dunno. Probably all of them.

But then, like attracts like.

hmm...
well, Tarus is in my 7th house.
And Uranus is in Leo, in my 12th house, as well as sharing the 12th house with Pluto in Virgo.

(ya'll should all be so proud to know I'm picking up all this just from reading things here & asking questions, *thank you*)

Childhood would have taught me to expect very caluculating, mean spirited liars.
At least if it were dependant upon a paternal grand-mother, she wasn't crazy, she knew what she was doing...

So with this info...

Would an Aquarius Moon (7th house), and Uranus in Libra (3rd house), 3rd house shared with Pluto in Virgo, be a crazy person, or just smart enough to convince a Dr. they were crazy?

Which one of these houses, shows what kind of a thinker you are?

So far, as I know I've not run into anyone who has a deep dark chaotic well of crazyness. a.k.a.

Ha!!!

Well, I've certainly been called crazy enough times so far in this incarnation...

Lemme see... Aqua merc and mars in 11th house... ruled by Uranus, opposing my moon (5th house in Leo)... Aqua sun sextile Uranus (in Scorpio, 8th house)... Neptune (Saggie 9th house) sextile Moon. Hmm... does that indicate ''crazy''? Or is it just *ahem* uniqueness ???

Funny also, Pisces friend has the following:
Mercury in Aqua (12th house) square Uranus (8th house Saggie), Sun in Pisces (12th) square Uranus. Crazy? SWEET!! Like 26 said, ''like attracts like''

it realllly depends on the type of crazy you're talking about...anyway, I've been called crazy and weird plenty of times...and looking, I have Neptune in Sagittarius in the 8th house, squaring my Sun, trined by Venus, and Uranus in Sagittarius in 7th house squaring my Venus (very individual, unique ideas there), Mars conjuncting it which seems to be a high energy, bold placement. Oh and then Neptune sextile Pluto...haha I seem way too intense, and a bit off to a lot of people. :P

lol 26T that must be why I think you're rad :P *is crazy*

Purple Sparkles, My mom was very much like that too.

Interesting... My moon isn't opposite Uranus (*snicker*), BUT Uranus is in my 6th Hs., near the 7th.

Interesting.

A hard angle between Mars & Uranus has the potential to cause one to go especially bonkers.
...Of course, depending on what signs they're in (*Aries - watch out!*) and the other chart aspects will indicate just how far it will go. A strong Saturn with this aspect would probably rein in the tempermental outbursts.

LibraSparkle ~ I found this regarding Mars trine Uranus:

'With the trine between Mars and Uranus your energy level is high, you will like to be on the go with plenty to occupy you. You value your personal freedom and independence highly in all areas of your life, from your job to your relationships. In your work, you will not be satisfied with a normal routine 9 to 5 job, you need something that keeps you on the move and maintains your interest. You will approach anything that really interests you with a great deal of energy and enthusiasm. In your personal relationships, independence and freedom of action are again very important to you, and you will not tolerate a relationship that confines or restricts you for too long. You are a free spirit with a desire for adventure, and many people will admire you for your initiative and originality, and your willingness to take risks (that often pay off) rather than accept a predictable and secure existence.'

Yep... that describes me well Thanks Sassy

This does too:

quote:
Moon Square Uranus

You are a rather excitable person, always looking for ways to bring excitement and change into your life, although you may not be aware that you are doing this. Sometimes the excitement may come from other people who seem to disrupt your life. Often this aspect indicates that at some time when you were quite young, your home life was upset in a way that made you feel unable to depend on others for emotional support. So you have decided not to depend emotionally on anyone and to be free in as many other ways as possible. You don't want to be restricted, and you will rebel against anyone who tries to confine you.

You have a strong need to have experiences that are very unusual, so you are attracted to anything new and different. You will even do something just to shock the stuffy people around you. Or you may be fairly conventional yourself but attract friends who are offbeat.

You are not very comfortable with traditions, unless it is clear to you that they have some real use. Having to stay in a specific place annoys you, because you want to be free to move about as you want. When you are older, your love relationships will be much freer than usual, because you do not want to be emotionally tied to anyone more than you have to be.

When you are upset, you tend to act without thinking, so try not to do anything at all while you are in that mood. Wait until you cool off and can see the situation clearly.
