Ok, so I'm probably stating something someone noticed ages ago, but humour me here.

Through observation... and stuff, I've noticed how people tend to form crushes on people whose Sun signs trine their Moon

ie. I have an Aries Moon and I have crushes mainly on Saggitarians and Aries (one Leo).

My friend has a Gemini Moon and she has a crush on a Libran guy.

There are other examples but God knows I've probably forgotten.
Oh and I'm just talking about crushes- not serious relationships.
Am I being stupid?

not being stupid at all!
This is definitely a common pattern and we have mentioned it before.
I have definitely had a lot of crushes on fire signs. It's just a kind of immediate attraction to a person, quite inexplicable (isn't attraction always inexplicable?)
Of course there are SOOOOOO many astrological factors that can cause attraction but moon trine sun is a very common one and a biggie. And you're right- I find it's not any indication of the durability of that attraction.

Yeah, they tend to be the people I just find hot initially but not after I find out more about. I've had so many crushes on Saggitarians... they're very good actors.
Never had a crush on Brad Pitt though, ironically enough.

Just to keep this straight then trine can mean simply of the same element? COmmunication should then come easliy between these people. have similar sitchewation. Gemini Moon~Aqua sun.

I don't find it to be true, personally. I have moon in Libra. There are a couple of Geminis I find to be attractive (usually they have a lot of water in their chart.) I've never been attracted to any Aquas.

I think that your moon square or conjunct their sun or rising makes for the strongest physical attraction. For me, its typically leos or aquas, sometimes scorpios.

"I think that your moon square or conjunct their sun or rising makes for the strongest physical attraction."

Is what you're saying the opposite to my original thought, Blue Roamer? Hmmm... why would your Moon NOT being compatable with their sun/asc be good? Are you talking about in the long run or meeting someone in person? With the theory I mentioned earlier, I meant definately more with people you have never met or had very little contact with.

I suppose, my Moon is in Aries and the biggest attraction I've had in a long time is this Capricorn guy (Aries/Cap aren't usually compatable right?). Does it work the opposite way?
ie. You fancy people with moons conj. square to your sun/asc?

Thanks
~Doogie~

My crushes always seem to have a personal planet at a degree that conjuncts my MC. *Very* strong attraction there.

But putting the moon into the mix, mine squares my MC. So there'd be my Moon sq his personal planet. Doesn't always feel "comforting" or like the most natural association sometimes, but, darn, there are sparks!

***Another theory:***

I also have a stellium of planets loosely conj my IC, with Pluto involved in the closest aspect to that point. Well these planets square my lil combo that includes my Moon, so I just have one big weirdo square. --->But, see, the theory I read (sorry, forgot where) is that if you have a strong square, you'll be attracted to someone (Im guessing with a personal planet) who turns your weirdo square into a T-square. Likewise if you have a strong opposition, someone who has a planet who turns that into a T-square or a grand cross would also appeal. And a strong conjuction etc. You could go round and round with this one. Also a strong trine that would be turned into a grand trine when combined in synastry (I'm not talking about composites here).

But I know for sure either the MC theory or the natal aspect transformation into something larger when paired with another's personal planet is *definitely* holding a big ol' bag of lead regarding validity.

I'll agree that Moon in trine aspect to another's Sun/Asc is *very* comfy and feels quite nice, especially when it's natal condition is receiving abuncha "hard" aspects. But it's never put a fire in my lil oven.

What an interesting theory.

I easily develop crushes w/ signs compatible or opposite my Moon in Libra (Aquarians, Aries mainly) ... and can see how someone else whose Moon sits on my Asc may feel an instant bond too.

I think you could be onto something here...

Thatīs sooo true! That Moon-Sun trine thing... I never thought of that...

The only crush I have ever felt in my life was towards a guy whose Sun in Aries was trining my Moon in Sag with an orb of 3š...

I donīt know if his Moon trines mine because I donīt know his exact time of birth but is pretty close... His Moon is in Cappy and Iīm a Virgo Sun...

WOW!!! I was always a kind of Romeo and Juliet thing... Thatīs a definite thumbs-up!

That might work, except I'm ususally drawn to guys who's sun sign is merely compatible or conflicted with my moon in Leo...not usually the ones who don't aspect it at all.
My list:
Scorpio (1)
Taurus (3)
Gemini (1)
Libra (1)
Caprcorn (1)

No fire signs in the flesh, unless you count my obsession with Patrick Swayze(Leo) and Ewan McGregor(Aries), LOL.
Granted, all the real-life guys had MAJOR planets and/or rising in fire signs, so...

Hmm...This Moon/Crush theory thing ..dont know if it applies to crushes in my life but it does apply to friends. I've had a Sun/Moon trine or Moon/Moon trine with a lot of my friends.

Hm.
My Moon's in Aqua...and I can't say that I crush easily.

If I do, it's generally been someone with a strong Scorpio/Plutonion influence (but, then, I have a Scorp Rising and am a Fish).

A confident but not overbearing intellect really does turn me on, though.
Dude's gotta have a good head on his shoulders. A little quirky iconoclasm doesn't hurt things, either.
Those honestly do more for me then any amount of physical attractiveness.

NOTE: I'm married to a guy with an Aqua Sun conj. my Moon to the degree, a 1st House Uranus conj. Jupiter, and a Scorp Asc

Virgo-AriesArtist, that's exactly what I'm talking about- famous people or people you don't really know. I don't mean people you actually have had relationships with.

I'm pretty sure the strongest PHYSICAL attractions are your venus conj/oppo/square their asc or sun, or your moon making the same aspects to their asc or sun....trines/sextiles make for better compatibility, but they don't usually indicate a strong sexual attraction

Well I don't know about crush, that could be around the zodiac.

My Moon is Libra ~ Aquarians have featured heavily in my life in serious relationships. My husband is Sun Aqua.

Interesting BlueRoamer..!

I have aries moon and venus and i'm VERY attracted to an aries sun/venus with possibly a libra AC.

We both have venus/aries and mars/taurus so they are a DW semi-sextile.

My Moon is in Aquarius, but I have never had a crush on Aquarius or Gemini, even though Gemini is in my 7th house.
When I ws youngr I had several crushes on Libras, though (Libra is on my MC).

This is what my husband (soulmate) and I have. Here is what it says:

267 Trine Sun - Moon

Positive aspect: This is likely to be a significant relationship. There is a strong feeling of belonging to one another, for better or for worse, that keeps the two together. It's an excellent aspect for a union: they are made to go well together, to understand, appreciate, love and complement each other.

Last crushes sun signs:
Pisces (Venus activation)
Aquarius (this would correspond with your theory, my moon is in Libra)
Pisces
Capricorn

I guess I love winter babies like myself.
